- DirectorFisher StevensStarsAl PacinoChristopher WalkenAlan ArkinA pair of aging stickup men try to get the old gang back together for one last hurrah before one of the guys takes his last assignment - to kill his comrade."It's a film with three strong actors, one of them is Al Pacino, the second one is Christopher Walken and the third one is Alan Arkin." - Vitez
"That's like a three tenors sketch, he names the first two - and the other guy. The same as here - Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and the other guy." - Sedlar
"Yeah, Arkin's apparently got the least screen time..." - Vitez
#I've given up thinking I'm going to see a good film with Christopher Walken ever again, even though Walken himself is probably good in it." - Vitez
"Exept him, there is Al Pacino who could be seen dancing in the trailer, as we seen him in 'The Scent of a Woman' (1992)." - Vitez
"What's interesting about this film is that the director is a somebody totally uninteresting, I'm not even going to name him here, he's completely irrelevant character, he's a C or D-class of actors, you know..." - Vitez
"I've seen that he used to be an actor." - Sedlar
"Yeah, and those were really an episode roles, TV roles, low category, but he managed to acquire these three, obviously his ideals, give them this clumsy script so they accepted the roles." - Vitez
"Pull it off as best as you can!" - Sedlar
"It's a little story about a minor gangster played by Al Pacino, greeted by his best friend upon Pacino's getting out of prison, they are to spend the next day together, but the catch is Walken gets to kill him in the end of that day, or else they will both get killed, and actually nothing new, already seen..." - Vitez
"Director didn't have much ambition here, he gathered the actors he wanted to hang out with, so they hanged out, had some fun, gave them each a little scene where he was good the last time, Pacino dances, Walken fights a bit, he's cool, and Arkin... I don't know what he does, he's a sidekick, the other guy... Spoiler: I heard he died at one early point in the film, he's not there a lot." - Vitez
"They pushed him in to complete the trio" - Sedlar
"Tagline is interesting, it says: 'They don't make 'em like they used to.', it's true, *beep* it, auto-ironic (laugh)." - Vitez
"To me, this film looks like they're trying to get this past glory... We see some cynical comments in the trailer, when he starts the engine with a push of a button and says: 'This is the future.'
In this little scene in the trailer, see it if you like, this actor's grovel is so obvious, they are allowed to do whatever they want at that point, to improvise something... These inexperienced little directors always think that's gonna be great, but actually no - give a strong script to the actor, like in mentioned earlier 'Glengarry Glen Ross' (1992). - Vitez
"After you've mentioned 'Seven Psychopaths' (2012), I'm very afraid of this, so I'm avoiding it in a wide circle." - Vitez
"I think I'm definitely not going to watch this, except maybe in a plane, if I had to choose between Adam Sandler and..." - Sedlar
"'Stand Up Guys', since they don't make them like they used to, can be skipped. - Vitez - DirectorJames FoleyStarsAl PacinoJack LemmonAlec BaldwinAn examination of the machinations behind the scenes at a real estate office."Pacino and Arkin starred together in 'Glengarry Glen Ross', they were great there." - Vitez
"Oh, yeah - now that's a film!" - Sedlar
"It's a catalog of male acting, that one." - Vitez
"I've seen the film and then I read the play. I thought the text was, being so natural and fluent, partly improvised - no, it's word by word, letter by letter, literally in there." - Vitez
"There's an expression for Mamet's dialogues - 'Mamet-speak'." - Sedlar
"But in the end 'Glengarry Glen Ross, which wasn't done in one, but two or three rooms, they could be gathered in one, actually, with a little creativity, it's not even important for some scenes to be shot in other rooms, it could've been joined in one main room. Another example of this kind of film." - Vitez & Sedlar - DirectorMichael CiminoStarsRobert De NiroChristopher WalkenJohn CazaleAn in-depth examination of the ways in which the Vietnam War impacts and disrupts the lives of several friends in a small steel mill town in Pennsylvania."From 'Deer Hunter' where he had a bigger role, and it's an excellent film, I can't remember any good films with Christopher Walken... And we're not talking about a short episode in 'Pulp Fiction'(1994), or a short episode in 'True Romance' (1993)." - Vitez
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsJohn TravoltaUma ThurmanSamuel L. JacksonThe lives of two mob hitmen, a boxer, a gangster and his wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.
- DirectorTony ScottStarsChristian SlaterPatricia ArquetteDennis HopperIn Detroit, a pop-culture nerd steals cocaine from his new wife's pimp and tries to sell it in Hollywood, prompting the mobsters who own the drugs to pursue the couple.
- DirectorDavid CronenbergStarsChristopher WalkenBrooke AdamsTom SkerrittA man awakens from a coma to discover he has a psychic ability to foresee future events."I liked... What's it called, 'Dead Zone', it's from '85, I think., something like that. Cronenbergs film based on King's story, where he falls, gets injured and then he can see the future." - Vitez
"Did you say it's from '85?" - Vitez
"Yeah, I think so." - Sedlar
"Well, that was thirty years ago!" - Vitez
"True, and since then..." - Sedlar - CreatorLorne MichaelsStarsThe Saturday Night Live BandDon PardoDarrell HammondA famous guest host stars in parodies and sketches created by the cast of this witty show."Have you seen him [Christopher Walken] in 'Saturday night live'?" - Vitez
"I've seen him in a well known sketch from one of my favorite bands, Blue Oyster Cult, the cow bell sketch." - Sedlar
"He acted as THE Bruce Dickinson." - Vitez
"He had a nice little role called The Continental, he had a roll of an American guy who always talks to the camera, the subject of camera, the hot chick would approach him and he flirts with her the European way. There were really funny moments, it always lasted to long, it was a bit tiring in the end, but he threw some funny accents and it was great!" - Vitez
"He [Adam Sandler] was a 'Saturday Night Live generation after the one with THE Dickinson, not exactly after that one, but, like, the beginning of the nineties is when he started... Was he in 'Saturday Night'? That's a few years after Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd, in my opinion they were, like, the peak, the core..." - Sedlar
"But Sandler's generation had Norm MacDonald... The next generation of 'Saturday Night Live' is always... Although, honestly, 'Saterday Night Live sucks as well, whenever I try to watch it, those are high school level sketches, not exactly something. If we could've watched it at that time... I think it aired on [Croatian] Program +, they were showing Star Trek and stuff like that every evening, well, if they aired 'Saturday Night Live' then, that would be... " - Vitez & Sedlar - DirectorMartin BrestStarsAl PacinoChris O'DonnellJames RebhornA prep school student needing money agrees to "babysit" a blind man, but the job is not at all what he anticipated.
- DirectorDennis DuganStarsAdam SandlerKatie HolmesAl PacinoFamily guy, Jack Sadelstein, prepares for the annual event he always dreads--the Thanksgiving visit of his fraternal twin sister, the needy, and passive-aggressive Jill, who then refuses to leave."I've heard this last... second to last film of his, Jack and Jill, with Adam Sandler who acts as his sister and himself, I've heard it's so bad... I would recommend American reviews at 'Huffing the Bag', they totally slammed the film and presented it as a huge commercial for some kind of a resort. I would recommend this review to everyone. When I've seen it, and I've seen a lot of crap from Adam Sandler, I thought Pacino chooses his roles, you know..." - Sedlar
- DirectorDavid MametStarsSteve MartinBen GazzaraCampbell ScottAn employee who develops a lucrative secret process for his corporation is tempted to betray the company when higher ups attempt to take the process from him. Dastardly intrigue ensues."Just a short note, 'The Spanish Prisoner' is on TV this weekend, directed also by Mamet, but *beep* it, his directing is bad... The films directed by him, if you've seen one, they always have the same twist, you can't be surprised any more." - Vitez
- DirectorDavid MametStarsGene HackmanRebecca PidgeonDanny DeVitoA career jewel thief finds himself at tense odds with his longtime partner, a crime boss who sends his nephew to keep watch."Have you seen 'Heist', some kind of a gangster film, a film with loads of funny one-liners, Mamet wrote and directed it?" - Vitez
"Film is crap, but it has one of the best one-liners ." - Sedlar
"Which one, the one with the Bible?" - Vitez
"No, my favorite one is when he asks him: 'This Pinky, is he cool?', and he says: 'My *beep* is so cool that when he goes to bed, sheep count him (laugh)." - Sedlar
"There's loads of these one-liners, but also loads of twists, and after a time you just don't care any more. There's a good one-liner in 'Heist', they talk about their colleague, the two robbers, and one of them says he always carries a Bible in his inner pocket and imagine, he says, during the robbery they started shooting at them and the Bible stopped the bullet. To bad, he says, he didn't hold one in front of his head, maybe he would have survived. (laugh) - Vitez
"Funny, but two hundred unrelated black jokes like this..." - Vitez
"It's better for a stand up comedy, not for a film that is supposed to connect those things... I mean, film itself was really... This one and 'Spartan' (2004) were terribly bogus." - Sedlar - DirectorDavid MametStarsVal KilmerDerek LukeWilliam H. MacyThe investigation into a kidnapping of the daughter of a high-ranking US government official."I haven't seen 'Spartan' after all." - Vitez
- DirectorPaul Thomas AndersonStarsAdam SandlerEmily WatsonPhilip Seymour HoffmanSocially frustrated Barry Egan calls a phone-sex line to curb his loneliness. Little does he know it will land him in deep trouble and will jeopardize his burgeoning romance with the mysterious Lena."He [Adam Sandler] has a few good films. 'Punch-Drunk Love' is good..." - Sedlar
- DirectorJudd ApatowStarsAdam SandlerSeth RogenLeslie MannWhen seasoned comedian George Simmons learns of his terminal, inoperable health condition, his desire to form a genuine friendship causes him to take a relatively green performer under his wing as his opening act."I haven't seen it, it's by Apatow." - Sedlar
"Yeah, Apatow, and he [Adam Sandler] has a very good role there, you can even tell the difference between him and that Seth Rogen who is like, a loser of an actor, *beep* it, he always plays Parkinsons, his head is always shaking - you see exactly what someone can or cannot do." - Vitez - DirectorMiroslav MomcilovicStarsEmir HadzihafizbegovicRadoslav 'Rale' MilenkovicNatasa NinkovicAfter a musician commits suicide, his Webcam records the discovery of his dead body by his eccentric neighbors.I wanted to completely ignore this and skip it, but since we were acknowledged to pay attention to one Croatian trash web portal on which it is relentlessly advertised and we're told not to miss it by any chance, that it is again the best film of the year... I decided it should be mentioned. - Vitez
"Squish it against the boardwalk with pleasure." - Sedlar
"We waited on this for so long and never even new it." - Vitez
"It's an anti-action film. I like these tag-lines." - Sedlar
"First of all, what annoys the *beep* out of me, is that if identical film was made in Croatia with identical acting, with Emir Hadžihafizbegović playing the leading role, thirty percent less people would watch it than they're going to watch now, because it's a Serbian film, and we're being optimistic here, and it would be eighty percent less media covering than it has now, being a Serbian film." - Vitez
[After seeing a fragment of a trailer]:
We laugh not because it's funny or witty, but because we're embarrassed, when I watch it, first thing that comes to my mind, we discussed it earlier, is 'Večernja škola' [TV show] in it's worst moments." - Sedlar
"[citing the film character Aca]: 'In a sudden twitch, a sudden twitch, it was a sudden twitch...', seconds are wasted here, they're buying time so a feature film could be made out of a material not sufficient for a feature film. The plot of this film is that, if I'm not mistaken, Nikola Kojo kills himself in front of his web camera at the beginning of the film, falls under the camera, then neighbors enter his house with some other people, not knowing the camera is still on, it's a twist for them because the camera is on, so they show who they really are, and what would they be like, than like people from Balkans. This proud love for the Balkans is always pushed forward, for *beep*'s sake, *beep* your Balkans. It's like you're bragging about you *beep* your pants. 'I'm from Balkans.', for *beep*'s sake. 'I'm so proud of my Balkans.', *beep* Balkans. - Vitez
"That's something that I think is going to be *beep* up in this film, what repels me from this film is this... I see it's being forced, this poetic Balkans, this wounded continent, with people bigger than life, but the circumstances are such..." - Sedlar
"[ironic] Come my friend, we are in the Balkans... Like a poem." - Vitez
"[Making fun of the trailer after seeing another fragment] This is the unrepeatable Serbian humor, *beep* it, you know. This is fascinating, you know, people admire the fact that people in Serbian films speak as they do in real life. Look, folks, in Serbian films they do not speak as they do in real life, they speak as you imagine they would speak in real life. - Vitez
"It's imposed exotics that you accept." - Sedlar
[Watching the trailer] "This trailer lasts forever, too." - Vitez
"After three seconds my brain wandered off completely, I began thinking about my bills that are due. No, for real, I was blocked the last few seconds." - Sedlar
[Watching some more] "Watch this... He farted." - Vitez
"You have to edit 'Terrance and Phillip' here." - Sedlar
"Now, he farted in the scene - film that will leave you breathless, then in the trailer he farts and the other guy says: 'Vesko, what have you done, Vesko?' I can hear barks of laughter in my ears..." - Vitez
"And then 'until tears' appears. First he farts, then it leaves you breatless, and the 'until tears', get it?" - Sedlar
"Somebody spent weeks thinking up this deep irony." - Vitez & Sedlar
"We must admit this trailer caused our computer to break down. It got to the edge and every bad sector. We had "the disc is to slow" error, "I'm going to hang myself (laugh)" - Sedlar
"A funeral of the Balkans humor." - Sedlar
"You can't even make fun of it, it will be successful in theaters, more or less, people will laugh, everyone will say..." - Vitez
"Something else about this film, it's this cheap humor, it's trying to be high-concept, little camera is on, it's, like, found footage, meta-..." - Vitez
"I imagined it as a real high-concept that is modern and, like, current, so to speak." - Sedlar
"This is the idea for a short film, being overly stretched to a feature film so it can be shown in theaters." - Vitez
"A film like this could be prolonged with one scene and *beep* great actors, and if David Mamet in his glory days wrote it, to make a reference. Than you could watch it, because in every other dialogue you would get something, like, that would *beep* with your head, but this... I see there is going to be time buying and budget cuts." - Sedlar
"I'm not normally keen of Serbian cinematography and can easily say I will skip this." - Vitez
"Me too." - Sedlar - DirectorSrdjan DragojevicStarsNikola KojoMilos SamolovHristina PopovicA homophobic Serbian gangster is forced to make a deal with wedding planner gay activist, to assemble a team which will protect the upcoming Pride Parade in Belgrade, and in exchange his fiancée can get her dream wedding."Have you seen the trailer for the renowned 'The Parade', lasting over four minutes?" - Vitez
"I have, yeah." - Sedlar
"They show absolutely the whole film." - Vitez
"It's long as an average cartoon." - Sedlar
"Yeah, you can see a good Tom and Jerry short during that time." - Sedlar - CreatorTonci KozulZoran LazicStarsStojan MatavuljRobert UgrinaNenad CvetkoTwo bumbling police detectives operate (often very miserably) in a wacky village called Svetkovina."I have to make a little auto-reference - I made this show 'Zakon!' ['Law'] and there was an episode where we made fun of [Zdravko] Mamić, of sports rhetoric and clique. The joke was about darts, like Dinamo [Zagreb], but with darts, never mind, but at one point after we made this episode Mamić had another press conference, another outburst, and he said the exact same things we put in his lines of the show. I went to my friend's place and showed him the clip where Mamić speaks in our show two years before the day he spoke at the conference. My friend watched it, he found it funny and his acquaintance was around who didn't see what was going on on the screen, he just heard it and he thought it was funny. When it ended the guy who didn't see what was going on said: 'Oh, what was that, it was great, did Serbians make it or something?' Well, *beep* it..." - Vitez
- DirectorJoel SchumacherStarsColin FarrellKiefer SutherlandForest WhitakerPublicist Stuart Shepard finds himself trapped in a phone booth, pinned down by an extortionist's sniper rifle. Unable to leave or receive outside help, Stuart's negotiation with the caller leads to a jaw-dropping climax."You know, his whole life Hitchcock wanted to make a film set completely in one telephone booth, actually Schumacher did it in 'Phone Booth' afterwards... almost." - Sedlar

- DirectorSidney LumetStarsHenry FondaLee J. CobbMartin BalsamThe jury in a New York City murder trial is frustrated by a single member whose skeptical caution forces them to more carefully consider the evidence before jumping to a hasty verdict."One of the better examples of one-room films is definitely '12 Angry Men', an excellent film." - Sedlar
- DirectorJuan SolanasStarsJim SturgessKirsten DunstTimothy SpallAdam and Eden fell in love as teens despite the fact that they live on twinned worlds with gravities that pull in opposite directions. Ten years after a forced separation, Adam sets out on a dangerous quest to reconnect with his love."I would translate it as 'Pa po lojtrici gor, pa po lojtrici dol' [a Kajkavian folk song from Croatian Zagorje]" - Vitez
"I would translate it as 'Upside Down Syndrome'" - Sedlar
"It is a complete physical nonsense, but I wouldn't mind that. We can see it is a film that get's it on with visual effects, we have these two worlds, one stands above the other, it's a little allegory and that could be great, BUT there is one pathetic love story inserted in all this." - Vitez
"This is what... I'm a sucker for concept films like this one, I like these strange... I like those films that have this twist, like, the more *beep* up..." - Sedlar
"Especially if they are written by Charlie Kauffman." - Vitez
"That's what I wanted to say! For example, if this was done by Charlie Kauffman I know I would be met with something... What I have in mind is completely different from what that guy would've written. But, what you said, and the trailer actually told us half of the film, I don't know... Even this description - you've seen some scenes, you know how it will end..." - Sedlar
"I mean, it looks really sensational and it's in 3-D, if 3-D wouldn't exist, this film would never be shot. The director is some guy who is an Argentinian Frenchman, used to be a director of photography so he obviously, you know, I did some research... He has this trait for a nice little picture" - Vitez
"We have this love that is impossible, but in the end obviously realized, love conquers all, that's what Diana Čuljak and Vladimir Šelbaj obviously thought, but in real life it's not always like that, as we see." - Vitez
"What you said, this love aspect seems so shoddy, it reminds me so much of some cheap philosophy that you could randomly insert letters in a crossword and get richer and meaningful sentences. People who use Facebook have one friend who spams their wall with Internet motivation posters: 'get love', 'everything is good', 'whatever the *beep*'... 'Gravity can't keep you apart'. That would be a good tagline - for a bra. Gravity can't harm us." - Sedlar
"The *beep* up thing is that this film could maybe come up good, but it tells us so much that it won't, that it will use the most pathetic storyline." - Vitez
"Producers are sometimes known to *beep* up the trailers (...) so I allow the possibility that maybe this could..." - Sedlar
"That it could be 'Dark City' (1998)! It looks a bit like 'Dark City'" - Vitez
"The reason I think the film is not going to be as good is because it's currently popular to make these 'forbidden love' topics with this shallow metaphor - a little girl and a vampire, a girl and a zombie, and I ask myself what's next, you know, who could they..." - Sedlar
"You know what else scares me about this film? The fact that it was first released here [in Croatia] and it's only now being released in the US. We took it in advance. I always have the feeling we're an African village for the pharmacy industry drug experiments [laugh], they drop something on us, our market." - Vitez
"They see what passes, note down the reactions and they still have time to re-edit the film a little, in a week." - Sedlar
"I think i saw on IMDb that it was released in 2012 somewhere... It says '2012' in brackets, now I'm not sure... That can always be a sign, that even the people who invested money in a film don't have faith in it, you know, and now they wait - lets push it through when there are no big hits, get what we can out of it, first in the Third World, let's see who survives in Croatia, and after that..." - Sedlar
"One fifth [of suggestions] tells us it's gonna be good and four fifths tell us it's *beep* - Sedlar
"This is already in our [Croatian] cinemas, Americans - you'll be able to watch it next week." - Vitez - DirectorJan de BontStarsKeanu ReevesDennis HopperSandra BullockA young police officer must prevent a bomb exploding aboard a city bus by keeping its speed above 50 mph."Wait, wait, who else was director of photography and things didn't turn out well, Jan.. Jan de Bont?"- Sedlar
"Yeah, *beep* it, but they totally failed with him. That 'Speed' and everything else... 'Speed' was already bad." - Vitez
"Well, 'Speed' was all right, but the later stuff was a disaster." - Sedlar - DirectorJan de BontStarsLiam NeesonCatherine Zeta-JonesOwen WilsonDr Marrow enlists Theo, Luke and Nell for a study of sleep disorders at the Hill House. "Oh, yeah, one of the best films of a kind." -Sedlar
"The film with, like, a love theme but a little bit SF, high concept storyline of a kind, shouldn't be discarded in advance." - Vitez
"I'll just add a note - I've seen this film at Sarajevo Film Festival, the 'Eternal Sunshine', and it was the sixth film I've seen that day, it began at 2 a.m.. So, imagine that, a sixth film at 2 a.m., it lasted until 4 a.m., dead and chewed, and if it would've been anything else I would've quit after half an hour but this had me... It's such a big film that I, like, really pushed through... An example of a very, very good romance film." - Sedlar
[people who liked 'Upside Down' (2013) should also like this to consider the film good]
"You could use the machine from 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' to forget some of the films you've seen so we can keep up with our concept. [laugh]" - Vitez - DirectorDavid FincherStarsBrad PittEdward NortonMeat LoafAn insomniac office worker and a devil-may-care soap maker form an underground fight club that evolves into much more."Producers are known to sometimes *beep* up the trailers, 'Fight Club' repelled me from the theaters in the same manner - it had a trailer that seemed it's gonna be a hardcore imbecility, a typical, like, underground fighting film, but in the end we got something completely, well..." - Sedlar
"I have my own beef with this film. In fact, I read it earlier. When I heard Fincher is about to do it, I stumbled upon that book by Palahniuk, I read it and it totally delighted me, I could hardly wait for the film, so what I gained with this film was actually..." - Vitez
"But you allow that if you haven't read a book, it would probably..." - Sedlar
"I allow that it would, like... Although I have my reserves here, too, you know, because they speak some lines too explicitly, that are, in my opinion, good to read, but they don't sound good, they are a little too didactic. The end is changed, that I didn't like at all..." - Vitez
"Ok, it was more of an example of something, like, when you watch a trailer and you have a feeling that you'll be met with something completely different.
