1800 actors or not who appeared in 'The young and the restless'
Hi! Thank you for your interest in my work. I decided to make that post about Y&R to celebrate their 40th anniversary. Through a deep research I made this list containing 1,800 names of actors and what were their characters. This list contains almost 1800 people who appeared in soap-opera 'The young and the restless': actors (a recurring role or as guest star), non-actors that played themselves, twin children and so on.
I will put another 200 names these days. You can read the list my list here http://supermarketuldefilme.blogspot.ro/2013/03/actors-who-played-in-the-young-and-the-restless.html. Thank you!

New Orleans-born Aaron Neville started singing in a group called The Hawkettes, in which his brother Art Neville also sang. He had some minor hits over the years, mostly regional, but finally hit the big time in 1966 with the delicate "Tell It Like It Is". For a variety of reasons--including the collapse of his record company--he wasn't able to capitalize on that record's success. In 1978 he, his brothers Art, Cyril Neville and Charles Neville formed what eventually became known as The Neville Brothers, although he also continued his career as a solo artist. In 1989 he hit the charts big-time again in a duet with Linda Ronstadt called "Don't Know Much". Lately he has been issuing gospel albums.Role: himself

Sleek and striking Abby Dalton became a very familiar perky and sexy presence in 1960s TV households. Known not only for her award-worthy acting on TV comedy, she became an avid game-show panelist and appeared on a slew of TV's more popular programs. It might come as a surprise to some that she honed her wholesome sitcom personality only after apprenticing in Roger Corman cheap-jack cult movies -- sometimes as a juvenile delinquent. She was born Gladys Marlene Wasden on August 15, 1932 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and started working in the entertainment field as a teen magazine cover model, also appearing at times on record album jackets. An acting company member for writer/producer Roger Corman beginning in 1957, Abby made her dubious debut in the low-grade beatnik film, Rock All Night (1957), in which she and others are trapped and held hostage in a bar by a pair of killers. Corman continued to use her in his films, some with and some without billing, including Teenage Doll (1957), Carnival Rock (1957), Stakeout on Dope Street (1958), and the absurdly-titled The Saga of the Viking Women and Their Voyage to the Waters of the Great Sea Serpent (1957), in which she played Desir, a stalwart leader of Nordic women in search for men, after presumably losing their own at sea. Outside the Corman fold, she appeared in the equally low-budgeted and exploitable Cole Younger, Gunfighter (1958) and Girls on the Loose (1958). The blonde, toothy beauty fared much better on TV starting in the late 1950s, popping up on several TV's best known westerns (Have Gun - Will Travel (1957), Rawhide (1959), Maverick (1957), The Rifleman (1958), Sugarfoot (1957)). She eventually earned a steady role on Jackie Cooper's Hennesey (1959) series and both actors received Emmy nominations for their roles -- she playing his girlfriend. The TV couple "married" just before the demise of the sitcom in 1962. A higher degree of visibility was achieved when Abby won the role of Joey Bishop's pert-looking wife on The Joey Bishop Show (1961). She gave birth to a TV baby in 1963 (played by her real-life infant son, Matthew David Smith). Her daughter, Kathleen Kinmont, also appeared on the program. Following the end of its four-season run, Abby engaged more fans to her corner by appearing regularly on the game show circuit. She showed off a delightfully off-the-cuff humor and sexy edge as a mainstay panelist, alongside Cliff Arquette, Wally Cox, and Rose Marie, on The Hollywood Squares (Daytime) (1965) and was located in the lower middle square for about four seasons before leaving her then-permanent post in 1970. During that time, she also played the "straight woman" in a number of sketch sequences for Jonathan Winters on his show, playing Margaret, his wife. The series, however, was rather short-lived (1967-1969). The only film she made during the 1960s was as "Calamity Jane" opposite Don Murray's Wild Bill Hickok and Guy Stockwell's Buffalo Bill Cody in a lackluster remake of the Gary Cooper starrer, The Plainsman (1966). For the most part, she focused on TV. Abby continued to be seen here and there throughout the 1970s. She might have enjoyed a major career boost as Hal Linden wife, Elizabeth, in the pilot of sitcom favorite Barney Miller (1975) had she stayed with it, but she was replaced by Barbara Barrie, when the show was picked up for its first season. Abby became part of the original cast of Falcon Crest (1981), a prime-time soap. As winery heiress Julia Cumson, Jane Wyman's daughter and Lorenzo Lamas' mother, she eventually shows her true colors as a murderous schemer. Coincidentally, Abby's daughter, actress Kathleen Kinmont, was later married for a time to "Falcon Crest" star Lorenzo Lamas. After leaving the show, she was seen only sporadically on TV and in films, including a short stint on a daytime soap. Her work continued until 1999, though she remained active in volunteer work. Twice married, her second to Jack Smith in 1960, produced three children, including daughter/actress Kathleen and son Matthew David. Her first marriage to Joe Mondragon ended in divorce in 1959.Role: Lydia Summers

An accomplished actor, singer and songwriter, Adrienne Frantz made a name for herself on television playing the character of Amber Moore on two CBS daytime dramas throughout the 1990s and 2000s. An outgoing only child, by age three Adrienne Danielle Frantz was holding private dance recitals in her hometown of Mount Clemens, Michigan. In spite of a busy schedule of dance, voice and theater classes, and a move to New Jersey . Frantz managed to graduate from Shawnee high school in Medford, N.J., at age eighteen and promptly packed her bags and headed off to New York City in search of her dreams - and never looked back. While enrolled in her freshman year at Marymount College in New York City, Frantz won the role of Tiffany Thorne on Aaron Spelling's new NBC soap-opera Sunset Beach (1997) and moved to Los Angeles. Within a few months she jumped ship from a struggling to join one of the most-watched shows around the globe: producer/writer Bradley Bell hired her for the plum part of the scheming, yet vulnerable, Amber Moore on The Bold and the Beautiful (1987). Debuting as a supporting character alongside villainess Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) in July 1997 Amber was soon linked to the mighty Forrester fashion dynasty and kicked off the next generation teen set in 1998. Eventually, family members of Amber were introduced and the love story of Amber and Rick Forrester (played by Jacob Young and later Justin Torkildsen) was a tent pole of the show in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2003, for a short while Frantz was pulling double duty when the part of Amber's twin sister April was created. Frantz was awarded with an Emmy as 'Outstanding Younger Actress' in 2001 (with additional nominations in 2000 and 2003). In 2005 she opted on leaving the show, but the character of Amber didn't disappear for too long. In late 2006 Amber Moore returned - but this time around on The Young and the Restless (1973) where head-writer Lynn Marie Latham was a self-proclaimed fan of the actress. Akin to her debut on The Bold And The Beautiful ten years earlier, Amber was again quickly linked to the important players in Genoa City. She stayed with the show until May 2010 before returning to B&B some weeks later. Frantz second run in fictional Los Angeles started off strong but then fizzled. So in 2012, Frantz opted on leaving The Bold And The Beautiful to start a new chapter in her life: attending classes to become a stand-up-comedian. Since the age of 16, Frantz has been belting out her own self-written tunes. A music executive noticed her talents at a charity event and quickly enlisted her demo tape to A&R executives at several major record labels. Her efforts resulted in "Best Female Vocalist" honors for 1997 at the Los Angeles International Music Awards. Several B&B episodes have showcased Frantz's original songs, and she was tapped to co-write and perform the title song on the film Jimmy Zip (1996). In addition to her soap roles, Frantz also did voice-work on The Wild Thornberrys (1998) and starred in Speedway Junky (1999) - Gus Van Sant's dark tale of runaway kids living on the streets of Las Vegas - with Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Tiffani Thiessen. For many years, Frantz has been staunch supporter of various animal and health welfare organizations. In her free time, Frantz enjoys writing poetry, composing music, attending concerts, skiing, playing softball, and relaxing at home with her pets. Dating Goo Goo Dolls frontman Johnny Rzeznik in the early 2000s, breaking it off in 2005, Frantz has been married to actor Scott Bailey since 2011 and the couple welcomed their first child in December 2015.Role: Ambrosia 'Amber' Moore Forrester Ashby Romalotti

Award-winning veteran actor/writer/producer Tony Winters career has spanned decades with his work on stage, screen, and television. Perhaps best known to film audiences as the morally bankrupt Wes Martin of National Champions. Others will recall him as Clive, proprietor of the High Yellow Restaurant, on OWN's critically acclaimed Queen Sugar or for his guest starring turn as Mayor Wilkins in the Emmy nominated episode of HBO's Silicon Valley entitled Initial Coin Offering. Still gamers will also recognize him as the tough-as-nails Assistant Coach from the best selling video game's NBA2K15 and NBA2K16. However, his distinguished career began long before the explosion of streaming TV services and the advent of electronic gaming.
After graduation from Detroit's Redford High School, the third of John Clarence and Ann Verlene Winters five children, headed west to attend San Diego City College and later the University of California San Diego. It was there he was bitten by the acting bug and began his theatrical training in earnest. He was first cast in a supporting role in Little Murders and later in the lead role of Axel in Woody Allen's Don't Drink The Water. But college theater was not enough for the eager thespian, so he looked beyond City's small campus and found a thriving African American theater scene. At just 19 he was cast as 30-something Brick in the first all-black production of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and received rave reviews. He went on to tackle a succession of pivotal roles; Lou in Spell #7, Prince in Moon On A Rainbow Shawl and Homer in The Lilies Of The Field. He even appeared in the musicals Guys And Dolls and Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope.
In an effort to expand his career into film and television he moved north to Hollywood. Having earned a coveted SAG card with a supporting part in the prison drama Penitentiary III his career was off and running. The recurring roles of Anthony on the daytime's Days Of Our Lives and his breakthrough turn as Ossie Dunbar M.E. on NBC's long running Hunter soon followed. In the years subsequent, Winters has evolved into one of Tinseltown's busiest talents and boasts of having worked with two Academy Award winning directors, Phil Alden Robinson and Mike Nichols, and of sharing the screen with his idol Sidney Poitier. In addition to his work in nearly 100 television shows and movies, he has also acted in scores of television commercials and modeled in print advertising.
Never one to rest on his laurels, he began writing and producing his original screenplays and became a pioneer in the field of digital filmmaking. He wrote, produced and starred in the films Retiring Tatiana (2000) and Section 8 (2006), winners of the Audience Favorite Award at The Pan African Film & Arts Festival 2000 and Best Feature Film at the Arizona Black Film Showcase 2006, respectively. Throughout it all, he has never veered too far from his theatrical roots and has remained an active player on the stage. He most notably portrayed Stan in Ken Davis' critically acclaimed South of Where We Live, Joe in his self-penned, self-produced, stage production of Section 8 which garnered 3 NAACP Theater Awards nominations in 2004. His last theatrical foray was as The Storyteller in his solo show The Devil and Billy Markham by Shel Silverstein which was nominated for "Best One Person Show" at the 2016 NAACP Theater Awards.Role: reporter 1988, 1993
