DVD Season 1
When this show started in late 1977, I wasn't really into TV at this point in my life. I was living in San Antonio, TX at the time with Laura and we spent the majority of our time working and going to the movies. Actually, I've never seen a single episode of this show. I'm looking forward to watching more TV shows and this one is just the beginning. - DirectorKenneth JohnsonStarsBill BixbySusan SullivanJack ColvinA troubled scientist's accidental overexposure to gamma radiation curses him with the tendency to change into a bestial green brute under extreme emotional stress.Season 1, Episode 1 - 11/22/2013
In this pilot/series premiere, Dr. David Banner is searching for the answers to what gives people their super human strength in a crisis situation. It begins with the Dr. having a nightmare about the death of his wife in a tragic car accident. He can't understand why some people are able to save their loved ones and why he wasn't able to save his wife. Susan Sullivan (very attractive in those hip-hugger jeans) is his research partner. They both love each other but, neither one admits it until it's too late. In hommage to the 1931 version of 'Frankenstein' the Hulk approaches a small girl by the lakeside with different results. The show ends with the supposed death of Dr. David Banner beginning his journey searching for the cure to his condition. - DirectorAlan J. LeviStarsBill BixbyJack ColvinLou FerrignoDavid meets a young woman who can't walk. He gets work on her family's ranch and discovers her doctor is slowly poisoning her. After he reports his suspicions to the girl's mother he finds himself the target of a vicious manhunt.Season 1, Episode 2 - 11/23/2013
In the 70's a lot of TV shows had "guest stars". Movie stars popped up regularly on TV shows all the time. In this episode Dr. David Banner is on his way to a hospital with a new piece of radiology equipment, hopefully to cure himself. He comes across Julie, an heiress to a family fortune who is slowly being poisoned to death by her evil stepmother and doctor. The Hulk saves her by kidnapping her and escaping across swampy terrain. In a nod to 'The Bride of Frankenstein' the Hulk meets an old hermit living in the woods. Guest star William Daniels plays the murdering doctor. Best Hulk Out: During the escape, the Hulk, the girl and the old hermit are in swamp water when they encounter a bear. The Hulk battles the bear and tosses him across the bog. This scene was actually quite funny with it's bad special effects. - DirectorKenneth GilbertStarsBill BixbyJack ColvinLou FerrignoDavid 'Benson' is saved from a couple of muggers by a boxer nicknamed 'Rocky' and becomes his friend and corner-man. Unfortunately the young man suffers from high blood pressure and is being used to ferry drugs by an unscrupulous manager.Season 1, Episode 3 - 11/26/2013
Tonight's guest star, Martin Kove as Rocky. Somehow Dr. David Banner has made it clear across the U.S. to Delaware. He gets mugged and is rescued by Rocky, a boxer without boxing ability. He gets David a job helping out at the gym he trains in. Rocky is unknowingly being used as a courier transporting heroin for the gym owner. David finds this out and tries to help his new friend out of a bad situation. Best Hulk Out: Dr. David Banner is handcuffed and gagged in a cage above the boxing ring during a match between Rocky and another boxer. He leaps out of the cage and into the ring to rescue Rocky from being poisoned. - DirectorKenneth GilbertStarsBill BixbyJack ColvinLou FerrignoDavid 'Bradburn' is researching control methods for animal aggression with a female doctor at a zoo. She gets into trouble when new animals keep dying from a mysterious illness.Season 1, Episode 4 - 12/01/2013
It's amazing how Dr. David Banner gets around. Somehow, he's made it back to the west coast on foot and is now working at the Los Angeles Zoo as a groundskeepper. He's trying to get close to the pretty zoologist experimenting with animal behavior in regards to controlling their aggression. Several animals have died under her care and David pokes around to find out why. It seems that animals imported from S. Africa are carrying diamonds in a smuggling operation conducted by the zoo's head official. Best Hulk Out: Dr. David Banner is locked in a cage with a gorilla (a guy in one of those bad 50's gorilla suits) and they battle it out. The Hulk tosses the gorilla across the cage ending the brawl of the century. - 1978–198250mTV-PG6.9 (308)TV EpisodeDirectorLarry StewartStarsBill BixbyJack ColvinLou FerrignoDavid 'Blaine' takes a job as a valet to investigate the murder of a model that the Hulk is being blamed for. We get to see different accounts of the murder in flashback. But which one really happened?Season 1, Episode 5 - 12/01/2013
Tonight's guest star, Loni Anderson as a cosmetics model trained in the martial arts. In the previous episode Dr. David Banner left the zoo and for some unknown reason is walking around the residential streets of Bel Aire late one night when he hears a scream for help. By now, we've all learned that Dr. David Banner can't remember what he does when he's the Hulk. The screaming woman winds up dead and the Hulk is to blame. There are flashbacks told from different view points of the suspects involved. Dr. Banner gets hired as a valet to the cosmetics magnate who was invovled with the screaming woman. Who murdered the cosmetics model? Was it the Hulk? Or, was it the owner of the cosmetics company? Maybe it was the new up and coming model who wanted to be on top. Tune in to find out. Best Hulk Out: Dr. Banner is placed in a car at a salvage yard. The car is going through the car compactor when he Hulks out and staves off the car crusher. - DirectorAlan J. LeviStarsBill BixbyJack ColvinLou FerrignoDavid 'Blake' is working at an arcade in Times Square, where everybody pays off 'Uncle Jason'. David finds out two elderly men are planning to take matters into their own hands.Season 1, Episode 6 - 12/05/2013
Well Dr. David Banner has made it clear across the U.S. again to New York this time. This time we find him working in an arcade emptying the quarters from the pinball machines and involved with cute Pamela Susan Shoop (from 'Halloween II'). The man he's working for is being extorted protection money, along with other local business owners, from a local mobster. Dr. banner, being his nosey self, finds out that the mobster is involved in smuggling drugs and gathers evidence to help his boss out of a bad situation. Best Hulk Out: While stuck in traffic in the back seat of a cab and trying to make it to a parking garage to help his boss out, he gets frustrated and tears the door off of the cab and runs down 42nd street. There are some cool theater marquees showing some late 70's films, 'Coma', 'Saturday Night Fever', and 'The Boys in Company C'. Also shown is a huge poster of the '76 version of 'King Kong'. - DirectorSigmund Neufeld Jr.StarsBill BixbyJack ColvinLou FerrignoDavid 'Brown' is flying from San Francisco to Chicago only to find out some of the crew are plotting to steal the Egyptian artifacts on board.Season 1, Episode 7 - 12/13/2013
Take a healthy serving of 'Airport '75', add a dash of 'Airport '77' and mix rapidly with a mean green fighting machine and you get this episode of 'The Incredible Hulk'. Somehow, Dr. David Banner has made it back to the west coast, San Francisco this time. He catches a flight to Chicago to meet with a Dr. experimenting with gamma rays. The co-pilot and one of the stewardesses are ploting to steal some Egyptian artifacts and bail out leaving everyone on board doomed to a crash landing. Dr. Banner foils the plot and has to land the plane in order to save everyone. Brandon Cruz, Bill Bixby's co-star in "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" gets to help co-pilot the plane. Best Hulk Out: Dr. Banner doesn't have the strength to pull back on the controls, frustrated he turns green and strong enough to handle the plane. "Oh my God! The Hulk is flying the plane." There's quite a bit of footage of the plane flying over the Rocky Mountains from 'Airport '75'. - DirectorLarry StewartStarsBill BixbyJack ColvinLou FerrignoDavid is working as a card shill in Vegas when he learns his Casino owning boss is crooked. To complicate matters, the people holding the evidence are acquaintances of Jack McGee.Season 1, Episode 8 - 12/13/2013
After making an emergency landing in Denver, CO, Dr. David Banner has made it south to Las Vegas working in a casino. Bill Bixby was lucky enough to have an attractive co-star every week. This time he gets to play cards and eat lunch with Simone Griffith from 'Death Race 2000'. This episode is a bit vague in it's storytelling. A man and wife have evidence of some wrong doing on the casino owner where David Banner is employed. The evidence makes it's way into the hands of ace reporter Jack McGee. So far, this is the closest that Dr. Banner and Jack McGee have contact since the original pilot. Jack McGee, conveniently unconscience, and Dr. Banner are thrown into a hole (that mobsters are so fond of digging) in the Nevada desert. Best Hulk Out: While being buried alive in the hole, Dr. Banner hulks out saving himself and the reporter. Once out of the hole, Jack McGee questions the Hulk on his knowledge of Dr. David Banner. The Hulk, looking quite confused starts to change back and is shot in the arm just in the nick of time causing him to re-Hulk. - CreatorDavid LittMichael J. DVD Season 1
I love this show. I've probably seen every episode, just not in the order that they were originally televised. This should be fun watching this series in it's broadcast order. - DirectorPamela FrymanStarsKevin JamesLeah ReminiLisa RieffelDoug Heffernan gets a 70-inch TV to make his sport's basement dream complete, but the dream turns into a nightmare when Carrie's father moves into the basement.Season 1, Episode 1 - 12/15/2013
In this pilot episode we meet Doug (Kevin James) a delivery driver and his secretary wife Carrie. Carrie has just given Doug a brand new widescreen TV for his man cave and life is good but, that's about to change, and not for the better. Carrie's stepmother dies leaving her father all alone with her irresponsible sister. Carrie's father Arthur (Jerry Stiller) ends up burning down his house which puts the series into motion. Doug has to give up his man cave to make room for Arthur. Carrie's sexy sister moves in also causing Doug other types of problems. Best Bit: Doug is attempting to shave while Carrie's sister takes a shower. Second Best Bit: Doug and his friends, Deacon, Spencer and Richie attempt to watch a football game on the bed in Doug and Carrie's bedroom. - DirectorJohan RenckStarsAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesRick, Glenn, Daryl and T-Dog come across a group of seemingly hostile survivors whilst searching for Merle.
