- DirectorMatthijs van Heijningen Jr.StarsMary Elizabeth WinsteadJoel EdgertonUlrich ThomsenAt an Antarctica research site, the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson.January 1st 2014- Not abad remake by all means. Just ok, but still decent. The cast is solid, and I must say that there are some solid scares even if the character development is poor, and the film usually makes no sense at all.
- DirectorAdam McKayStarsWill FerrellMark WahlbergDerek JeterTwo mismatched New York City detectives seize an opportunity to step up like the city's top cops, whom they idolize, only things don't quite go as planned.January 1st 2014- A decent cast is put to waste by a mediocre script, and only a few decent laughs.

- DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleHeath LedgerAaron EckhartWhen the menace known as the Joker wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, Batman must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice.January 2nd 2014- Heath Ledger's Joker stole every scene he was in, and that made up for the unrealistic and somewhat confusing plot, and the disappointing final, all sandwiched together by a large unnecessary runtime.
- DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleTom HardyAnne HathawayEight years after the Joker's reign of chaos, Batman is coerced out of exile with the assistance of the mysterious Selina Kyle in order to defend Gotham City from the vicious guerrilla terrorist Bane.January 3rd 2014- The final finds a very weak villain (Played by the great Tom Hardy), who's presents in the film makes little sense, and again a film stuffed with way too many characters, and way too many sideplots. This Batman film couldn't save itself from falling, even if the visuals and action sequences were better then before.

They run away from camp and for three days learn more about each other than they've ever known before.January 5th 2014- A sweet, coming of age tale. What it misses, plot wise it makes up in charm.
- DirectorGabriela CowperthwaiteStarsTilikumDave DuffusSamantha BergA documentary following the controversial captivity of killer whales, and its dangers for both humans and whales.January 5th 2014- A great documentary, that really pushes it's message so hard, it really sticks in your brain, and makes an impact on you.
- DirectorWilliam FriedkinStarsTommy Lee JonesBenicio Del ToroConnie NielsenAn FBI deep-woods tracker attempts to capture a trained assassin who has made a sport of hunting humans.January 5th 2014- The plot is thin and somewhat confusing , as is the character development, and music, which all fail to lift this film featuring mediocre performances from Tommy Lee Jones, and Benedict Del Toro . But I must say the ending which included a fight scene between the leads, was pretty neat, and well choreographed.
- DirectorJim Field SmithStarsJennifer GarnerYara ShahidiTy BurrellIn Iowa, a girl in foster care discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman in their town's annual contest.January 5th 2014- Jennifer Gardner's character is just so annoying, and the dialogue is so annoying, and most of all the plot is so annoying. Everything in this film is annoying.
- DirectorShawn LevyStarsSteve MartinKevin KlineJean RenoBumbling Inspector Clouseau must solve the murder of a famous soccer coach and find out who stole the infamous Pink Panther diamond.January 5th 2014- The jokes mostly fall flat, and the plot is way to thin and unoriginal to make this film anything to talk about.

A smart popcorn film, with a brain
- DirectorTommy WirkolaStarsJeremy RennerGemma ArtertonPeter StormareBrother/sister duo Hansel and Gretel are professional witch-hunters who help innocent villagers. One day they stumble upon a case that could hold the key to their past.January 7th 2014- Not a good movie. Yet, I find it a guilty pleasure, full of fun, violence, blood, action and hot ladies, with nude and a CGI troll. It's basically a made-for-men film. And I like it.
- DirectorBenjamin EppsStarsKristin ChenowethMatthew ModineOlesya RulinWhen her family misses her jump roping competition, a 16-year-old girl and her siblings hold their parents hostage, hoping to correct their unsatisfying behavior.January 8th 2014- acting's good, but plot's draggy and never really reaches potential, acts as too much a kids film, rather then a darker movie, that it should be. Plus, it fails to come out funny at all.

The plots unique, the cast is great, the scripts great, and very thing is awesome, but characters never get as much character development as they should. But still overall an excellent film.
- DirectorJosh BooneStarsGreg KinnearJennifer ConnellyLily CollinsAn acclaimed writer, his ex-wife, and their teenaged children come to terms with the complexities of love in all its forms over the course of one tumultuous year.January 9th 2014- Cast is great, but the script is a mostly a failure of being anything we have yet to see before, but still a nice film altogether.
- DirectorJoseph RubenStarsMacaulay CulkinElijah WoodWendy CrewsonA young boy stays with his aunt and uncle and becomes friends with his cousin, a boy of the same age who shows increasing signs of violent and psychopathic behavior.January 10th 2014- the script pretty weak, and this could have been longer, but Maculrey Culkin gives a chilling performances and altogether the film gives us some decent thrills and scares, even if I felt there was potential for more.
- DirectorTim BurtonStarsJohnny DeppChristina RicciMiranda RichardsonIchabod Crane is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of three people; the culprit is legendary apparition The Headless Horseman.January 12th 2014- Johnny Depp is better then ever, but the lighting is bad, and the script laughable. Not t mention that the characters are thin, as is everything else. Nothing makes sense.

Unable to leave or receive outside help, Stuart's negotiation with the caller leads to a jaw-dropping climax.January 14th 2014- The script is bad, the movie poorly and cheaply made, this is a disaster.
- DirectorFranklin J. SchaffnerStarsCharlton HestonRoddy McDowallKim HunterAn astronaut crew crash-lands on a planet where highly intelligent non-human ape species are dominant and humans are enslaved.January 16th 2014- Script is overly cheesy, and the editing is poor (the dialogue doesn't match with the ape's talking), and the plot is non-existing. Nothing is good here.
