Bat-shows by The Measured Circle
This list is of the shows used to create the "Bat-actors by The Measured Circle" on IMDb.
Batman first appeared in the magical pop culture year of 1939 (May, 1939) in the comic book, Detective Comics #1.
In 1943 (four years later), the first movie adaptation, a serial, hit the screens. Starring Lewis Wilson as Batman, it introduced some important elements to the Batman mythos (including the "Bat's Cave", which would later appear in the comics).
In 1949, a new serial (Batman and Robin) with a new cast.
It was 1966 when a new feature was released, which was really connected to the TV series. The four villains matched the TV casting, with the exception of Lee Meriwether as Catworman.
1968 was the end of the Adam West series, but with it also came the first Saturday morning cartoon with Batman, The Batman/Superman Hour.
1989 brought Tim Burton's version, in what would now be called a reboot. Michael Keaton was Batman, and Jack Nicholson was the Joker.
1992 saw the return of the Keaton/Burton Batman to the big screen, with Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, and Danny DeVito as The Penguin. Also, especially significantly to this list, Batman: The Animated Series debuted. It used a lot of well-known actors as guest stars, typically using at least one actor for the first time in each episode.
