Ottoman Empire - transformed into a transcontinental empire after 1354 when the Ottomans crossed into Europe. The Ottomans ended the Byzantine Empire with the 1453 conquest of Constantinople (Istanbul) by Mehmed II, resulting in many scholars and artists fleeing to Italy. This helped to spark the European Renaissance.
Italy - Origin of the Renaissance period, in the late 14th century
England - The Elizabethan Period (1558-1603), which was part of the Tudor era (1485-1603) marked the height of the English Renaissance.
