Preacher - Season 1 Review

Season rating - 8-great Highlight episode - Sundowner MVP - Dominic Cooper

An inconsistent season that started with a lot of promise but on the whole lacked a clear sense of direction. Of course there was loads of crazy moments which were hit and miss for the most part, however, sequences like the Sundowner Motel and the whole Ratwater concept were executed very well. I didn't care for Tulip at all, and given she's a main character that's here to stay, I'm a little concerned, so some major tweaking of her characterization would go a long way. The pair of Angels and the Cowboy were standouts for sure, and Dominic Cooper was pretty good in the lead. The finale was a bit of a mess and was basically the show's way of hitting the reset button in a rather sloppily contrived way. Having said that there's a lot of promise moving forward.
