- DirectorJeff TurnerSue TurnerStarsJeff TurnerFrom PBS - For thousands of years, wolves hunted buffalo across the vast North American plains until the westward settlement of the continent saw the virtual extinction of these vast herds and their eternal predators, the wolves. However, this ancient relationship was not lost altogether, and continues uninterrupted in just one location - on the northern edge of the continent's central plains in a place called Wood Buffalo National Park. Today the descendants of those ancient buffalo and wolves still engage in epic life and death dramas across this northern land, as packs of wolves up to 30 strong hunt the largest land mammals on the continent. By getting to know the individual wolves in a specific pack, and following them as they hunt, we will get a sense of how these two animal species coexist in what seems like a forgotten corner of the world.
- StarsF. Murray AbrahamIn Yellow Stone National Park, grizzly bears and wolves share dominance as the region's top predators. - DirectorClemens SchenkStarsT. TravisIn 1973, with only 500 wolves left in the contiguous United States, The Grey Wolf was added to the endangered species act. Now, states are fighting to have the status removed, opening the door for hunters and ranchers to once again decimate the wolf population. This documentary is about the incredible journey of OR-7, a Grey Wolf which was collared in Oregon and eventually dispersed from his pack. A journey that tells the story not only of OR-7, but of the wolf as a species in America. It is a journey of survival. A journey of inspiration.

- DirectorElke DuerrIt's a story with many sub-plots because of the dynamic relationship of the wolf to the various communities who now share its habitat: the ranchers, the conservationists, the Native American cultures, and the other animals who depend upon its presence to maintain a healthy ecological system. Just as much as it's a film about wolves, it's also about the people of New Mexico and their stand in making this program a success or a failure. And ultimately it is about the vanishing wildness inside and outside of us.

Working closely with scientists, we deconstruct the genetic history of your favorite companion and explore how man has consistently re-engineered the dog to adapt to a changing world.
