- CreatorJac SchaefferStarsElizabeth OlsenPaul BettanyKathryn HahnBlends the style of classic sitcoms with the MCU, in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision - two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives - begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.By far the most imaginative entry in the MCU. Probably the most creative way of handling this storyline, while showing very meaningful character development. References are not just for the sake of references and keep you speculating throughout. Making you sob over the love of a robot and a witch is extraordinary.
- DirectorAnthony RussoJoe RussoStarsChris EvansSamuel L. JacksonScarlett JohanssonAs Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world, he teams up with a fellow Avenger and S.H.I.E.L.D agent, Black Widow, to battle a new threat from history: an assassin known as the Winter Soldier.Gorgeous storytelling and upredictable plot that made even one of the most boring characters in the MCU amazing. Best handling of Black Widow and although Falcon is inaccurate, he is very well-written. The only weakness is the sometimes too over-the-top fight choreography.
- DirectorAnthony RussoJoe RussoStarsRobert Downey Jr.Chris HemsworthMark RuffaloThe Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.Amazing gathering of all characters and one of the longest screentimes for a villain at the same time. Lack of character development is not an issue, as all the characters are already very well-developed. It is not a tremendous accomplishment for the MCU only but film history in general.
- DirectorSam RaimiStarsTobey MaguireKirsten DunstAlfred MolinaPeter Parker is beset with troubles in his failing personal life as he battles a former brilliant scientist named Otto Octavius.Slow-paced funny scenes, inner conflict, and amazing fight scenes against a well-written villain well executed in a single film. Raimi’s signature stands out.
- DirectorAnthony RussoJoe RussoStarsChris EvansRobert Downey Jr.Scarlett JohanssonPolitical involvement in the Avengers' affairs causes a rift between Captain America and Iron Man.Easy to empathise with both parties and motives. One of the best portrayals of characters' abilities. Great handling of all the characters, with Black Panther and Spider-Man better written than for their respective films.
- DirectorBob PersichettiPeter RamseyRodney RothmanStarsShameik MooreJake JohnsonHailee SteinfeldTeen Miles Morales becomes the Spider-Man of his universe and must join with five spider-powered individuals from other dimensions to stop a threat for all realities.Unique comic book-like style, great storytelling, and amazing use of a great number of superheroes and villains. Gets slow and then becomes absurd until the end, but breathtaking overall.
- DirectorJames GunnStarsChris PrattZoe SaldanaDave BautistaThe Guardians struggle to keep together as a team while dealing with their personal family issues, notably Star-Lord's encounter with his father, the ambitious celestial being Ego.Characters feel more relatable now and the music is even better if that is possible. Making Yondu's death the most impactful in the entire MCU is saying something.
- DirectorShane BlackStarsRobert Downey Jr.Guy PearceGwyneth PaltrowWhen Tony Stark's world is torn apart by a formidable terrorist called the Mandarin, he starts an odyssey of rebuilding and retribution.Such a moving film when you lack background knowledge. A brave plot with the decision on Mandarin to make things unpredictable. Although the inaccuracy and humour are sometimes off-putting; the character development, action, and soundtrack are so satisfactory.
- DirectorMatthew VaughnStarsJames McAvoyMichael FassbenderJennifer LawrenceIn the 1960s, superpowered humans Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr work together to find others like them, but Erik's vengeful pursuit of an ambitious mutant who ruined his life causes a schism to divide them.Best X-Men film with splendid performances from McAvoy and Fassbender. A great origin story with many new characters that work quite well.
- DirectorJoaquim Dos SantosKemp PowersJustin K. ThompsonStarsShameik MooreHailee SteinfeldBrian Tyree HenryMiles Morales catapults across the multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. When the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles must redefine what it means to be a hero.Breathtaking animation with incredible use of colours, great dialogue and music, very fun character diversity. However, the film dragged in the 2nd half, especially considering how it felt like a bridge between films and not particularly necessary on its own.
- DirectorAnthony RussoJoe RussoStarsRobert Downey Jr.Chris EvansMark RuffaloAfter the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble once more in order to reverse Thanos' actions and restore balance to the universe.I do not agree with everything happening in the film and there are many plot holes; however, it compensates by hitting many more right notes. No matter what, this is on another level. I neither believe any film has accomplished something this large-scale nor have I ever encountered myself or any audience get hyped and teary this aberrantly. This is how a series pays off, by making you eager to watch all 21 films end to end the moment you step out of the cinema.
- DirectorBryan SingerStarsPatrick StewartIan McKellenHugh JackmanThe X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.Great transitions between the future and the past. Although Mystique is one of my favourites, Jennifer Lawrence's fame modifying the entire plot despite logic keeps me annoyed throughout the film.
- DirectorJon WattsStarsTom HollandSamuel L. JacksonJake GyllenhaalFollowing the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.A very fun film overall without any major flaws. Although expected, the plot goes in the right directions. However, the intention to keep the scale small slightly exceeds the limit and I would have wished the illusion battle was at the very end instead or repeated, because that would not have lost its originality even if repeated a dozen times.
- DirectorSam RaimiStarsTobey MaguireKirsten DunstWillem DafoeAfter being bitten by a genetically-modified spider, a shy teenager gains spider-like abilities that he uses to fight injustice as a masked superhero and face a vengeful enemy.Very good adaptation of one of the most compelling and classic origin stories of all time, though the Green Goblin is a bit inaccurate.
- DirectorSam RaimiStarsTobey MaguireKirsten DunstTopher GraceA strange black entity from another world bonds with Peter Parker and causes inner turmoil as he contends with new villains, temptations, and revenge.Underrated. Sandman is handled quite well. The villains do not feel exhausting, but Venom is underused. Peter Parker IS cringeworthy but is supposed to. The only issue is that he acts out of character even before the black suit, making him unbelievably annoying for 140 minutes straight.
- DirectorRyan CooglerStarsLetitia WrightLupita Nyong'oDanai GuriraThe people of Wakanda fight to protect their home from intervening world powers as they mourn the death of King T'Challa.A celebration of blacks, Latinos, and empowered women without any purpose of woke exploitation. Definitely a decent adventure with another breathtaking soundtrack and a thrilling introduction to Namor. However, all scenes dwelled on longer than necessary; this could definitely have been a shorter film. Plus, probably because I had had higher expectations, I was let down by the slight lack of a main character, spirit, and that homecoming feeling of Wakanda.
- DirectorChloé ZhaoStarsGemma ChanRichard MaddenAngelina JolieThe saga of the Eternals, a race of immortal beings who lived on Earth and shaped its history and civilizations.Although it is undeniably unique and deeper than the average MCU film, the dialogue and direction remain shallow compared to the problems at hand they expect you to question. There are too many characters, all of which try to shine, resulting in none really doing so. The 157 minutes are not a handful; on the contrary, what is left in your mind in the end is how much more each character could have been explored.
- DirectorBryan SingerStarsPatrick StewartHugh JackmanHalle BerryWhen anti-mutant Colonel William Stryker kidnaps Professor X and attacks his school, the X-Men must ally with their archenemy Magneto to stop him.Complex and therefore sometimes confusing plot. A very important story arc that is well executed along with building up for the next film.
- CreatorDrew GoddardStarsCharlie CoxVincent D'OnofrioDeborah Ann WollA blind lawyer by day, vigilante by night. Matt Murdock fights the crime of New York as Daredevil. One of the deepest and most under-utilised Marvel characters as it emphasises fragile matters such as physical impairment, justice, and religion simultaneously, all of which the show juggles perfectly.
- DirectorJames GunnStarsChris PrattChukwudi IwujiBradley CooperStill reeling from the loss of Gamora, Peter Quill rallies his team to defend the universe and one of their own - a mission that could mean the end of the Guardians if not successful.Truly emotional with once again fantastic soundtrack and character development. Perhaps the best single-shot fight sequence in the entire franchise.
- DirectorDavid LeitchStarsRyan ReynoldsJosh BrolinMorena BaccarinFoul-mouthed mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (a.k.a. Deadpool) assembles a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy with abilities from the brutal, time-traveling cyborg Cable.Very fun film with nice references at times and exhausting humour at others. Very clichéd and weak plot that even copies Days of Future Past, a film in the same franchise.
- DirectorJames GunnStarsChris PrattVin DieselBradley CooperA group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe.Somehow, a talking raccoon and a walking tree with three words work perfectly. A less believable story even than Thor, but it works much more smoothly. The only problem, especially in the final fight, is the clichéd laser fights and the slight lack of imagination.
- DirectorBryan SingerStarsPatrick StewartHugh JackmanIan McKellenIn a world where mutants (evolved super-powered humans) exist and are discriminated against, two groups form for an inevitable clash: the supremacist Brotherhood, and the pacifist X-Men.Solid adaptation for its time. Magneto is one of the most iconic villains in history.
- DirectorTim MillerStarsRyan ReynoldsMorena BaccarinT.J. MillerA wisecracking mercenary gets experimented on and becomes immortal yet hideously scarred, and sets out to track down the man who ruined his looks.Unique, but the humour is not for everyone, especially if you are not from the US and do not know all the mentioned people. Otherwise very low-quality plot, villains, and CGI that would not have survived if it was not for the humour.
- DirectorJoss WhedonStarsRobert Downey Jr.Chris EvansScarlett JohanssonEarth's mightiest heroes must come together and learn to fight as a team if they are going to stop the mischievous Loki and his alien army from enslaving humanity.Overrated. The gathering of everyone and action are breathtaking for the time, but the plot is too mainstream. Loki is definitely not as well-executed as in Thor. The pacing is unbelievably off, with both the slow parts and the battle taking way too long.
- DirectorJon WattsStarsTom HollandZendayaBenedict CumberbatchWith Spider-Man's identity now revealed, Peter asks Doctor Strange for help. When a spell goes wrong, dangerous foes from other worlds start to appear, forcing Peter to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.The scale of a film does not guarantee its success. Both the plot and dialogues are fan fiction quality. So many chances of possible interactions, fighting choreography, use of soundtrack… missed. The film has been so overhyped that not even the action sequences live up to the expectations. I was so underwhelmed that at times questioned whether I saw the same film as everyone else.
- DirectorMark Steven JohnsonStarsBen AffleckJennifer GarnerColin FarrellA man blinded by toxic waste which also enhanced his remaining senses fights crime as an acrobatic martial arts superhero.Underrated. The director's cut is a solid origin story with iconic music and praiseworthy choreography for its time. However, character development and relationships are rushed. Still one of the most relatable superheroes of Marvel.
- DirectorKenneth BranaghStarsChris HemsworthAnthony HopkinsNatalie PortmanThe powerful but arrogant god Thor is cast out of Asgard to live amongst humans in Midgard (Earth), where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.Underrated. Well-written origin story with accurate locations and costumes. Thor is on point, and outstanding performance by Hiddleston and Hopkins. Nice soundtrack. However, portrayal of the supportive cast is weak, CGI is not as convincing at times, and the quality of both the choreography and dialogue gets really low for some reason during the final fight.
- CreatorDoug MoenchStarsOscar IsaacEthan HawkeMay CalamawySteven Grant discovers he's been granted the powers of an Egyptian moon god. But he soon finds out that these newfound powers can be both a blessing and a curse to his troubled life.Fair and interesting representation of Egypt and multiple personality disorder. Although the plot may lose its appeal at certain points, others are quite unique and memorable.
- DirectorMarc WebbStarsAndrew GarfieldEmma StoneJamie FoxxWhen New York is put under siege by Oscorp, it is up to Spider-Man to save the city he swore to protect as well as his loved ones. The opening sequence is the best Spider-Man adaptation to date. One of the best chemistries on screen. A very tense and impactful death. Original use of dubstep. Wrong Electro. Too many villains. Floppy ending, which is the main reason the film is recalled as worse than it actually is.
- DirectorDestin Daniel CrettonStarsSimu LiuAwkwafinaTony Leung Chiu-waiShang-Chi, the master of weaponry-based Kung Fu, is forced to confront his past after being drawn into the Ten Rings organization. An entertaining origin story with the best fight choreography and most balanced humour Marvel has thus far offered. However; troubled pacing, ambiguous powers, and the ten rings or its organisation not being as menacing as described slightly puts one off at certain points.
- DirectorBrett RatnerStarsPatrick StewartHugh JackmanHalle BerryThe human government develops a cure for mutations, and Jean Grey becomes a darker uncontrollable persona called the Phoenix who allies with Magneto, causing escalation into an all-out battle for the X-Men.Underrated. The vaccine subplot is enjoyable, but the Phoenix subplot is misplaced and underused. Kills characters just for the sake of a finale.
- CreatorMichael WaldronStarsTom HiddlestonOwen WilsonSophia Di MartinoThe mercurial villain Loki resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”An imaginative plot that stands out in that it has a huge impact on the MCU unlike the other shows. However, the low budget is very evident, dialogues are flat, and magic is under-utilised as always with Loki. There are no morals and cunning left, but a disturbing romance that makes sense in that Loki would only fall in love with his own character, yet Sylvie does not resemble him in the slightest and the heteronormativity once again neutralises the LGBT+ reference.
- DirectorRyan CooglerStarsChadwick BosemanMichael B. JordanLupita Nyong'oT'Challa, heir to the hidden but advanced kingdom of Wakanda, must step forward to lead his people into a new future and must confront a challenger from his country's past.Overrated. Black Panther is more interesting in Civil War and is overshadowed by literally everyone in the film. The new suit does not make sense. Very simple and predictable plot. Wakanda's perspective did not make sense in the first place, which does not make Killmonger a good villain but Wakanda less relatable. The worst CGI in the MCU; however, by far the best soundtrack.
- DirectorPeyton ReedStarsPaul RuddMichael DouglasCorey StollArmed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, pull off a plan that will save the world.Well-executed despite the physics-defying superpowers and minimal action. Picking Scott Lang to be the Ant-Man was a poor choice. Such a unique final fight, yet the villain is very poorly written and is basically Obadiah Stane with the same powers as the superhero.
- DirectorJames MangoldStarsHugh JackmanPatrick StewartDafne KeenIn a future where mutants are nearly extinct, an elderly and weary Logan leads a quiet life. But when Laura, a mutant child pursued by scientists, comes to him for help, he must get her to safety.Overrated. Nice Western style, but the plot is too simple and from the 00's. Very clichéd superpowers and an identical villain. Because it is the only unpredictable aspect of the plot, death of Professor X makes a much larger impact than does Wolverine's.
- DirectorJon FavreauStarsRobert Downey Jr.Gwyneth PaltrowTerrence HowardAfter being held captive in an Afghan cave, billionaire engineer Tony Stark creates a unique weaponized suit of armor to fight evil.Overrated. Very solid origin story and great build-up for Obadiah Stane, but it is clichéd and boring when the villain gets the same powers as the hero. Moreover, he is one of the most forgettable in the MCU.
- DirectorJon WattsStarsTom HollandMichael KeatonRobert Downey Jr.Peter Parker balances his life as an ordinary high school student in Queens with his superhero alter-ego Spider-Man, and finds himself on the trail of a new menace prowling the skies of New York City.Best actor and worst screenwriting for Spider-Man. The suit becomes considerably repulsive with techs, which misses the entire point of Spider-Man. Overrated and extremely inaccurate villain but a nice motive and performance.
- DirectorJoss WhedonStarsRobert Downey Jr.Chris EvansMark RuffaloWhen Tony Stark and Bruce Banner try to jump-start a dormant peacekeeping program called Ultron, things go horribly wrong and it's up to Earth's mightiest heroes to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plan.Vision is OK, but Quicksilver is not well-introduced to make an impact and Scarlet Witch is just Jean Grey. Black Widow and Hulk are a horrible couple. Hawkeye's story is just to compel haters. Thor’s story feels irrelevant. The villain is too powerful and also incredibly weak, which makes the plot look floppy and absurd. Great influence on the MCU, but with lots of small problems all over the place.
- DirectorAlan TaylorStarsChris HemsworthNatalie PortmanTom HiddlestonWhen the Dark Elves attempt to plunge the universe into darkness, Thor must embark on a perilous and personal journey that will reunite him with doctor Jane Foster. The fantasy world is difficult to believe at times. One of the worst and underwritten villains in the MCU. A troublesome journey throughout that can be recalled as OK due to the ending.
- DirectorTim StoryStarsIoan GruffuddMichael ChiklisChris EvansA group of astronauts gain superpowers after a cosmic radiation exposure and must use them to oppose the plans of their enemy, Doctor Victor Von Doom.Works at times but nothing that stands out overall. A poor adaptation that would not make anyone a F4 fan.
- DirectorMarc WebbStarsAndrew GarfieldEmma StoneRhys IfansAfter Peter Parker is bitten by a genetically altered spider, he gains newfound, spider-like powers and ventures out to save the city from the machinations of a mysterious reptilian foe.No main problem but nothing that stands out either. Mostly because the Daily Bugle is missing, Spider-Man feels unpopular and weak. The least memorable Spider-Man film.
- DirectorPeyton ReedStarsPaul RuddEvangeline LillyMichael DouglasScott Lang and Hope Van Dyne are dragged into the Quantum Realm, along with Hope's parents and Scott's daughter Cassie. Together they must find a way to escape, but what secrets is Hope's mother hiding? And who is the mysterious Kang?Underrated. Yes, the film does stumble due to the traditional issue of an overpowered villain, with plot armour sometimes becoming too aberrant, but it is an overall fun ride with a decent introduction to Kant the Conqueror.
- DirectorTim StoryStarsIoan GruffuddJessica AlbaChris EvansThe Fantastic Four learn that they aren't the only super-powered beings in the universe when they square off against the powerful Silver Surfer and the planet-eating Galactus.Nothing too horrible but nothing that stands out either. A screenplay written around a very simple plot.
- DirectorJosh BooneStarsMaisie WilliamsAnya Taylor-JoyCharlie HeatonFive young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, fight to escape their past sins and save themselves.Underrated. Although unusual for a Marvel film, it functions well as a slow-paced thriller. However, the final fight is a bit clumsy and slightly kills the build-up.
- CreatorBisha K. AliStarsIman VellaniMatt LintzZenobia ShroffKamala, a superhero fan with an imagination--particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel--feels like she doesn't fit in at school and sometimes even at home, that is until she gets superpowers like the heroes she admires.
- DirectorJames MangoldStarsHugh JackmanWill Yun LeeTao OkamotoWolverine comes to Japan to meet an old friend whose life he saved years ago, and gets embroiled in a conspiracy involving yakuza and mutants.Quite original plot. Enjoyable but serious lack of well-known characters and references makes the film very forgettable.
- DirectorLouis LeterrierStarsEdward NortonLiv TylerTim RothBruce Banner, a scientist on the run from the U.S. Government, must find a cure for the monster he turns into whenever he loses his temper.Feels like this film belongs nowhere. Forgettable and forgotten by pretty much everyone. Simple plot. Unimaginative and boring fight scenes. How difficult can it be to understand he is bulletproof?
- StarsJeremy RennerHailee SteinfeldFlorence PughSeries based on the Marvel Comics superhero Hawkeye, centering on the adventures of Young Avenger, Kate Bishop, who took on the role after the original Avenger, Clint Barton. It starts as great Christmas fun with compelling plot, but the abundance of unnecessarily long filling dialogues and weak execution kill all the initial hype. I seriously had a difficult time understanding people’s motives and how some problems were as big as they were made out to be.
- DirectorMichael GiacchinoStarsGael García BernalLaura DonnellyHarriet Sansom HarrisFollows a lycanthrope superhero who fights evil using the abilities given to him by a curse brought on by his bloodline.Fun and original at first, meaningless after a certain while. We get a poor man’s Beast, for whom I can see no future within the bigger picture of the MCU. I really like Ted though.
- DirectorPeyton ReedStarsPaul RuddEvangeline LillyMichael PeñaAs Scott Lang balances being both a superhero and a father, Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past.An average Hollywood film just to have a fun time. Pretty much it. Repetitive and weak plot. Very simplistic and unsatisfying introduction of the Quantum Realm with inconsistencies. Too many Ant-Men and Wasps with personality traits not enough for even one.
- DirectorNia DaCostaStarsBrie LarsonTeyonah ParrisIman VellaniCarol Danvers gets her powers entangled with those of Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau, forcing them to work together to save the universe.A fun film with improvement of all three characters.
- DirectorGavin HoodStarsHugh JackmanLiev SchreiberRyan ReynoldsThe early years of James Logan, featuring his rivalry with his brother Victor Creed, his service in the special forces team Weapon X, and his experimentation into the metal-lined mutant Wolverine.A fine film if you do not know anything about Marvel. Deadpool, Gambit, and Blob are the most horribly wasted characters in the whole franchise.
- StarsJeffrey WrightTerri DouglasMatthew WoodExploring pivotal moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and turning them on their head, leading the audience into uncharted territory. The idea is without boundaries, but the execution is somewhat unsatisfying often with little imagination and very fast pacing. However, what makes it hardly appealing in the end is the plots being with neither meaning nor consequences within the bigger picture, even with the last episode.
- DirectorScott DerricksonStarsBenedict CumberbatchChiwetel EjioforRachel McAdamsWhile on a journey of physical and spiritual healing, a brilliant neurosurgeon is drawn into the world of the mystic arts.Very clichéd superhero origin story with practically the same personality as Tony Stark. Although the magic is supposed to be mind-blowing, it does not feel imaginative at all. Same uncreative effects over and over again, and it is still just a fistfight with sparkles in the end.
- CreatorJessica GaoStarsTatiana MaslanyGinger GonzagaMalia ArrayahJennifer Walters navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered Hulk.It is fun, but the editing, pacing, and humour in this are obviously not for me. The character feels really bland, but I hope to see more of her interacting with everyone else.
- DirectorSam RaimiStarsBenedict CumberbatchElizabeth OlsenChiwetel EjioforDoctor Strange teams up with a mysterious teenage girl who can travel across multiverses, to battle other-universe versions of himself which threaten to wipe out the multiverse. They seek help from the Scarlet Witch, Wong and others. So many MCU films have been deemed “out of the Marvel formula”, yet this one is definitely the one that feels most atypical, and that’s not in a good way. Everything built in WandaVision is now in ashes, spiced with 2 hours of nonsense with no imagination whatsoever and unexpected horror. A film this large-scale has never felt so unimportant.
- DirectorAnna BodenRyan FleckStarsBrie LarsonSamuel L. JacksonBen MendelsohnCarol Danvers becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. The film is fine in general except for the pacing that is sometimes off. However, Captain Marvel’s strength does not make you watch in awe but instead makes most threats meaningless and the film having no impact on the audience at all.
- DirectorCate ShortlandStarsScarlett JohanssonFlorence PughDavid HarbourNatasha Romanoff confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises.Unnecessary. Not only is the character dead, but no one really wondered about this part of her past. What made Natasha so impactful was the mystery of her past and how often she switched sides, the first ruined by and the second absent in this film, which makes it feel like we’re watching Scarlett Johansson in another role.
- DirectorJon FavreauStarsRobert Downey Jr.Mickey RourkeGwyneth PaltrowWith the world now aware of his identity as Iron Man, Tony Stark must contend with both his declining health and a vengeful mad man with ties to his father's legacy.Only serves as a mediocre introduction to Black Widow and War Machine. Otherwise pointless with almost no impact on the MCU. The palladium subplot is dumb and dull. Quite possibly the worst villain in the MCU in terms of all aspects imaginable.
- DirectorRuben FleischerStarsTom HardyMichelle WilliamsRiz AhmedA failed reporter is bonded to an alien entity, one of many symbiotes who have invaded Earth. But the being takes a liking to Earth and decides to protect it.The low quality is very evident and does not feel professional. Very solid start with a fine villain at first, which is later rushed like everything else. Quite shocking how everything goes downhill once Venom shows up.
- CreatorMalcolm SpellmanStarsAnthony MackieSebastian StanWyatt RussellFollowing the events of 'Avengers: Endgame,' Sam Wilson/Falcon and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities -- and their patience.Very uninteresting with troublesome pacing. The director clearly does not get these two fan favourite characters. The whole racism plot is very weakly handled with poor and too in-the-face dialogue. This is the 4th Captain America entry and it starts to seem as though there is no other subject but super soldier serums over and over again.
- DirectorJoe JohnstonStarsChris EvansHugo WeavingSamuel L. JacksonSteve Rogers, a rejected military soldier, transforms into Captain America after taking a dose of a "Super-Soldier serum". But being Captain America comes at a price as he attempts to take down a warmonger and a terrorist organization.Solid origin story for Captain America, yet he is nothing but unbelievably bland US propaganda to begin with.
- StarsVin DieselFred TatascioreBradley CooperA series of shorts featuring the seedling Groot along with several new and unusual characters.OK, it’s cute and enjoyable but not enough to oversee the milking of a merchandisable character. The Disneyification of Marvel has now come to a breaking point.
- DirectorStephen NorringtonStarsWesley SnipesStephen DorffKris KristoffersonA half-vampire, half-mortal man becomes a protector of the mortal race, while slaying evil vampires.Neither vampires nor Blade is imaginative, and the weak plot and Matrix-like nonsense visuals of 1998 do not help in the slightest.
- DirectorTaika WaititiStarsChris HemsworthTom HiddlestonCate BlanchettImprisoned on the planet Sakaar, Thor must race against time to return to Asgard and stop Ragnarök, the destruction of his world, at the hands of the powerful and ruthless villain Hela.Fan fiction quality. Literally a complete joke rather than a Marvel film. The most serious story arc shot as the most absurd comedy in the MCU. Funny suits Stark and Starlord, not a demigod witnessing his father and brother die, eye gouged out, and homeland demolished.
- DirectorBryan SingerStarsJames McAvoyMichael FassbenderJennifer LawrenceIn the 1980s the X-Men must defeat an ancient all-powerful mutant, En Sabah Nur, who intends to thrive through bringing destruction to the world.Fan fiction quality. Never a good idea to have an overpowered villain and even a worse idea to write a screenplay without knowing what to do with him in the end. Characters we already know with less personality and worse portrayal, no logic behind motives, bad CGI. Magneto's story is the only solid part of the film.
- DirectorMark Steven JohnsonStarsNicolas CageEva MendesSam ElliottWhen motorcycle rider Johnny Blaze sells his soul to the Devil to save his father's life, he is transformed into the Ghost Rider, the Devil's own bounty hunter, and is sent to hunt down sinners.Alright pace at times and nothing to be enthusiastic about overall. Quite bad acting. Extremely forgettable.
- DirectorDaniel EspinosaStarsJared LetoMatt SmithAdria ArjonaBiochemist Michael Morbius tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease, but he inadvertently infects himself with a form of vampirism instead. Not horrendous, the vampire theme is in fact less clichéd than I expected. Nevertheless outdated and banal with poor CGI, editing, and acting.
- DirectorSimon KinbergStarsJames McAvoyMichael FassbenderJennifer LawrenceJean Grey begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix, causing the X-Men to have to decide if her life is worth more than all of humanity.Nothing about this is original. Mutants are good; nope, they’re bad. We need Magneto; nope, he’s bad; wait, he’s OK. Jennifer Lawrence’s unwanted presence. You know something is wrong when scenes intended to give you goosebumps make you cringe and beg for it to end instead.
- DirectorAndy SerkisStarsTom HardyWoody HarrelsonMichelle WilliamsEddie Brock attempts to reignite his career by interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady, who becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage and escapes prison after a failed execution. The film is so short and fast-paced that there is no story or character development to be found. Carnage is who-knows-why just a bigger and stronger version of Venom, without any notable differences in agility, use of weapons, morals, etc. The main issue is that this desperately needed to be a horror film, yet all it is is a very forced comedy at best.
- DirectorRob BowmanStarsJennifer GarnerGoran VisnjicWill Yun LeeElektra the warrior survives a near-death experience, becomes an assassin-for-hire, and tries to protect her two latest targets, a single father and his young daughter, from a group of supernatural assassins.More of a random, unsatisfying Hollywood film with no point, which you could peek at while zapping at 2am. Does not justify or have anything to do with Elektra.
- DirectorTaika WaititiStarsChris HemsworthNatalie PortmanChristian BaleThor enlists the help of Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster to fight Gorr the God Butcher, who intends to make the gods extinct.I’ll just pretend this was some aimless, boring, impressively unfunny, stupid, horrible fan fiction I was misfortunate to come across.
- DirectorJames GunnStarsLuke KleinSean GunnMichael RookerStar-Lord, Drax, Rocket, Mantis, and Groot engage in some spirited shenanigans in an all-new original special created for Disney+.One question: What is this absurdity?
- DirectorJosh TrankStarsMiles TellerKate MaraMichael B. JordanFour young outsiders teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe which alters their physical form in shocking ways. The four must learn to harness their new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.Unbelievably poorly written. No hype, no build-up, amazingly absurd villain that takes 10 minutes to introduce and defeat.
