With over 100 film and television credits to his name, award-winning actor, Adrian Holmes, has become one to watch in the entertainment industry. He is best known for playing the patriarch of the Banks family, Philip Banks/Uncle Phil, in the acclaimed drama series, "BEL-AIR". The reimagining of the iconic 90s series, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Admiral Robert April in "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds". He is also known for his work on the Bravo television series "19-2", for which he won a Canadian Screen Award in 2017, in the Netflix vampire-drama series, "V Wars" and Captain Pike on the long running CW series, "Arrow."
On the film front, Holmes can be seen in the Universal Pictures' action-thriller "Skyscraper" alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and "Elysium" alongside Matt Damon.
In addition to working in front of the camera, Holmes received a producer credit, for co-producing, alongside Step by Step Productions, the docudrama "Barrow: Freedom Fighter", where he played the title role of Errol Barrow, Barbados' first Prime Minister. The film was very special to him, as it was shot in his homeland of Barbados.
Born in Wrexham, North Wales, with family from Barbados, Holmes grew up in and around Vancouver, British Columbia. The eldest of three boys, Holmes was a natural entertainer as a child. In junior high school, his drama class wrote a play for a local drama festival called, "The Challenge: An Environmental Happening" which was awarded Outstanding Junior Play, and Holmes awarded Outstanding Junior Actor. A defining moment for him which inspired him to pursue a career in acting.
He continued to perform in many stage productions throughout high school and college and studied his craft with many coaches including world-renowned coach Larry Moss.
When he isn't working, Holmes enjoys traveling with his wife actress Caroline Chikezie, and tries to get back to see his family in England and Barbados as much as possible. He is also always up for a good round of golf. Holmes splits his time between Vancouver and LA.- Colin Lawrence is a British-born Canadian actor known for his roles in film and television. Sidney Poitier's Half Black, half Cherokee Indian companion in the Made for TV Movie named Children of the Dust in 1995. Kwesi Ameyaw was born on 24 August 1975 in Kitchener, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He is an actor, known for Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004), Capote (2005) and Man of Steel (2013).- Sean Millington is a Canadian actor and former fullback in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played football while attending Carson Graham Secondary School beginning in 1984. He first played as an offensive lineman before later trying out for the position of running back. Millington later attended Simon Fraser University and afterwards tried out for the NFL, specifically for the New York Giants. Because experts felt he did not sufficient experience, Millington was encouraged to enter the Canadian Football League where through hard work, he could prove himself and gain experience. Millington was recruited by the Edmonton Eskimos and enjoyed a career in the CFL that lasted from 1990 to 2002. Other teams during his 12-year career on which Millington played for include the BC Lions (1991-1997), the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1998), the Edmonton Eskimos (1999) and again with the BC Lions (2000-2002). He retired after 2002 but later returned to the CFL in 2005. He joined the Toronto Argonauts who urgently needed a player with the ability to effectively block and run. Millington's comeback was ended by a ruptured Achilles heel and retired after October 22, 2005.
Millington also worked for the CFL as a member of the CBS broadcast network, a job he returned to after his second retirement.
With such a range of talent and screen personality, Millington embarked on an acting career as early as 1990, around the age of 22. He has since appeared in such notable films and television series including The 4400 (2004), Stargate SG-1 (1997), Are We There Yet? (2005), Supernatural (2005), Blade: The Series (2006), Smallville (2001), Eureka (2006), Stargate: Atlantis (2004), Flash Gordon: A Modern Space Opera (2007), Hell on Wheels (2011), The 100 (2014), iZombie (2015) and many more.
