- DirectorJim ReardonStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightThe Simpson family receives a severed monkey's paw which can grant wishes, Bart gains magical powers which he uses to turn Homer into a Jack-in-the-box, and Mr. Burns uses Homer's brain to create a robot. My absolute favorite THOH. What causes this one to squeak by THOH V as my favorite is the setting: it was (Halloween day thankfully,) 1991, The Simpsons' popularity was at an all-time high, the segments, particularly Bart's with that iconic scream, made (and still make) me laugh out loud and my older brother and sister were Bart and Lisa for Halloween (and as luck would have it, the same ages as the two of them), making it all the more special to me.
And in case you're wondering who I was that year, I was Paula Abdul. Don't ask. - DirectorJim ReardonStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightThe family's job at Mr. Burns' country estate goes awry when Homer goes mad; Homer's attempt to repair a toaster results in inadvertent time travel; The school staff turn cannibalistic.Another great episode, easily one of the best. It only ranks second though due to my memories tied to the number one spot and the absolute horror (but hilarity) of "Nightmare Cafeteria".
- DirectorCarlos BaezaStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightAn evil Krusty the Clown doll tries to kill Homer; Marge is captured by a giant ape who falls in love with her; Bart inadvertently raises the dead.

Then, Professor Frink's father is revived, only to kill people and steal their organs in Frinkenstein. Finally, Bart and Milhouse get a stop watch that can stop time in Stop the World, I Want To Goof Off.

- DirectorDavid SilvermanStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightAn android son replaces Bart; Homer and friends are the quarry in Mr. Burns' hunting tournament; a witch turns townsfolk into their Halloween costumes.
- DirectorMike B. AndersonMatthew SchofieldStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightLisa becomes livid with Miss Hoover, and in a series of homages to classic Hitchcock sets out for deadly revenge. Next, Krusty's latest fast-food sandwich transforms news anchor Kent Brockman into an enraged zombie and twenty-eight days later, cannibal zombies have overrun Springfield. In the final frightening fable, Homer accidentally falls through a trapdoor in Moe's tavern and impales himself on the pipes of Moe's microbrewery. Moe serves the barflies a glass of delicious beer flavored with Homer's blood and Homer, now half-man, half-brewing apparatus, returns for vengeance.
- DirectorMike B. AndersonBob AndersonStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightA Satanic board game causes other popular board games to come to life, Homer and Marge rescue a possible killer and let him on their boat, and a parody of "Twilight" where Lisa falls for a young vampire. Not a terrible episode, as I loved the "Tweenlight" segment and rank it the best one of the night, but "Master and Cadaver"? Trash. I know I'll be pilloried for saying this, but I don't care about Maggie Simpson. They try to make her into some kind of a badass, but she's so bland and useless. "Oh, get it? Her one joke is that she's a baby! Ha ha ha!" Either make her talk or reduce her screen time! I'm sick of her lack of character development.
- DirectorJim ReardonMatthew NastukStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightHomer must do one good deed to get into Heaven; Bart and Lisa encounter a witch in a gingerbread house; Super-intelligent dolphins strike back at humanity. Why is this ranked so low, you ask? Simple: that damn dolphin segment. I HATE that one! I know people go nuts for it, but I found it to be too cruel and unfunny, especially for the last segment of the episode. The other segments also were pretty cruel (as common for this era), but still had enjoyable moments.
- DirectorJim ReardonDavid SilvermanStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightHomer clones himself with a magic hammock; Zombie cowboys come back from the dead after Springfield bans guns; The Simpsons family take a vacation on an island where Dr. Hibbert can turn people into animals.
- DirectorMike B. AndersonMatthew FaughnanStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightThe 25th annual 'Simpsons' Halloween special includes an alternate dimension, a "Clockwork Orange"-style gang led by Moe and a visit from the Tracey Ullman-era Simpsons.
- DirectorJim ReardonDavid SilvermanStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightNed gains the power to foresee people's deaths; Maggie is shrunk inside a vitamin capsule and swallowed; Eliza Simpson and her sidekick hunt down a murderer.
- DirectorMike B. AndersonSteven Dean MooreStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightAfter killing Bart, Sideshow Bob doesn't know what to do with himself; Homer wakes up with short-term memory loss; Because of radiation, Lisa, Bart and Milhouse gain super-powers.
- DirectorMike B. AndersonSteven Dean MooreStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightThe children of Springfield fight to the death, Hunger Games style; Lisa's imaginary friend kills her real friends; Moe recruits Bart into his group of covert barfly agents.
- DirectorMike B. AndersonMatthew FaughnanStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightHomer takes a dangerous dive into an isolated canyon on Candy Peak, but when a crashing boulder traps his arm, he channels Aron Ralston to save himself. In "The Diving Bell and Butterball," the first of three hair-raising Halloween tales, a venomous spider bite leaves Homer paralyzed, but when Lisa discovers Homer's ability to communicate through natural gases, he is able to express his love for Marge. The killer spells continue in "Dial D for Diddly," when Ned Flanders, devout preacher by day, transforms into a cold-blooded vigilante by night. In the final terrifying tale, "In the Na'Vi," Bart and Milhouse are sent on a mission to obtain a sacred extract on a distant planet. They morph into the land's indigenous one-eyed avatars, but when Bart finds love and an eternal mate abroad, he is caught in planet warfare.
- DirectorChuck SheetzMark KirklandStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightThe eighteenth Simpsons Halloween Special features parodies of the movies "E.T." and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."
- DirectorMike B. AndersonSteven Dean MooreStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightA black hole threatens to swallow Springfield, Homer tries to find the source of paranormal activity, and a "Back to the Future" parody in which Bart keeps Marge from marrying Homer.
- DirectorMike B. AndersonStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightBart's Siamese twin swells in the attic; Lisa's science experiment creates a miniature universe of advanced civilization; aliens possess Clinton and Dole.
- DirectorJim ReardonStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightA gypsy puts a curse on Homer; The Simpsons' new automated house malfunctions and tries to kill Homer; Bart and Lisa attend a school for wizards.Ugh, what a washout. The first segment was, once again, way too mean-spirited (even for Homer) and the last segment was an uninspired and lazy parody of Harry Potter, which is not in any way helped by the writers ADMITTING that they had little knowledge of the franchise in the first place! Thank goodness for "House of Whacks" and Pierce Brosnan.
- DirectorDavid SilvermanMatthew FaughnanStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightA meteorite turns Homer into a rampaging blob with a voracious appetite; Bart brings a Golem to life; an alien invasion hoax turns real.Absolutely terrible. I didn't laugh once. You know you have a problem when a segment involving Homer eating everyone (including him own family) is the highlight of the night. Also, is it just me or does anything spoofing "The War of the Worlds" tend to suck? We have the last segment featuring a wasted plotline that surrounds the cool space aliens instead of just a cameo (and the equally wasted appearance of a great voice actor in Maurice LeMarche), the second WOTW film and that terrible episode of "Cold Case" (their 100th one overall, for some reason.)
