GOOSEBUMPS adaptation (2010s decade)
PLOT:
On the day of Halloween, a teenage boy moves into a small town in Toronto with his single mom for a recently offered job interview she decided to accept. When he goes to his new high school on the very first day, he befriends the strange but beautiful Hannah, who turns out to be the adopted daughter of the mysterious R.L. Stine, an author who created the beloved children-horror series, "Goosebumps".
He finds out Mr. Stine is not interested in him interacting with his daughter for personal reasons, but IS interested in him at the same time, due to his strange quirks that attract the attention of his other neighbors and fellow high school attendees, that he personally connects to. Unlike Brandon, instead of seeing good and evil, all he sees are "demons", which is why he keeps putting the creatures that have haunted him for all of his life into his books.
While searching inside Stine's "creative space", the basement, he finds a ghost by the name of "Mr. Shivers", a centuries-old demonic spirit that pocesses children who visit the haunted house as their shadows and beneath their quiet whispers. He's also the one who has frightened Stine the most to this day, which inspired him to write the latest yet still unfinished new book in the series.
Mr. Shivers threateningly persuades Brandon to do something, to which he franticly agrees to do, which results in Stine's creatures from the original books coming to life by releasing themselves out of their original manuscripts. When they finally come to life, they immediately start terrorizing their hometown.
Now, with the help of Stine, Sarah, his nerdy friend Gus, and high school bully Zack, they must find a way to put the monsters back to their rightful stories, and to stop Mr. Shivers from doing anymore damage.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
A zany and awkward author who created the 'Goosebumps' series.
For all of his life, he has been living inside his mansion for many years, with his housekeeper Mr. Jenkins taking his place whenever someone comes to visit him due to Stine's awkward behavior and constant twitching.
When he was young until now, he had the ability to see the supernatural, just like Brandon. However, instead of seeing the good and bad of them, all he saw were demons that have haunted him to this day.
When he got interested in writing and started doing his own stories and jokes on his typewriter, it inspired him to write a series of children's horror stories that included the demons that have scarred him for all of his life into them. Thus, the 'Goosebumps' series was created.- Actor

Jackie Earle Haley is an American actor who started his career with The Bad News Bears. He had more adult roles in Little Children, the cult classic Zack Snyder film Watchmen, Alita: Battle Angel, and Freddy Krueger from a remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. He has been married three times and has two children.Mr. Shivers
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
A centuries-old ghost who has haunted Stine the most since he took his first step in the mansion. He's also the inspiration for the latest yet still unfinished book in the 'Goosebumps' series.
Originally residing in Victorian London at the time with his fiancée, Lenore, Victor du Arnaud was a 19th century rogue soldier who later moved to a small town in Toronto after getting framed for the murder of his fiancée by a jealous ex-boyfriend of hers. When he got to Toronto, he thought about buying a mansion that was being built at the time due to the fascination he had about it's design and architecture. When the production became slower and slower, he decided to join in and help the crew try and finish it.
One day, when the mansion was almost finished, he anonymous died during the finishing touches to the house. People have talked about myths about how the construction site where the house was being built was actually, for some reason, haunted, which is why the house is being haunted by the ghost of Victor du Arnaud.
However, no one told anyone about the accident involving the dead body under the house because if it was confirmed that there was an actually ghost inside the mansion, then it would've gotten attention to the town, distracting them from living out their normal, everyday life. Thus, the new name 'Mr. Shivers' was given to the ghost due to how he's not seen from anyone, and only appears as shadows and whispers to the children who visit the house because of how the ghost thinks kids are too young to know any better.
Years later, when he first sees Brandon and notices his supernatural ability, he threateningly forces Brandon to pick up numerous objects to release the creatures from the books into reality, to which he franticly agrees to do and then does it.
Now, not only does Brandon and his new friends have to put the monsters back into their supposed books, and to stop Mr. Shivers, but they have to find out why he came up with that plan in the first time, and what's his motivation for doing that and all the other bad things he's been doing for all these years since he was alive back in the 19th century until now.- Actor

Will Poulter is an English actor, recognized for his performances as Lee Carter in Son of Rambow (2007), Eustace Scrubb in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010), and Kenny Rossmore in We're the Millers (2013). Will was born in Hammersmith, London, the son of Caroline (Barrah), a nurse, and Neil Poulter, a professor of cardiology. His mother was raised in an Anglo family in Kenya, where her own father was a prominent game warden at the Maasai Mara wildlife sanctuary.
Poulter was educated at The Harrodian School, where he participated in drama. He said in an interview that his drama teacher (Laura Lawson) encouraged his audition for the Hammer and Tongs film, Son of Rambow (2007), by knocking on his English class window and mouthing "auditions" while pointing at a flier. He was later cast as the spiky-haired delinquent "Lee Carter". Laura Lawson was also responsible for the E4 comedy sketch show, School of Comedy (2009), in which Poulter appears portraying various roles, such as "Mr. Mills" and a South African security guard. Beginning as an after-school club, School of Comedy (2009) involves children parodying the world of adults. The show was taken to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe and, in 2009, it was adapted into a 6-part television series for E4. The show has, so far, run for two seasons. In 2008, Poulter was cast as "Eustace Clarence Scrubb" in the third film of the "Narnia" franchise, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010). "Dawn Treader" was filmed in Queensland, Australia. During his almost six-month stay in Australia, Poulter was accompanied by his mother and younger sister. His father was not able to stay the entire time because of work, and his older siblings were able to stay for about two weeks, until they had to return to England. Poulter noted that, though it was hard to be separated from his family, they were able to keep in touch through phone calls and emails. More recently, Poulter appeared in the British independent film Wild Bill (2011), directed by Dexter Fletcher, and played Kenny Rossmore, his first American film character, in the comedic We're the Millers (2013), a major box office hit in the United States. His upcoming roles include The Maze Runner (2014), opposite Dylan O'Brien, and the lead in iBoy (2017).Zack Gordon

Widely regarded as one of the greatest stage and screen actors both in his native Great Britain and internationally, Toby Edward Heslewood Jones was born on September 7, 1966 in Hammersmith, London. His parents, Freddie Jones and Jennie Heslewood, are actors as well. Toby has two brothers: Rupert, a director, and Casper, a fellow actor. He studied Drama at the University of Manchester from 1986 to 1989, and at L'École Internationale de Théâtre in Paris under Jacques Lecoq in Paris from 1989 to 1991. Naturally, his career began on the stage (and continues there), but film and television roles came soon after his studies.
Toby made his film debut with a small role in Sally Potter's experimental take on Virginia Woolf's novel, Orlando (1992), starring Tilda Swinton. Other small film roles included the doorkeeper in Les Misérables (1998) and a memorable turn as the Royal Page in Ever After: A Cinderella Story (1998) with Drew Barrymore.
Roles in the acclaimed Victoria & Albert (2001) and the Helen Mirren-starring Elizabeth I (2005) were balanced with film work, from his voice role as Dobby the House Elf in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) to supporting appearances in Ladies in Lavender (2004) (co-starring his father, Freddie), Finding Neverland (2004) and Mrs. Henderson Presents (2005).
He continued stage work during this period, appearing on Broadway in The Play What I Wrote in 2003, a year after winning the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in the London production.
Infamous (2006), directed by Douglas McGrath and released in 2006, was Toby's first starring role. His acclaimed portrayal of Truman Capote remained mostly in the shadow of Philip Seymour Hoffman's Oscar-winning performance of the author in 2005's Capote (2005).
A steady stream of film roles followed with appearances in Amazing Grace (2006), The Painted Veil (2006), Nightwatching (2007), The Mist (2007), and St. Trinian's (2007). Toby then appeared in three successive films that could have been commercial breakthroughs: kid-lit flop City of Ember (2008), the Oscar-nominated Frost/Nixon (2008), and Oliver Stone's W. (2008).
He reprised the voice-role of Dobby in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010), appeared in the St. Trinian's sequel, as well as the Charles Darwin biopic Creation (2009) and Dustin Lance Black's post-Milk (2008) directorial outing, Virginia (2010). More Hollywood roles followed with appearances in The Rite (2011), Your Highness (2011), and his first big live-action breakthrough as Red Skull's biochemist Dr. Arnim Zola in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).
Even before Toby was announced as Claudius Templesmith in the adaptation of the novel The Hunger Games (2012), his star was on the rise after Captain America, with roles in three Oscar-nominated films: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), My Week with Marilyn (2011), and The Adventures of Tintin (2011). Though chances are he will forever be known by many as Claudius, the announcer for The Hunger Games with the booming voice and penchant for ending his statements with the phrase, "And may the odds be ever in your favor!"
Toby followed up this massive success with his mesmerizing tour-de-force interpretations as a sensational multifarious "chameleon" of substantial acting mastery in films such as Red Lights (2012) for Buried (2010) director Rodrigo Cortés, Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) reprising his role as Claudius Templesmith, Peter Strickland's Berberian Sound Studio (2012), Susanne Bier's Serena (2014) and Journey's End (2017). Among others, The Girl (2012), a BBC/HBO co-production in which he starred as Alfred Hitchcock, Titanic (2012), The Secret Agent (2016), Wayward Pines (2015), The Witness for the Prosecution (2016) and Sherlock (2010) are also included in the brilliant performances of his exquisite TV work.
Toby lives in London with his family.Mr. Jenkins

As Danny Elfman was growing up in the Los Angeles area, he was largely unaware of his talent for composing. It wasn't until the early 1970s that Danny and his older brother Richard Elfman started a musical troupe while in Paris; the group "Mystic Knights of Oingo-Boingo" was created for Richard's directorial debut, Forbidden Zone (1980) (now considered a cult classic by Elfman fans). The group's name went through many incarnations over the years, beginning with "The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo" and eventually just Oingo Boingo. While continuing to compose eclectic, intelligent rock music for his L.A.-based band (some of which had been used in various film soundtracks, e.g. Weird Science (1985)), Danny formed a friendship with young director Tim Burton, who was then a fan of Oingo Boingo. Danny went on to score the soundtrack of Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985), Danny's first orchestral film score. The Elfman-Burton partnership continued (most notably through the hugely-successful "Batman" flicks) and opened doors of opportunity for Danny, who has been referred to as "Hollywood's hottest film composer".music score- Art Department

Joe Dante is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Art. After a stint as a film reviewer, he began his filmmaking apprenticeship in 1974 as trailer editor for Roger Corman's New World Pictures. He made his directorial debut in 1976 with Hollywood Boulevard (1976) (co-directed with Allan Arkush), a thinly disguised spoof of New World exploitation pictures, shot in ten days for $60,000.
In 1977 Dante made his solo debut as a film director with Piranha (1978), which went on to become one of the company's biggest hits and was distributed throughout the rest of the world by United Artists. During his tenure at New World, Dante edited Ron Howard's directorial debut Grand Theft Auto (1977) and co-wrote the original story for Rock 'n' Roll High School (1979).
For Avco-Embassy Dante next directed the highly praised werewolf thriller The Howling (1981), followed by the It's a Good Life segment of the episodic Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983).
Having worked with Steven Spielberg on Twilight Zone, Dante was chosen to helm one of the first Amblin Productions for Warner Bros. Gremlins (1984) became a runaway hit and grossed more than $200 million worldwide.
Dante followed up with Explorers (1985) for Paramount, a sci-fi fantasy about three kids who build their own spaceship, and then Innerspace (1987) for Guber/Peters, Amblin and Warner Bros., an action comedy in which miniaturized test pilot Dennis Quaid is injected into the body of supermarket clerk Martin Short.
Tom Hanks starred in Dante's next film for Imagine/Universal, The 'Burbs (1989), which was followed by Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) for Warner Bros. in 1990. Matinee (1993) featuring John Goodman as a huckster showman premiering his new horror film during the Cuban Missile Crisis, was a production of Dante and partner Michael Finnell's Renfield Productions for Universal in 1993.
Dreamworks/Universal's Small Soldiers was released in 1998, followed in 2003 by Warner Bros. Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003) featuring one of Dante's favorite actors, Bugs Bunny.
Dante's Homecoming (2005), debuted in December 2005 to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and was named to numerous "Top 10" critics lists. The Sitges and Brussels International Film Festivals both honored Homecoming with Special Jury Recognition Awards, and the New Yorker called it the best political film of 2005. More recent work includes The Screwfly Solution (2006), and Boo (2007).
