Kylie Ann Minogue was born on 28 May, 1968. The eldest of three children, Kylie's acting career began early, but it was her role as "Charlene" in the Australian soap, Neighbours (1985), which established Kylie as an international star. Her singing career began, purely by accident, when a record company executive heard Kylie's rendition of Little Eva's 1962 hit, "The Loco-Motion". She signed with PWL Records and hit-makers Stock/Aitken/Waterman in 1987. Five albums and a greatest hits compilation followed, and she made history by having more than 20 consecutive top ten hits in the UK. Her motion picture debut came with the starring role of "Lola" in The Delinquents (1989). She left PWL Records in 1992 to head in a decidedly more mature musical direction, and her self-titled debut on deconstruction records was released in 1994, spawning chart hits like "Confide In Me" and "Put Yourself In My Place". Kylie's doings were always a favorite subject of the press, but she really made waves with her controversial 1995 duet with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, "Where the Wild Roses Grow". 1997 saw the release of Kylie's first single in more than 3 years, "Some Kind of Bliss", co-written and produced by James Dean Bradfield and Sean Moore of The Manic Street Preachers.- Alexa most recently starred as "Special Agent Gaines" on FBI: MOST WANTED on CBS, alongside Dylan McDermott. Christian Alvart was born in 1974 near Frankfurt, Germany. His strict Christian background frowned upon films and television and in his childhood he was rarely allowed to see a movie. He developed a fascination and love for the forbidden subject matter and quickly became an "expert" in his circle of friends, successfully hiding that he hadn't seen most of the films they were talking about. Instead, he read about films, their making, the novels or the source material they were based on. When he finally was able to get his hands on films he couldn't stop watching, often going to the cinema six times a week. In 1990 he started making small video and Super-8 films with his friends. The group became part of a network of hobby-filmmakers and geeks. Most of his peers were professionally working in lower positions on movies, creating their own projects in their free time. At the age of 19 Alvart became an editor and layout designer with the X-TRO Filmmagazin, soon working his way up to editor-in-chief and eventually even owning the special interest publication. In 1997, he decided to make his own films again and moved with his company Syrreal Entertainment to Berlin. To get a glance at the world of "professional filmmaking" he started as a runner, soon working his way up again to 1st AD on two features within the same year. In 1998, he wrote, produced and directed Curiosity & The Cat, his first 35mm feature film - a low budget thriller which cost only $30K. Many of his friends from the Frankfurt days were part of the project. The film was nominated for the Max-Ophüls-Award and the Prize of the Minister President of the State Saarland. Alvart then worked as a writer for several German features and TV shows. In 2005, he debuted Antibodies, his second work as a director. When it premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival he was named as one of "Five Directors To Watch" as well as the "German New Face of Cinema" at The AFI Festival. Antibodies was also invited to the Edinburgh Film Festival as well as many others, winning numerous awards.- Actress

He took to writing while schooling in Kitzbuhel, Austria, and upon failing the entrance requirements for Foreign Service joined the news agency Reuters as a journalist -- winning the respect of his peers for his coverage of a "show trial" in Russia of several Royal Engineers on espionage charges. Fleming briefly worked in the financial sector for the family bank, but just prior to the Second World War, was recruited into British Naval Intelligence where he excelled, shortly achieving the rank of Commander. When the war ended, Fleming retired to Jamaica where he built a house called "Goldeneye," took up writing full-time and created the character that would make him famous -- British Secret Service agent James Bond, in a novel called "Casino Royale." Fleming spent the rest of his life writing and traveling the world, but as his Bond character reached new heights of popularity on movie screens, Fleming was in ailing health. He died of a heart attack (his second) in England in August 1964 at the age of 56.- Producer

Irwin Winkler's career as a producer, director and writer encompasses popular and influential movies that have impacted contemporary culture. With a passion for big, bold, meaningful stories, his films include an array of true screen classics, garnering among them 12 Academy Awards and 52 Oscar nominations.
Among Winkler's multiple nominations include five Best Picture nominations, each for a pioneering film: the tale of underdog sports triumph, Rocky, which forged one of most globally recognizable movie characters and themes in history; Raging Bull, which turned the biopic into a gritty, lyrical work of art; the history-capturing look at the U.S. space program, The Right Stuff; the iconic gangster tale, Goodfellas; and the recent The Wolf of Wall Street. Winkler is the only producer honored with three films on the American Film Institute's list of the "Top 100 Films."
Winkler was recently honored by the Producers Guild of America with the prestigious David O. Selznick Achievement Award which recognized his lifetime body of work.
In April 2016, Winkler spoke at Harvard University's Kennedy School on the political and social influence his films have had on both the U.S. and international culture.
In December 2016 The American Cinematheque held a three-day retrospective to honor Winkler by showcasing such works as Goodfellas, New York, New York and Raging Bull, culminating with an onstage conversation alongside Martin Scorsese to discuss Winkler's storied career.
Winkler most recently produced the critically acclaimed Silence with longtime collaborator Martin Scorsese, written by Jay Cocks and starring Liam Neeson, Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver.
In 2016 Winkler produced Creed, the latest installment of his Academy Award winning franchise, Rocky Starring Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan, with Ryan Coogler directing, the film garnered both commercial and critical success; earning a Golden Globe nomination and Academy Award nomination for Sylvester Stallone. The film was named Outstanding Motion Picture from the NAACP Image Awards, the Black Film Critics Circle and named as one of the top films by the National Board of Review.
In 2013, Winkler Executive Produced the Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated The Wolf of Wall Street, directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, illustrates his continual presence as one of Hollywood's most prolific producers making an indelible impact with his ability to showcase emotional storytelling with hard hitting relevance.
For Winkler, success has come from his constant instinctual draw to fresh, current, even controversial subjects and visionary talents. As a storyteller he has been fascinated by both the dangers of corruption and the beauty of courage and compassion.
Winkler first made a resounding impact producing a series of raw, edgy human dramas that helped to define the gritty landscape of 70s and 80s cinema. Thus the the fiercely original They Shoot Horses, Don't They?, about the desperate contenders in a Depression-era dance contest, starring Jane Fonda and Michael Sarrazin, which would seal Winkler's reputation with 9 Academy Award nominations and status as a Hollywood classic.
Other highlights from this period include New York, New York, starring Liza Minnelli and Robert De Niro, which produced one of the most recognizable songs in pop culture; the enduring masterpiece, Raging Bull, considered by many to be among the great cinematic works of the 20th Century and highlighted by DeNiro's Oscar winning performance; and Goodfellas, which was honored with numerous critics' awards and has become etched in filmgoers' consciousnesses as the paragon of the American crime drama.
In that era, Winkler also produced the Mafia comedy Jimmy Brolin's The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight starring Bob DeNiro ; Up The Sandbox a look at the women's movement starring Barbra Streisand; The Gambler a penetrating look at gambling addiction, starring James Caan; the stirring modern Western, Comes A Horseman teaming Caan with Jane Fonda, directed by Alan Pakula; True Confessions written by Joan Didion and John Dunne starring Robert DeNiro and Robert Duvall; the critically-acclaimed suspense thriller about a woman who discovers her father is an accused Nazi war criminal, Music Box, which earned an Oscar nomination for star Jessica Lange and the homage to the Jazz Era, Round Midnight, with Herbie Hancock winning an Academy Award for his musical composition and a Best Actor nomination for Dexter Gordon.
In 1989, Winkler made his directorial debut from his own screenplay, Guilty By Suspicion, hailed by the New York Times as "A stirring and tragic evocation of terrible times" about Hollywood's all-too-real blacklisting era. Starring Robert DeNiro as a prominent director asked to "name names" and Annette Bening as his wife, the film presaged a writing and directing career that would, like Winkler's producing career, be focused on taut human drama and politically-charged themes and nominated for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
Winkler's next directorial outing reunited him with both Robert DeNiro and Jessica Lange in the noir crime drama, Night and the City, which would close the prestigious New York Film Festival in 1992 and become a rousing critical success. He went on to direct and produce At First Sight, a romantic drama based on a true story by Dr. Oliver Sacks, starring Val Kilmer, Mira Sorvino and Nathan Lane and the prescient cyber-crime thriller The Net, starring Sandra Bullock, one of the big box-office hits of 1995.
Winkler's directorial career would continue to take intriguing turns. He broached the thought-provoking question of what happens when a man suddenly faces his own mortality in the poignantly complex Life as a House, featuring a landmark performance by Kevin Kline.
Radically switching gears, Winkler next directed one of his most distinctive features, the musical biography of the legendary composer Cole Porter: De-Lovely. Featuring Golden Globe-nominated performances from Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd, as well as performances from pop and rock music talents, including Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Elvis Costello, Robbie Williams, Natalie Cole, and Diana Krall, all performing Porter's classic songs, the film was selected as the closing night gala event at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival.
Winkler became one of the very first American filmmakers to turn his camera on the return of U.S. veterans from the war in Iraq - when he directed and produced the provocative drama Home of the Brave, starring Samuel L. Jackson, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Jessica Biel and Brian Presley.
Winker's motion picture producing career began in the late 1960s when he produced his first film, the Elvis Presley movie Double Trouble, with the legendary director Norman Taurog. Soon after, he entered into a partnership with Robert Chartoff, producing such films as the classic revenge thriller Point Blank. In 1970, an eclectic trio of Winkler/Chartoff films each made a splash at the Cannes Film Festival: Leo the Last won the Best Director prize, the counter-culture cult film, The Strawberry Statement received the Jury Award They Shoot Horses, Don't They? garnered the closing night honors.
For his contributions to the popular culture, Winkler has been the recipient of numerous American and international honors, including the Commandeur des Arts et Lettres, the French government's highest decoration for contribution to the arts. In 1989, the British Film Institute saluted him with a retrospective of his work and in 1995, Winkler became the first producer to be honored with a showcase screening of ten of his films at the Deauville Film Festival. He has also received a Lifetime Achievement award from the Chicago Film Festival, a star on the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame and retrospectives at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, which had not honored a producer since their tribute to David O. Selznick in 1980. Winkler also received the National Board of Review's highest honor for Career Achievement in Producing, which Kevin Kline presented to him at their annual gala in January 2007 in New York. Winkler was a Governor of the New York City Ballet and is on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.- Actress

Several years later, after graduating from the University of Maryland, he found a home in the Washington, DC, theater community, where he became a well-known presence at theaters such as the Round House Theater, the Shakespeare Theater, and the Woolly Mammoth Theater Company (of which he is still a member).
Upon moving to New York City, Jason began working with the writer-performer collective known as Rumble in the Red Room. There, alongside fellow writer-performer Joel Jones, he developed the material for "Making Faces," which would eventually go on to win Best Sketch Show at 1999's U.S. Comedy Festival in Aspen, Co.
This prompted him to move to Los Angeles, where he soon landed a guest-star spot on David Kelley's The Practice (1997). This role would eventually grow and, by the beginning of the fifth season, his character, A.D.A Richard Bay, would be a regular on the show. (The character would eventually meet his demise in a hail of bullets on the show's 100th episode.)
After several more busy years of television and film work, Jason would eventually move back to New York, although he remained busy on both coasts as both an actor and a writer. Along with continuing work in TV and film, he has appeared on the Broadway stage in "Relatively Speaking," "The Drowsy Chaperone," and "Sly Fox." His series of short films about fatherhood, "Lords of the Playground," was recently in development with CBS.
Jason Kravits is probably best known for his work on television dramas such as "The Practice" and the Law & Order (1990) franchises. He has found just as much success in comedy, however, from his award-winning original sketch show "Making Faces" to noted roles on Everybody Loves Raymond (1996) and Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). As of fall 2011, he appeared on Broadway in "Relatively Speaking," a night of one-act plays by _Ethan Coen, Elaine May, and Woody Allen. - Javiera Muñoz was born on 28 May 1977 in Motala, Sweden. Jean-Pierre Léaud is not everybody's cup of tea for sure, but will remain an important name in film history. As an actor he can be adored or hated for exactly the same reasons: he is one of those rare players that directors let improvise his dialogue, which gets on certain viewers' nerves while it fascinates others. The same is true for his very personal staccato diction and elocution and his many mannerisms, the most obvious one being his way to run his hand through his long hair. But there is no denying Léaud is not just another actor, whether you love him or are allergic to him. The son of actress Jacqueline Pierreux and scriptwriter/assistant director Pierre Léaud, Jean-Pierre started acting very early. Indeed, he was only thirteen when he first appeared on a screen, playing a small role in a swashbuckling film directed by veteran Georges Lampin "la Tour, prends garde!" (1957). And he was still only fourteen when he answered an ad placed in a newspaper by François Truffaut, who was seeking a young actor able to play Antoine Doinel, a troubled adolescent, in his first feature film "The 400 blows". Jean-Pierre was tested among a hundred other candidates and proved so amazingly spontaneous and so gifted for improvisation that not only was he hired but he would go on to play the role in four subsequent Truffaut semi-autobiographies concluding with "Love on the run" (1978), a unique experience indeed. Thanks to Truffaut he was introduced to the other stars of the French New Wave, mainly Jean-Luc Godard for whom he would appear in eight films and one TV film, and gradually became their icon. Not too sure about his acting talents, he planned to become a director (which he actually did only once) and worked as an assistant to Truffaut and Godard. But his success both as Truffaut's alter ego and as the leftist movie makers' spokesman encouraged him to go on playing rather than directing. "Masculin Féminin" (1966) by Godard even earned him an Award for Best Actor at the Berlin Film Festival. An ardent leftist militant himself, he worked with equally committed directors, including abroad. He was in Italian Pasolini's "Porcile" (1968), in Polish Skolimovski's "Dialog 20-40-60" (also '68) Brazilian Carlos Diegues' Os herdeiros (1970) and Glauber Rocha's Der Leone have sept cabeças (1971). Bertolucci also hired him for "Last tango in Paris" starring Marlon Brando (who so petrified Léaud that he could not play his scenes alongside him), but this one was filmed in Paris. This busy period ended after an excellent role in a classic art movie in the French style: Jean Eustache's "La maman et la putain". In the late seventies and throughout the eighties Léaud worked irregularly, mainly on television, occasionally giving a crazy performance in a mainstream film, as was the case in Josiane's Balasko crime comedy "Les keufs", for which he got a César nomination. But he made an exciting comeback in the nineties when several "new New Wave" directors hired Léaud to pay homage to their elders. Among them French movie makers such as Olivier Assayas, Danièle Dubroux , Serge Le Péron or Bertrand Bonello and foreigners like Finnish Aki Käurismäki and Taiwanese Tsai Ming-Liang. A second youth for eternally young, rebellious, ill-at-ease, annoyingly romantic, touchingly annoying Jean-Pierre Léaud, whose round face staring at the camera in the last shot of "The 400 blows" will never be forgotten.- Actor

Lovely, auburn-haired Martha Vickers (nee Martha MacVicar) was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on May 28, 1925, the daughter of James S. and Frances MacVicar. After attending schools in various states - Florida, Texas and California - she and her family settled on the West Coast. A raving beauty, she broke into the entertainment field as a model for still photographer William Mortenson. This attracted the interest of David O. Selznick and she signed a starlet contract with him, but nothing came of it. Universal took over her contract where she was groomed in inauspicious bit parts such as her corpse/victim in Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943), and in such low-level entries as Captive Wild Woman (1943) and The Mummy's Ghost (1944). In between assignments, Martha earned WWII pin-up exposure in such magazines as "Yank: The Army Weekly."
RKO gave her some higher-level billing chances with Marine Raiders (1944) and The Falcon in Mexico (1944), but it was Warner Bros. that put her officially on the map. The enticing Martha earned celebrity status and a new stage moniker when she generated some real heat as Lauren Bacall's wild, thumb-sucking sister Carmen in the film noir classic The Big Sleep (1946), which also starred Humphrey Bogart, playing the teenage nymphet "bad girl" for all it was worth. This major success quickly led to other "B" roles and not necessarily all "bad girl" parts. Highly appealing as the second femme lead in the pleasant musical The Time, the Place and the Girl (1946), Martha looked radiant but was overlooked for bigger things. She continued on and disrupted the proceedings again in the atmospheric film noir The Man I Love (1946) with Ida Lupino and finally earned leading lady status in That Way with Women (1947) opposite Dane Clark.
Very much a part of the Hollywood dating scene, which included actor James Stewart and director Frederick De Cordova, Martha finally married producer A.C. Lyles in March of 1948, but the marriage was over within a couple of months. Post-war films included Love and Learn (1947), another film noir piece Ruthless (1948), and the melodrama Bad Boy (1949), which was Audie Murphy's first starring role. She ended the decade top-lining the "Poverty-Row" drama Alimony (1949). Surprisingly, Martha's high-profiled second marriage in 1949 to film star Mickey Rooney (she was his third wife) did not advance her career. In fact, Martha was not seen in films at all during this period. Despite the couple having a son, Teddy Rooney, the next year (1950), Rooney had already hit the nadir of his career and had turned excessively to the bottle. Her marriage to Rooney would be short-lived as well.
Martha married a third time in 1954 to Chilean polo player-turned-actor Manuel Rojas, best known for his co-starring role in The Magnificent Matador (1955), and she finally returned to the screen in The Big Bluff (1955) co-starring with John Bromfield. The momentum, however, was gone and the movie did nothing to generate new interest. She did move, however, into TV and performed effectively in a number of dramatic showcases. She and Rojas had two children, Tina and Tessa. In 1960, Martha did her last filming with the western Four Fast Guns (1960) and after guesting on a couple of episodes of the TV series "The Rebel," ended her career. Not much was heard from this sultry beauty until her death from cancer in 1971 at age 46 in Hollywood, California.- Actress

Michelle Collins was born on 28 May 1962 in Hackney, London, England, UK. She is an actress, known for Two Thousand Acres of Sky (2001), Doctor Who (2005) and Coronation Street (1960). She has been married to Mike Davidson since 10 August 2022.- A doctor's daughter, the versatile actress Minna Gombell had a successful career on the stage from 1912 to the end of the 1920's, appearing often in comedic roles, almost always in leads. She had a reputation as a fast learner, capable of reading and comprehending a script in a matter of hours. This ability served her well as an understudy early in her career. She made her Broadway debut in 1913 in 'Madam President' and later appeared in several productions of her stage director husband Myron C. Fagan (for instance,'Nancy's Private Affair',1930).
Minna began her film career in 1929. Although her specialty was street-wise, tough-talking blondes, she displayed quite a repertoire of varied characters during her movie career. She was best friend and steadying influence on Sally Eilers in Bad Girl (1931), a conflicted and unhappy mother in After Tomorrow (1932), the cold wife of The Thin Man (1934), a waspish wife in Babbitt (1934), brassy burlesque performers in Stepping Sisters (1932), a spunky wagon-line owner in Doomed Caravan (1941), and a tough nurse presiding over The Snake Pit (1948). She also had occasional leads, for instance as the gold-digger Stella in Bachelor's Affairs (1932), a comedy with Adolphe Menjou. An underrated actress, she enlivened many a film with her presence. - Actress

A film and Television composer, Neil Argo's dramatic and provocative scores have been heard around the world. From Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), Melrose Place (1992) and Dynasty (1981), to the far reaches of South African National Geographic documentaries, he was attached to many noteworthy projects.
Studying both piano and percussion, upon graduation from high school, Neil elected to serve his country in the United States Air Force. But rather than flying planes, Neil's musical talents led him to be an integral part of the North American Air Defense Norad Command Band. A joint military music organization, comprised of all branches of the military from throughout the world, the group afforded Neil to travel and perform internationally.
Completion of military duty led to a Bachelor Degree in Music Composition at North Texas State University at Denton, a school highly regarded for Jazz studies in performance and composition. It was here that Neil discovered his talent for writing music, and was encouraged to major in music composition.
Neil received his Master of Music, Music Theory and Composition at the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley, where in later years, he was presented with the honor of Distinguished Alumnus. It was here that Neil further developed his Jazz and contemporary music repertoire, which expanded to include composing, orchestrating and conducting for various sized ensembles. He began writing for corporate and commercial clients while keeping an eye on the long-term goal of writing for film and Television. Over his career, Neil was the recipient of 15 Telly Awards for his work in advertising.
During this period, Neil was a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Award, and became the first Composer-in-Residence for the State of Colorado. This led to his scoring of Zebulon Pike and the Blue Mountain (1984), a highly acclaimed, feature length docudrama.
As Neil's music and reputation continued to expand, he was introduced to a former co-producer of The John Denver Special (1976)s for ABC, residing in Aspen-Marty Stouffer. Neil was asked to write the main theme for a new Television series to be called Wild America (1982), which would subsequently become a major international series, and was developed into a motion picture. In addition to the theme, Neil scored over 100 of the episodes. The Born to Run (1983) episode won the Gold Award at the 27th Annual International Film and Television Festival of New York. After 12 seasons on PBS, the series was selected for syndication through Paramount Television, appearing on ABC and CBS.
The success of Wild America (1982) became the catalyst for Neil to move to Los Angeles, and continue his pursuit of writing for film and Television. Upon arriving, Neil was introduced to Rocky Moriana, then Vice President of Music for Aaron Spelling's Spelling Entertainment. He was invited to attend scoring sessions for many of Spelling's popular Television productions, and was invited to write for several of the shows, including The Colbys (1985) and Hotel (1983). Moving further into the scoring arena, Neil scored for Paramount Television's MacGyver (1985).
After three years of orchestrating for other composers, composer John E. Davis, asked Neil if he'd like to be a co-composer on the return of a classic series, (The New) Mission: Impossible (1988) for Paramount. The series aired on ABC from 1988 thru1990. It was with this friendship that the two composers went on to collaborate on the very successful Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), Hearts Are Wild (1992), Melrose Place (1992) and Burke's Law (1994).
While writing for Television, Neil continued to pursue film scoring, which led to his composing the score for The Cat Story, produced by Film Buff Productions/MGM-UA Filmland, and directed by the noted Andy Tennant. He then went on to The Laureate (1991) (Robert Jacobson, dir.), winner of the Golden Eagle Award at the Houston International Film and Video Festival. The following year, Neil scored Pictures from the Floating World, a UCLA film project. Later, Palatine Cinema signed Neil to score Un Incontro (an Encounter) (1995) (Silvanus Slaughter, dir.)
In 1993, Neil composed the score for the My Indian Summer (1995), and scored an episode of the Animal Minds (1995).
A highlight of Neil's scoring career was his attachment to the highly regarded, Emmy Award-winning Survivors of the Skeleton Coast (1993) (Des Bartlett & Jen Bartlett, dirs./prods.) for National Geographic Television. The special has led to his music being a part of the internationally syndicated series, Skeleton Coast Safari (1997), a tremendously successful series. The soundtrack was released on the Cantiga Music label, Neil's own record company.
Further recognizing Neil's work, Kronos Records released the long-awaited soundtrack from the Television series Wild America (1982) in a limited edition CD. Neil's music played an integral role in the success of the series, which has been enjoyed by millions over the years, and has been performed by orchestras nationwide. Kronos Records has also released Neil's soundtrack from Heaven's Messenger (2008) (Russ Emanuel, dir.) yet another highly acclaimed, award-winning film score.
Neil's scores involved full studio orchestras, as well as electronic synthesized music. While he preferred the magnificent sound of an acoustic ensemble, he also developed hybrid scores, using both acoustic and electronic elements.
In addition to his film and Television career, Neil was an Associate Professor at California State University at Northridge, for orchestration and film scoring, and has been a guest lecturer at numerous colleges and universities across America. He was also a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and a member of the Media Task Force at Biola University, La Mirada, California, where he also taught music technology, as applied to film and Television production, theory, in addition to private instruction.
And, while working with prospective composers, he also counseled with young filmmakers, introducing them to the finer elements of film scoring as related to their films.
Sadly, with a family history of heart disease, Neil Douglas Argo passed away on August 2, 2018, at the age of 71. Neil was my first client when I established the Agency, and he contributed greatly to my immersion in the world of Hollywood. In so doing, he became a very special friend. May he rest in eternal peace.- Actor

Nicholas Gunn made his career debut on the long-running television soap 'Neighbours' in 2005. He has since appeared on 'Satisfaction', 'Carla Cametti PD' and 'Offspring' working opposite popular local talents Brooke Satchwell, Asher Keddie and Kat Stewart.
After years of extensive training with the likes of Richard Sarell (The Rehearsal Room) and Bruce Alexander (Melbourne Acting Studio), Nicholas won 'best actor' for his performance in Carl J. Sorheim's stage play 'It's all the Rage' at Melbourne Short and Sweet 2009. This rewarded him a place as one of the lead actors on the 'Shorter and Sweeter' national tour (funded by Regional Arts Victoria), which toured Australia, visiting major states such as South Australia, Canberra & NSW to sold out shows.
In 2009, he was cast as one of the lead actors in 'The Dream Children'. Patricia Quinn was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She was beginning to break into television when she was offered the role of "the Usherette/Magenta" in Richard O'Brien's "Rocky Horror Show", the role she would become best known for. Patricia continued to work hard after "Rocky Horror" and soon became a household name going on to star in countless productions alongside some of the biggest names in entertainment. Over the years, Quinn has proved that she can carry off anything with her unique and versatile style and an impressive resume spanning over film, television and theatre. There is only one Patricia Quinn.- Rachel Kempson, the matriarch of one of theatre and film's most famous acting dynasties, took rather a back seat to the attention placed on several of the others.
Born on May 28, 1910, in Dartmouth, Devon, England, to Beatrice Hamilton (Ashwell) and Eric William Edward Kempson, a headmaster, Rachel trained at RADA and made her professional stage debut at Stratford in 1933 playing Hero in Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing." She went on to grace other famed companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company, the English Stage Company and the Old Vic.
Marrying actor Michael Redgrave in 1935, she became Lady Redgrave when Sir Michael was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1959. Their three children grew to become celebrated acting icons of their own: Vanessa Redgrave, Lynn Redgrave and Corin Redgrave. Over the years, the precedence of being a wife and mother strongly overruled her career ambitions. On stage she co-starred with Sir Michael in a number of plays including "Flowers of the Forest" (1935), "Love's Labour's Lost" (1936), "Storm in a Teacup" (1936), "The Wingless Victory" (1943), "Antony and Cleopatra" (as Octavia) (1953), "King Lear" (as Regan) (1953) and Samson Agonistes (1965).
Besides featured roles in such films as A Woman's Vengeance (1948), Tom Jones (1963), The Third Secret (1964), Curse of the Fly (1965) and The Jokers (1967), Rachel also appeared in movies alongside several different family members including her husband in Jeannie (1941), The Captive Heart (1946) and The Sea Shall Not Have Them (1954); daughter Lynn in Tom Jones (1963), Georgy Girl (1966) and The Virgin Soldiers (1969) and both Vanessa and Corin in The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968).
In 1986, Lady Redgrave wrote her autobiography "Life Among the Redgraves" in which she detailed her loving but difficult marriage with Sir Michael who was bisexual and had occasional discreet affairs. Their marriage endured, however, until his death in 1985, four months before they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Today, the family's acting legacy has continued to expand into the next thriving generation. Grandchildren Natasha Richardson, Joely Richardson and Jemma Redgrave are all prominent actors.
Her later screen career was focused on prolific British TV series, TV movies and mini-series, including Jane Eyre (1970), Elizabeth R (1971), Jennie: Lady Randolph Churchill (1974), Love for Lydia (1977), Tales of the Unexpected (1979), The Jewel in the Crown (1984), The Black Tower (1985), Small World (1988) and Lorna Doone (1990). Her twilight films included Out of Africa (1985), Stealing Heaven (1988) and her final Déjà Vu (1997), the last being with Vanessa. Lady Redgrave died suddenly of a stroke at age 92 while staying at granddaughter Natasha's home in Millbrook, New York. - Actor
