Mel Gibson burst onto the scene in 1979 with George Miller's classic low budget post-apocalypse move Mad Max. He then played the role again twice, in the sequels Mad Mad: The Road Warrior and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderome

Fast forward 30 years and George Miller is back with the sequel/soft reboot Mad Max: Fury Road. This time, however, Mel Gibson is not longer playing the iconic role - That honor now belongs to Tom Hardy.
