Banshee - Season 3 Review

Rating - 8.5-great Highlight episode - A Fixer of Sorts

Best season yet with some fantastic episodes. The Burton and Nola fight was the best yet and the whole Cadi siege in Tribal was awesome. Some episodes weren't as effective such as 2, 4 and 9 but they still offered something to like. Chayton was never going to be a complex character but he served his role well and his death was great. The heist episode was pretty original, too.

Otherwise, Deva was pretty useless and although Bunker is a pretty cool character his whole subplot seemed out of place. Proctor had a very interesting arc even if he did end up back where he used to be by the end of it all. However, the whole Black Beards situation with Frazier seemed rushed in the last 2 episodes and so lacked the desired impact. Proctor's last scene with Hood was well-done, though, and a resigned Hood seems interesting.

As for the finale as a whole, it had brilliant action but Stowe was yet another rushed bad-guy that could have done with a little more development. Also, the hacker fan-boy of Job was...weird, and the fact that's being carried over for next season annoys me. Gordon's death was handled well, I guess, although a bit contrived, especially the show granting him the ability to be a bad-ass. Besides all that, a great season, although a little inconsisent, that reached heights that rival the best of TV.
