The most disturbing performance I've ever seen. Masterpiece. 10/10

- DirectorAnton CorbijnStarsPhilip Seymour HoffmanRachel McAdamsDaniel BrühlA Chechen Muslim illegally immigrates to Hamburg, where he gets caught in the international war on terror.Hoffman's performance, subtle, maybe his best ever. Rest of the cast was excellent. If you liked Tinker Tailor or The Good Shepard, you'll enjoy this. 8/10
- DirectorMyroslav SlaboshpytskyiStarsHryhoriy FesenkoYana NovikovaRosa BabiyA deaf boy joins a boarding school for similar children. Confronted by the violent and criminal antics of some of the other boys and girls, he struggles to conform and join the 'tribe'.The story of a prostitution ring being run out of a Ukrainian boarding school for the deaf. As harrowing as it sounds, even more so because there’s no spoken dialogue whatsoever, the whole thing’s told through sign language. With no subtitles. The absence of speech was jarring at first, but it draws you into its world completely. Highly recommended, but not for the faint of heart (it’s Irreversible-intense in parts) 8/10

Now, he has to endure seven sphincter-clenching days to convince them of his innocence. Will nature take its course?Really enjoyed this, bit slow to start, but there's a couple hilarious scenes. Hugo Weaving's great as always as is the main guy Angus Sampson 7/10
- DirectorGareth EdwardsStarsAaron Taylor-JohnsonElizabeth OlsenBryan CranstonThe world is beset by the appearance of monstrous creatures, but one of them may be the only one who can save humanity.Put this off for a while, watched Gareth Edward's 'Monster' the week before it came out and it put me right off, that was probably the most boring post apocalyptic film I've ever seen. Anyway, Godzilla '14, monster fights were cool, everything else was bad, casting, performances, lack of any humor, etc. but what can you expect from the writer of Doom and The Expendables... Better than Emmerich's effort and about as enjoyable as the original Gojira. Who was that main dude, Bryan Cranston's son? Make him go away.
- DirectorWilliam EubankStarsBrenton ThwaitesOlivia CookeBeau KnappOn a road trip, Nic and two friends are drawn to an isolated area by a computer genius. When everything suddenly goes dark, Nic regains consciousness - only to find himself in a waking nightmare.I haven't been annoyed by a movie so much for quite some time. It's just one long over-stylized, heavy handed homage to far better films, without a single original idea throughout. My advice is to look elsewhere for your sci-fi fix, if you've seen Logan's Run, 2001, Planet of the Apes, Chronicle, Pandorum and the X-Files, you've seen everything The Signal has to offer. Don't waste your time on this *beep* WORST FILM OF THE YEAR 2/10
