Terrible Documentaries
Either by faults in research or lack of facts, these documentaries are a waste of time. Some are deliberately misleading, others lack the ethical standards expected of a documentary filmmaker.

- DirectorRobert J. FlahertyStarsAllakariallakAlice NevalingaCunayouIn this silent predecessor to the modern documentary, film-maker Robert J. Flaherty spends one year following the lives of Nanook and his family, Inuits living in the Arctic Circle.Proven to be fake.
- DirectorJames AlgarStarsWinston HiblerVolmer SørensenThe wildlife of the arctic is explored in this true-life adventure.Proven to be faked.
- DirectorFritz HipplerStarsCurt BoisCharles ChaplinAlbert EinsteinUnder the guise of a brutally honest documentary, this malevolent propaganda film aims to be an "indispensable tool in the hands of the Aryan race", designed to depict the "true" Jew when the masks of western civilisation fall off.Nazi propaganda.
- DirectorMorgan SpurlockStarsMorgan SpurlockDaryl IsaacsChemeeka WalkerWhile examining the influence of the fast food industry, Morgan Spurlock personally explores the consequences on his health of a diet of solely McDonald's food for one month.Entertaining, but proven to be based on false data. It has merit as good eating propaganda, however it should not be watched for any more than amusement.
- DirectorShaun MonsonStarsJoaquin PhoenixUsing hidden cameras and never-before-seen footage, Earthlings chronicles the day-to-day practices of the largest industries in the world, all of which rely entirely on animals for profit.Outdated videos, shock footage, grossly exaggerated claims. This supposed documentary has it all. I understand the need people have to get a personally felt opinion across, but this film pushes the boundaries simply to sway opinion without any basis in consistent facts.
We do need to look at treatment of our animals with a critical eye, but there is enough evidence that can be shown to help create a better system without turning people off when they see something being blatantly distorted to further the cause.
This film does more harm than good. - DirectorRegina Russell BanaliStarsSteven AdlerEric BakerFrankie BanaliSome bands deserve another shot, and another...and another...and another.Lacking in unbiased point of views. This film is an obvious manipulation, and distortion of history. Missing large chunks of time, and excludes any interviews that would circumvent the point of view of one notoriously bashed member of this band, to make him look better than a dead man who can no longer defend himself or his past actions.
Lacks in substance, depth and objectivity. The director was sleeping with the star of her film, however, fails to mention this until the end credits to manipulate viewers into thinking the story was portrayed without distortion.
