Alex McDowell is an award-winning production designer working at the intersection of design, technology and storytelling. In 2002, after his work as designer of Minority Report, he founded the multi-disciplinary narrative design practice of world building. He is creative director at Experimental Design, building worlds across media for industries and institutions. He is a Professor of Practice at USC's School of Cinematic Arts, where he holds the William Cameron Menzies Chair in Production Design. He is director of the USC World Building Media Lab researching the future of storytelling in art and science using post-cinematic media and mixed reality. He is director of the World Building Institute, which stages narrative workshops around the world, including at the Berlin Film Festival, Sundance New Frontier and the Future of Storytelling. He has delivered keynote addresses at global events for two decades focused on design for change, the power of design practice, and the evolution of production systems across industries. Alex is a production designer of feature films for over 30 years, working with directors David Fincher, Steven Spielberg, Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam, Zach Snyder and Anthony Minghella among many others. As Visiting Artist to the MIT Media Lab (2005-2010) he designed the robot opera "Death and the Powers." His awards include Royal Designer for Industry for the UK's RSA (2006), the President's Award (UK Designers & Art Directors, 2013), the Future Voice Award (Interaction Awards, 2014), the ADG Excellence in Production Design (2005), and San Diego Film Critics Society (2002); nominations for awards at BAFTA (2006), Saturn (2010), OFTA (2003, 2006), and VES (2003); and the 2013 D&AD President's Award.- Art Director

Production Designer ANDY NICHOLSON'S most notable collaboration has been with Director Alfonso Cuaron on 'Gravity' (Pictured); receiving OSCAR & BAFTA nominations for Production Design and winning the Art Directors Guild (ADG) Award for a fantasy/sci-fi film.
Andy recently completed work Designing 'The School For Good and Evil' for Director Paul Feig and 'Red Notice' for Writer Director Rawson Marshall Thurber.
He also served as the Production Designer on 'Jurassic World: fallen Kingdom' for Director J A Bayona, 'Captain Marvel' for Directors Anna Bowden & Ryan Fleck, 'Assassins Creed' for Director Justin Kurzel, 'Divergent' for Neil Burger & for Andrew Niccol 'The Host'.
Nicholson has worked several times with director Tim Burton, starting in 1999 as an Art Director on Sleepy Hollow, for which he won an Art Directors Guild (ADG) Award. He earned another ADG Award nomination for his work as an Art Director on Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and has since collaborated with the director as a Supervising Art Director on Alice in Wonderland and as a visual development Art Director on Frankenweenie.
Andy won another ADG Award for his work on Chris Weitz's The Golden Compass, and received ADG Award nominations for Paul Greengrass's The Bourne Ultimatum and Joe Johnston's Captain America.
His credits as a supervising Art Director also include Johnston's The Wolfman, Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla, Nancy Meyers' The Holiday and Anthony Minghella's Breaking and Entering. Allan Cameron was born on April 1, 1944. He attended art school in his native Oxford, the University of Birmingham and the Royal College of Art in London. Shortly after graduation he went into designing for television shows for ten years - including the comedy 'George and Mildred', 'Born and Bred', 'The Naked Civil Servant' and 'Edward and Mrs Simpson' for which he received a BAFTA award. He also designed all eleven of the Brent Walker series 'The Gilbert and Sullivan' collection. In the early 1980s he moved into film with 'The Honorary Consul' and has since designed for dozens of films, including 'The Mummy' and 'The Da Vinci Code'. Jeffrey Beecroft, Has received numerous awards and nominations throughout his design career, including an Academy Award nomination for the Production Design of Dances with Wolves, 3 MOMA awards, CLIO awards, 6 ADG nominations and 3 Art Director's Guild Awards for Designer of the Year for Commercial Design. Among other films Mr. Beecroft has created a singular look for are David Fincher's The Game, Terry Gilliam's Twelve Monkeys, Michael Bay's Transformers Age of Extinction, 13 Hours Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, Transformers The Last Knight, A Quiet Place, for John Krasinski and most recently 6 Underground with Ryan Renyolds. Theater and Opera designs have been seen extensively on Broadway and the West End recently as part of Tobias Rheberger's Otto Project for Fondazione Prada in Milan. He has received two Tony Nominations for the Royal Shakespeare Company productions of Cyrano de Bergerac and Much Ado About Nothing in collaboration with director Terry Hands. Among Beecroft's West End productions are, Playboy of the Western World for the Abbey Theater, the RSC's Troilus and Cressida, Old Vic's After Aida among others directed by Howard Davies and The Royal Exchange productions of, Oedipus Rex and Three Sisters for which he won the Evening Standard Award. A Manhattan born New Yorker, Arthur worked as a Stage Lighting Designer in the late 1960s and early 1970s in the music industry, and then, after studying architecture in England and Italy, went on to do several architectural design projects in London. He entered British film as an assistant to several British Production Designers in the mid-1980s. First for Stuart Craig on Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, and Cal (both 1984) and then for Ashetton Gorton on Revolution (1985). NATHAN CROWLEY (Production Designer) Born in London, grew up in Islington. Attended Brighton School of Art in England. He has received Academy Award nominations for" The Prestige", "The Dark Knight" and " Interstellar", also Bafta Nominations for "Batman Begins", "The Dark Knight" , "Interstellar" and "Dunkirk" his seventh collaboration with director Christopher Nolan. John Myhre was born in 1959. A film buff from an incredibly early age he began watching the TV coverage of the Oscars aged five and received a Super-8 camera for his seventh birthday. After graduating from Nathan Hale High School he studied film at the Bellevue Community College in the 1970s, subsidizing himself by working at a local cinema. He went to work designing film posters, in the process meeting several film-makers and in 1984 left his native Seattle for Hollywood, to be an assistant art director on horror comedy, 'Night of the Comet'. Jim Bissell is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BFA in Theater. After working in New York and L.A. on commercials and low budget features, he won an Emmy Award in 1980 for his work on Palmerstown, U.S.A. followed by a BAFTA nomination for production design on Steven Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Production designer Therese DePrez, best known for her work on "Black Swan," "Stoker," and "High Fidelity," died past 19 Dec 2017 at her home in New York City.
