Highlight episode - No Sanctuary
An improvement in terms of inconsistency, that's for sure. The premiere was amazing and up to episode 3 the show was on a roll...but then episodes 4-8 happened, which I didn't think were too bad despite them covering 1 episode's worth of material, the entire hospital plot pretty bland.
Anyway, episode 9 seemed to be very polarizing and for me I thought it was great and visually perfect. The way Tyreese died annoyed me though as I wish he'd survived it all. From there on the Alexandria arc has been really refreshing for the show and Noah's death plus Glenn's reaction was pretty horrifying. However, Sasha's whole depressed subplot was tedious and Gabriel is a pretty pathetic character...leading to the finale which I found pretty intense despite the lack of any big battle. My only major problem with it the fact they didn't kill off Gabriel and Nicholas, which decreased the pay-off of all that set-up.
Overall, I think the show's finally found a direction and Morgan's finally back, so, hope season 6 can keep that up.
