Highlight episode - No Way Out
The problem with this show is its inconsistency, however, luckily for this season when it was at its best it was amazing. Take the start of the season and JSS, Thank You, and Here's Not Here were all brilliant. Glenn's dumpster fiasco was a cop-out, but, I still really loved the original scene. Morgan's episode was great character development for him also.
After that the show got weak again...and then came No Way Out which was the show firing on all cylinders. Probably the best episode of TWD, for me. The fact I now found myself cheering for characters like Gabriel and Eugene a pleasant surprise given my prior hatred for them. After that we had some relatively good world-building and although the Saviours were pretty weak - until the finale - the development of Carol was great.
As for the finale? A very intense episode, maybe a little plodding...and then Negan. His introduction was very good and JDM was a great choice, I just hope they don't nerf him too much being on AMC. It was a big shame that they ruined all of that built-up tension by leaving it on a cliffhanger as no doubt by the time the season 7 premiere comes around the impact of the death won't nearly be as effective. A very bad decision. Still, Negan v Rick is cool, right?
