American Horror Story: Hotel - Season Review
Season rating - 7-good
Highlight episode - Room Service
Worst season by far - yes, worse than Coven somehow. It started off how all AHS seasons do, pretty promising and all, but rapidly declined into some diabolical television. Okay, not COMPLETELY, it had some redeeming factors in the form of Denis O'Hare as Liz providing a somewhat half-decent character, and Mr. March was kind of interesting. Outside of that, though, the script was just a complete mess. The whole concept was a rehash of Murder House which pulled it off a million times better. Lady Gaga as the Countess actually wasn't the worst thing about the show, suprisingly she was okay for the character she was given - nowhere near worthy of a Golden Globe but whatever. Anyway, the show lost any suspense and real sense of horror after the first few episodes, the only real sequence I enjoyed being the school vampire attack. As for character development? Well, what a joke is all I'll say, and that flashbacks don't make a character more interesting if they serve as pointless exposition. Overall, the show became a complete parody of its first two season's glory and continues to taint its image.
