Highlight episode - Hell Is Other People
By far the weakest season, the whole heretic family arc was so boring and then the Armory and Vault plots were a bit more interesting, but, for the most part, not very good. Rayna the Vampire Slayer seemed like a promising set-up until that was botched pretty swiftly. The flash forwards were pretty unnecessary, too, and only served to undermine character relationships that were set-up in that 3 years as we the audience had no investment in Bonzo, or Alaric and Caroline (the hell...) and Matt and Penny - that last one was pretty terrible. However, I liked the Damon in Hell episode a lot and evil Damon and Enzo seems a better trade than what we got here.
