- DirectorOz RodriguezStarsJaden MichaelGerald JonesGregory Diaz IVA group of young friends from the Bronx fight to save their neighborhood from gentrification...and vampires.Chicken Little but with vampires.
Seriously: the group of friends sneak into the place of the antagonists only to be discovered and flee, then, the main lead makes a fool of himself by showing no proof to his neighbors, there is even an anxious nerd in the group saying all the time "let's get out of here!" and his mother takes him by the ear!
Take it as it is: entertainment with a cute background message about real "bloodsuckers". It's a nice movie.
Btw, these must be the weakest vampires I've seen. They were like balloons filled with water. I've seen rough anal videos in which penetrations were way harder.
5.6/10 - DirectorAntonio CamposStarsBill SkarsgårdTom HollandBanks RepetaSinister characters converge around a young man devoted to protecting those he loves in a postwar backwoods town teeming with corruption and brutality.Rural Pulp Fiction.
An incredible movie. The rhythm remains strong during its two hours long. It never gets boring. All the performances are outstanding. I'm surprised it doesn't have at least a 7.5 rating, it certainly deserves it.
Warning: If you are a hardcore religious person, you will lower your eyebrows more than once.
7.5/10 - DirectorEshom NelmsIan NelmsStarsMel GibsonWalton GogginsMarianne Jean-BaptisteA rowdy, unorthodox Santa Claus is fighting to save his declining business. Meanwhile, Billy, a neglected and precocious 12 year old, hires a hit man to kill Santa after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking. Its absurdity is very engaging. At first, when reading the plot, you underestimate it for the obvious stupidity of its plot, but you end up enchanted by the rarity of what you are witnessing. It's a very curious film. It gets short, the rhythm is very fluid and the funniest thing were the scenes of the hitman (which are many). Mel Gibson is on point as always. It's like some kind of Fargo but with Santa in the story.´
5.8/10 - DirectorDavid Galán GalindoStarsJavier ReyVerónica EcheguiBrays EfeMadrid, 2019. A serial killer is spreading chaos. Anonymous people with no apparent connection are being murdered while imitating the first appearances of the most famous superheroes.Funny mix between Se7en and Kick-Ass.
5.7/10 - DirectorDeon TaylorStarsNaomie HarrisTyrese GibsonFrank GrilloA rookie New Orleans police officer is forced to balance her identity as a black woman after she witnesses two corrupt cops committing murder.Really really good!
6.1/10 - DirectorCraig ZobelStarsBetty GilpinHilary SwankIke BarinholtzTwelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don't know where they are, or how they got there. They don't know they've been chosen - for a very specific purpose - The Hunt.Wildly entertaining.
6.5/10 - DirectorGerald KarglStarsErwin LederRobert Hunger-BühlerSilvia RyderA troubled man gets released from prison and starts taking out his sadistic fantasies on an unsuspecting family living in a secluded house.Intense. The main actor plays a very good maniac role.
6.7/10 - DirectorRichard FranklinStarsAnthony PerkinsVera MilesMeg TillyAfter twenty-two years of psychiatric care, Norman Bates attempts to return to a life of solitude, but the specters of his crimes - and his mother - continue to haunt him.OK. It has balls for wanting to be the sequel to one of the greatest classics in film history, I give it that.
6.4/10 - DirectorJohn McNaughtonStarsMichael RookerTracy ArnoldTom TowlesArriving in Chicago, Henry moves in with ex-con acquaintance Otis and starts schooling him in the ways of the serial killer.Creepy.
7.0/10 - DirectorJoe BerlingerStarsLily CollinsZac EfronAngela SarafyanA chronicle of the crimes of Ted Bundy from the perspective of Liz, his longtime girlfriend, who refused to believe the truth about him for years.OK. The best thing about the movie is without a doubt the rhythm. It does not get slow or boring. Although after half the time it staggers a bit almost verging on the quality of a mundane TVfilm. I feel like Zac Efron doesn't really play Bundy. He plays the mask that the real Bundy wanted to show his family, friends and mainstream media. His performance is too restrained. Why make a movie about someone famous if you are not going to show what they are famous for? It's like making an Ali movie and not showing him in a ring.
The female protagonist is wasted. All she does in the movie is drink and watch TV. They could have done more with the character even if it wasn't what happened. What do I know. Harassment? Suicide ideation? After all it is a movie, if you want to know what really happened just watch a documentary. The Untouchables is 70% fiction and it's great.
It's a film that simply delivers without aspiring to much more. The actors are correct, the rhythm as I said is good but the script is too cold; looks like it was all borrow from the wikipedia.
Good film, but too correct; doesn't get wet.
6.3/10 - DirectorWon-Chan HongStarsHwang Jung-minLee Jung-jaePark Jeong-minAn assassin goes to Thailand in order to solve a kidnapping case linked to him, and finds himself chased by a man whose sibling he killed.Léon + Terminator 2 + Carlito's Way + Taken = This masterpiece.
7.3/10 - DirectorMichael FeiferStarsAntonio Sabato Jr.John BurkeKelly CurranThe true story of serial killer Henry Lee Lucas.Meh. Informative. The real Henry Lee Lucas was a 5'10 ugly tramp with crooked teeth and dirty hair, not a 6'1 italian model.
4.4/10 - DirectorKiyoshi KurosawaStarsHaruhiko KatôKumiko AsôKoyukiTwo groups of people discover evidence that suggests spirits may be trying to invade the human world through the Internet. It has the ambience, but not the rythm. Still, a good movie.
6.6/10 - DirectorDanny PangOxide Chun PangStarsAngelica LeeChutcha RujinanonLawrence ChouA blind girl gets a cornea transplant so that she will be able to see again. She gets more than she bargained for upon realizing she can also see ghosts. The Sixth Sense meets Final Destination. Interesting story, but a boring execution. It's a slow, pointless, stupid and predictable movie, and with a ridiculous ending. The only good thing was the elevator scene.
5.6/10 - DirectorNobuo NakagawaStarsShigeru AmachiUtako MitsuyaYôichi NumataA group of sinners involved in interconnected tales of murder, revenge, deceit and adultery all meet at the Gates of Hell.Visually stunning, substantially decent.
6.3/10

That day he allows himself to be seduced into a mystical and scary world, where it is impossible to separate truth from the liesReally good. An intriguing and short movie. Repulsion meets Blue Velvet.
6.5/10 - DirectorGaspar NoéStarsPhilippe NahonBlandine LenoirFrankie PainA horse butcher's life and mind begin to break down as he lashes out against various factions of society while attempting to reconnect with his estranged daughter.Intense.
7.0/10 - DirectorTom KalinStarsDaniel SchlachetCraig ChesterRon VawterThe true story of gay lovers, Richard Loeb and Nathan Leopold Jr. Who kidnapped and murdered a child in the early 1920s for kicks. The plot covers the months before the crime, the investigation, trial and final fate of the two men.Meh. Good photography.
6.6/10 - DirectorRidley ScottStarsSusan SarandonGeena DavisHarvey KeitelTwo best friends set out on an adventure, but it soon turns around to a terrifying escape from being hunted by the police, as these two women escape for the crimes they committed.Awesome.
7.5/10 - DirectorGus Van SantStarsRiver PhoenixKeanu ReevesJames RussoTwo best friends living on the streets of Portland as hustlers embark on a journey of self discovery and find their relationship stumbling along the way.Midnight Cowboy meets Easy Rider. Wonderful movie.
7.2/10 - DirectorEli RothStarsKeanu ReevesLorenza IzzoAna de ArmasA devoted husband and father helps two stranded young women who knock on his door, but his kind gesture turns into a dangerous seduction and a deadly game of cat and mouse.Bad, but entertaining.
Next time you, as a married man, help two seemingly forsaken young girls and they sexually harass you to the point you have no other option but to fuck them instead of beating the shit up of them and potentially going to prison, remember: It's your fault! You are a bad husband!
4.8/10 - DirectorNicolas Winding RefnStarsTom HardyKelly AdamsLuing AndrewsA young man who was sentenced to seven years in prison for robbing a post office ends up spending three decades in solitary confinement. During this time, his own personality is supplanted by his alter-ego, Charles Bronson.Interesting.
6.5/10 - DirectorPatty JenkinsStarsCharlize TheronChristina RicciBruce DernBased on the life of Aileen Wuornos, a Daytona Beach prostitute who became a serial killer.Sad.
6.3/10 - DirectorPatty JenkinsStarsGal GadotChris PineKristen WiigDiana must contend with a colleague, and with a businessman whose desire for extreme wealth sends the world down a path of destruction, after an ancient artifact that grants wishes goes missing.Long as fuck and very silly, but I actually liked it. It was a fun/boring watch, if you know what I mean.
5.0/10 - DirectorDarren AronofskyStarsSean GulletteMark MargolisBen ShenkmanA paranoid mathematician searches for a key number that will unlock the universal patterns found in nature.Cool.
6.7/10 - DirectorRichard ShepardStarsMarie MaskellAllison WilliamsChristina JastrzembskaWhen troubled musical prodigy Charlotte seeks out Elizabeth, the new star pupil of her former school, the encounter sends both musicians down a sinister path with shocking consequences.Engaging.
6.3/10 - DirectorM. Night ShyamalanStarsBruce WillisSamuel L. JacksonRobin WrightA man learns something extraordinary about himself after a devastating accident.OK.
6.5/10 - DirectorEli RothStarsJay HernandezDerek RichardsonEythor GudjonssonThree backpackers head to a Slovak city that promises to meet their hedonistic expectations, with no idea of the hell that awaits them.Fun.
5.9/10 - DirectorJim MickleStarsBoyd HolbrookCleopatra ColemanBokeem WoodbineA Philadelphia police officer struggles with a lifelong obsession to track down a mysterious serial killer whose crimes defy explanation. It insists upon itself.
5.8/10 - DirectorPatrick BriceStarsSydney ParkThéodore PellerinAsjha CooperThe graduating class at Osborne High is being targeted by a masked assailant, intent on exposing the darkest secret of each victim, and only a group of misfit outsiders can stop the killings. It was a cool idea making the killer wore masks of his future victims, but the rest... boring. It forces you to like the characters.
4.8/10 - DirectorMichael CacoyannisStarsAnthony QuinnAlan BatesIrene PapasAn uptight English writer travelling to Crete, on a matter of business, finds his life changed forever when he meets the gregarious Alexis Zorba.2 hours and a half about 2 guys talking in a mountain about fucking or not a depressed greek widow it's a fucking insult to the audience. Nicely done and acted, but way too long!
6.6/10 - DirectorAntonio TrashorrasStarsAna de ArmasDiego CadavidLeonor VarelaA young woman spends a night trapped inside a laundromat with a serial killer.Good ideas poorly mixed and executed.
1) Why that PG-13 Torrente style openning if it's a horror movie?
2) Why does the movie title appear 11 minutes after the story is presented to us?
3) Why is Rosa so hesitant to enter the laundry if she hasn't seen anything "suspicious"?
4) Why doesn't the movie explain to us what a corpse is doing in the laundry bathroom that takes even the villain off guard?
5) Why doesn't the villain just smash the laundry windows with a brick or something? It makes even less sense when we are told that the bad guy is a fucking vampire.
6) Where the hell did that junkie come from in the laundry room? What is his purpose in the story?
6) Why doesn't the chick just RUN?
7) Why are the murderous couple vampires? Why? Wasn't it cheaper and more realistic to just make them like that Natural Born Killers couple?
8) Why doesn't the villain attack Rosa and goes out to die to the sun? He throws the whole movie trying to kill her and now that he has her on the ground, he commits suicide?
9) What a fucking coincidence that the sister's body is right up the street when she was home!
10) Why does the now vampire sister attack Rosa if Rosa is also a vampire in theory? In the flashback, the villains do not attack each other when one of them transformed, in addition to the vampires being aware, they are not zombies that attack by attacking.
In short, it is a movie with more holes than a sieve, but that does not mean that it is entertaining to watch, and seeing Ana de Armas is always a pleasure.
3.9/10 - DirectorFernando León de AranoaStarsJavier BardemManolo SoloAlmudena AmorAwaiting a visit by a committee that could give his company an award for excellence, the owner of an industrial scales manufacturing business tries to resolve any problems from his workers in enough time.Well done. The affection put on the film is latent.
7.1/10
- DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsWillem DafoeHarvey KeitelBarbara HersheyThe life of Jesus Christ, his journey through life as he faces the struggles all humans do, and his final temptation on the cross. It's slow. But the ending is so good that it makes up for the viewing.
