Däniken attended a Jesuit boarding school, where his interest in religion also led him to deal with philosophical problems. The high school student was passionate about archaeology and futurology, space travel and molecular biology. After attending school, Däniken trained as a cook and waiter. As such, he initially began working in the hotel industry and in the catering industry in major Swiss cities. His job also took him on ocean liners, on which he crossed the Atlantic as a steward. In 1963, Däniken worked in a large hotel in Nuremberg. From 1964 onward he worked his way to the top of the Davos sports hotel "Rosenhügel" until he finally managed the hotel.
During these years, Däniken continued his scientific and futurological studies, which eventually led him to thesis that there was a prehistoric civilization on Earth that was brought to the planet by the landing of alien astronauts. Däniken tried to prove his assumptions on extensive trips around the world, which, however, mainly caused him financial problems. Apparently through no fault of his own, he came into conflict with the Swiss tax authorities at the end of the 1960s. At the same time, the futurologist triggered the first wave of popularization of his fascinating world of ideas with the publication of his hypotheses as "Memories of the Future" (1968). The bestseller was made into a film in 1969.
In the 1970s, millions of readers around the world devoured the numerous books in which Däniken sought to prove the extraterrestrial origins of human culture and civilization. The "Ancient Astronaut Society" in Chicago, founded in 1973 by the American lawyer Gene M. Phillips, also helped his theses to spread. In the following years, numerous other scientists took part in the scientific discussion of Däniken's theses. Although the tireless publicist continued to publish numerous publications in the 1980s, public attention has now waned. However, with his first books for young people, Däniken regained a recognized place in futurological and science fiction literature at the beginning of the 1990s.
In 1993 he appeared in a 25-part series "In the Footsteps of the All-Mighty" for the private television station SAT.1. The CD-ROM "Contact with the Universe", with which Däniken once again published a summary of his theses in 1995, also represented a concession to the mass appeal of the new media. In 1996 he fascinated the television audience of the private RTL broadcaster with the documentary "Extraterrestrials - Are They Returning?". However, Däniken realized the largest project to spread and popularize his worldview with the 60,000 square meter, EUR80 million expensive "Mysteries of the World" adventure park, which opened in Interlaken, Switzerland, in May 2003. Mystery Park closed on November 19, 2006 due to bankruptcy.
The member of the Swiss Writers' Association and the Swiss PEN Center was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Boliviana in 1975 for his commitment to science journalism. He received further awards from several South American bodies.

Whitley Strieber began his writing career with a pair of modern-Gothic horror novels, The Wolfen (1981) and The Hunger (1983), for which he earned renown as one of the best of the "new wave" of horror writers. Both of these novels were made into films.
In the mid-eighties his novels of nuclear destruction, Warday and Wolf of Shadows, became a New York Times bestseller (co-authored by James Kunetka) and an award winning young-adult novel, respectively. Costa-Gavras was briefly attached to a planned feature film adaptation of Warday.
Whitley Strieber is perhaps best known for the third phase of his career, which began with Communion (1989), an autobiographical account of his experiences with strange alien "visitors" who he says came to his cabin in the New York countryside. This Number 1 New York Times Non-Fiction Bestseller (on the list for 15 weeks) was also turned into a film. He appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson (6 May 1987) to defend his sincerity.
After leaving New York, he returned to the vampire saga that began with The Hunger (1983), adding the novels The Last Vampire and Lilith's Dream to the mythology. When Columbia Pictures' option on The Last Vampire expired, the SciFi Channel considered a mini-series based on the last two novels of the trilogy.
He has written several other thrillers, and two novels about environmental apocalypse, Nature's End and The Coming Global Superstorm. Superstorm served as an inspiration for Fox's The Day After Tomorrow (2004), and Strieber later penned the novelization of that film.
His 2006 novel, The Grays, is a fictional narrative about "an alien presence struggling with humanity for control of the earth" that is, he says, informed by his personal experiences. Sony Pictures secured the film rights, with Ken Nolan writing the treatment.- George Van Tassel was born on 12 March 1910 in Jefferson, Ohio, USA. He was married to Dorris Van Tassel. David Vaughan Icke is an English writer, public speaker, and former media personality best known for his views on what he calls "who and what is really controlling the world". Describing himself as the most controversial speaker and author in the world, he has written 16 books explaining his position, dubbed "New Age conspiracism", and has attracted a substantial following across the political spectrum. His 533-page The Biggest Secret (1999) has been called the conspiracy theorist's Rosetta Stone.
Icke was a well-known BBC television sports presenter and spokesman for the Green Party, when he had an encounter in 1990 with a psychic who told him that he was a healer placed on Earth for a purpose. In April 1991 he announced on the BBC's Terry Wogan show that he was the son of God, and predicted that the world would soon be devastated by tidal waves and earthquakes. The show changed his life, turning him practically overnight from a respected household name into an object of ridicule.
He continued nevertheless to develop his ideas, and in four books published over seven years - The Robots' Rebellion (1994), And the Truth Shall Set You Free (1995), The Biggest Secret (1999), and Children of the Matrix (2001) - set out a moral and political worldview that combines New-Age spiritualism with a passionate denunciation of what he sees as totalitarian trends in the modern world. At the heart of his theories lies the idea that a secret group of reptilian humanoids called the Babylonian Brotherhood controls humanity, and that many prominent figures are reptilian, including George W. Bush, Queen Elizabeth II, Kris Kristofferson, and Boxcar Willie.
Icke has been criticized for arguing that the reptilians were the original authors of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion - a 1903 Russian forgery purporting to be a plan by the Jewish people to achieve world domination - a claim that has attracted the attention of the far right and the suspicion of Jewish groups. Icke strongly denies there is anything antisemitic about this. He was allowed to enter Canada in 1999 only after persuading immigration officials that when he said lizards, he meant lizards, but his books were still removed from the shelves of Indigo Books, a Canadian chain, after protests from the Canadian Jewish Congress.
Icke's problems in Canada became the focus in 2001 of a documentary by British journalist Jon Ronson, David Icke, the Lizards and the Jews.- Actor

George Noory hosts the nationally syndicated program Coast to Coast AM, heard by millions of listeners on more than 600 stations in North America, is the #1 most listened to radio show in the overnight time period, according to Arbitron.
While hosting The Nighthawk, a wildly successful, late-night program on KTRS in St. Louis, George Noory was recruited by Premiere Networks to guest host on Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell. On January 1, 2003, George Noory became the permanent host of the phenomenally successful overnight program, following the retirement of Art Bell. Under Noory's hosting, the show grew significantly.
Noory captivates program listeners with his discussions including paranormal phenomena, time travel, alien abductions, religion, spirituality, conspiracies and all things curious and unexplained. He is driven, he has said, by the desire to solve the great mysteries of our time. From his first days as a radio broadcaster he says, "I've wanted to cover stories that the mainstream media never touch--the unusual, the paranormal and things like that. I learned that broadcast is the best business for exploring these issues, and I've been doing it for years."
He dates his interest in these matters to a book by Walter Sullivan, We Are Not Alone, that his mother gave him when he was 13. He was hooked.
Prior to his late-night show on KTRS, Noory had an extensive broadcast career. He started in radio at WCAR-AM in Detroit, where his first-ever interview was with nuclear physicist and UFO expert Stanton Friedman. From 1974-1978, he served as news producer and executive news producer at WJBK-TV. At age 28, he became the youngest major market news director in the country at KMSP-TV in Minneapolis. Noory was also the director of news planning and development at KSTP-TV in Minneapolis, was news director at KSDK-TV in St. Louis and the recipient of three Emmy Awards while a news executive.
Noory released his first book in 2006. Worker In The Light: Unlock Your Five Senses And Liberate Your Limitless Potential, co-written by best-selling author William J. Birnes, is Noory's revolutionary guide to spiritual enlightenment, human empowerment, ultimate productivity and absolute happiness. Noory and Birnes co-authored a follow-up in 2009 entitled Journey to the Light, in which they present amazing first-hand accounts of how ordinary people changed their own lives, transcended their doubts and fears, and unlocked the secrets to their spiritual growth. In October 2011, Noory released his third book, Talking To The Dead. Co-written by Rosemary Ellen Guiley, a leading expert on the paranormal and supernatural, the book explores the colorful history and personalities behind spirit communications, weaving together spirituality, metaphysics, science and technology. Noory, along with Richard Belzer and David Wayne, released Someone is Hiding Something: What Happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370? in February 2015. Scrutinizing the theories the media and politicians claim are the "most likely" reasons the plane crashed, they argue that if a year after a huge Boeing 777 has gone missing, and there's still no sign of it whatsoever, it's time to think outside the box.
In July, 2016, Noory released Night Talk, a fictional story about a late-night talk-show host who is fascinated by the paranormal and becomes entangled in a deadly conspiracy. His latest work, Mad As Hell, is set for release in June 2017 and discusses the problems facing our country, why Noory is mad about it, and how we could bring about positive change.
In December 2012, GAIAM TV launched Beyond Belief with George Noory, a new TV show exploring the unknown and mysteries of the universe. The one-hour, weekly series features Noory's informative, investigative and dynamic conversations, as well as some of his favorite guests from the radio program. Taped in front of a live audience at GAIAM studios in Boulder, Colo., Beyond Belief with George Noory is available exclusively on http://www.beyondbelief.com/.
When he's not busy hosting his radio show or writing his next book, Noory travels the U.S., meeting with fans at events like Contact in the Desert and the Conscious Life Expo, or his live George Noory & Friends stage shows. Last summer, he launched ParanormalDate.com for people who enjoy the subject matter covered on Coast to Coast AM. A companion site, ConspiracyDate.com, was also recently launched. Both apps are available for free on IOS and Android devices. For more information, please visit www.coasttocoastam.com.
Noory was born, raised and educated in Detroit. He has three children and six grandchildren. He served nine years in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Coast to Coast AM is the most listened to overnight radio program in the USA and is broadcast live, Monday-Sunday from 1-5 a.m. ET.- Jimmy Church is a radio and television host for the Game Changer Network and The History Channel/A&E Networks.
Church is the host of 'FADE to BLACK' on the Game Changer Network and syndicated on KJCR, KUNX, iHeartRADIO, TSL, TuneIn and Spreaker. From 2014-2020, he was a fill-in host on Coast to Coast AM with Premiere Networks and iHeartRADIO.
Jimmy is the producer and co-star of the feature film 'The Observers' and the narrator of the hit film, 'Extraordinary: The Revelations', both released by 1091 Films in 2021.
He co-starred on History Channel's 'Hangar 1: The UFO Files', 'Time Beings', and is host of 'The Unexplained' and 'Breaking Mysterious'. He has also appeared on 'Expedition X' on the Travel Channel and featured in the documentary, 'UFO Coverups: Secrets Revealed'.
FADE to BLACK is a late-night long-form conversation talk-show with a style that is a throwback to the old days of overnight AM radio with hosts like Long John Nebel... open conversation with only the very best and brightest guests covering UFOs, ghosts, lost civilizations, secret governments, agendas, time travel and alternate realities.
