Just two years after acquiring it when it bought 20th Century Fox, Disney has announced it will be closing Blue Sky Animation Studios.

This puts an end to a studio founded 34 years ago with a box office of over $5.9 billion dollars worldwide.

During its history, Blue Sky earned two Best Animated Feature Oscar nominations, as well as one award and two nominations for their shorts.

The studio was working on a film called Nimona, which will never be finished.

Which of the Blue Sky Animation Studios films is your favorite?
