Dan Chisu is the organizer of DaKINO International Film Festival. The oldest film festival in Romania, held every year in Bucharest since 1991.
He made a series of documentaries for television: Around the World in 80 Days (2004), Reality of a Myth - Peruvian Shamans (2007), The Earth's Taste in 80 Spices (2008). He produced and starred in a TV Show called "I Eat, Therefore I Am" which was broadcast four years on a national television.
He also published books: "Alone Under the Shower" (2004) and "The Studio in the Forest of Cranes", "100 Times About", "Stories About Recipes" - 2 volumes.
In 2008 directed his first feature film, "WebSiteStory". An independent production, released in 2010. His second film, "Ursul (The Bear)" released in the spring of 2011. "Si Caii Sunt Verzi pe Pereti (Chasing Rainbows)", his third film, released in November 2012.

Born in 1968, Florin Piersic Jr. is a Romanian actor, director and writer.
His approach to the American theatre embraces a wide range of characters. He translated, directed and performed in 'Dice and Cards' by Sam Henry Kass, 'Opposites Attract' by Bruce Kane, 'Tom and Jerry' by Rick Cleveland, 'Sex Drugs Rock and Roll' by Eric Bogosian, 'Brothers!' by Dave Williams.
In 2015, he won the prize for the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Q.E.D.) at the Gopo Awards (Romanian 'Oscars').
In 2013, he wrote and produced the one-man-show entitled 'Freak Show'. His performance (13 characters) has been acclaimed both by the public and the critics.
Florin Piersic Jr. is the author of the novel 'Romantic Porno' (2011), as well as of the collection of short stories entitled 'Complete Works - Volume One' (2009) and 'Complete Works - Volume Two' (2015).

Radu Jude is a Romanian film director and screenwriter. In 2003, he graduated from the Media University of Bucharest (Film Directing Department). Jude worked as an assistant director on Amen. (2002), directed by Costa-Gavras, and The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (2005), directed by Cristi Puiu. He directed several award-winning short films, among them Lampa cu caciula (2006) - the most successful Romanian short film ever, winner of Grand prizes at Sundance, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Grimstad, Hamburg, Bilbao, Huesca, Trieste, Montpellier, Cottbus, Aspen, IndieLisboa, Brussels, Mediawave, Kraków, Almería, Valencia, Uppsala and many more. Other shorts were selected by top festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand, San Francisco, Cottbus and Oberhausen, where Radu Jude won the Grand Prix. Jude directed over 100 advertising commercials. The Happiest Girl in the World (2009), his feature film debut, won the CICAE Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival, the FIRESCI Prize at the Sofia International Film Festival, the Prize for Best Screenplay at the Bucharest International Film Festival and the FIPRESCI Prize at IndieLisboa. The film was selected in the ACID Programme at 2009 Cannes Film Festival. Everybody in Our Family (2012) received the 'Heart of Sarajevo' Award and the Bayard d'Or in Namur, among other awards. Horatiu Malaele is a Romanian actor and film director born on August 1st 1952 in Targu-Jiu. He graduated the Theater and Cinematography Art Institute in the year 1975. Horatiu Malaele became renowned for his theater plays, which he directed, but also for his characters in Romanian comedy movies. Through his career, he won several awards for his parts in movies like "Tinerete fara batranete", "Sluga la doi stapan", "Muntele", "Eulenspiegel" etc.
Beside his movies and theater plays, Horatiu Malaele took up writing with his auto-biography book "Horatiu despre Malaele" and later, in 2012, publishing the novel "Rataciri" (Wanders).
