Terry Thomas defined the "upper class cad" of British comedy.
by alexanderdavies-99382 | created - 9 months ago | updated - 9 months ago | PublicA highly popular comedian from the mid 1950s to the early 60s, Terry Thomas excelled at the role of the posh, roguish but lovable cad. That character became his stock-in-trade during his career, after having some success on radio. Like Peter Sellers, Thomas became popular in Hollywood for a time. With ill health in later years, Terry Thomas had to retire from show business and move back to England, where he remained until his passing.
