Supergirl Season 5 Ratings
Season Overview:
The first episode, and then episode 4 through 8 was some of the best Supergirl I think I've ever seen. Sadly, post-crisis, the show seemed to lose its footing. For some reason they decided to undo most of the stuff that had happened in the first half of the season so they could just tell the same story again. I really don't like Leviathan.

Definite improvement from the last 2 weeks. Everything was good except for the William-Kara scene at the end. It felt a bit circle-jerky towards Kara. Hopefully the season can maintain this quality, and keep itself together. I honestly thought that "Malefic" was a garbage villain, and i'm thankful that he's been sidelined to the Lena subplot. - DirectorAlysse Leite-RogersStarsMelissa BenoistChyler LeighKatie McGrathOn the eve of the worldwide launch of Andrea Rojas's VR contact lenses, Kara and William team up on an investigation that exposes a terrorist plot. Great intro to crisis. - DirectorTawnia McKiernanStarsMelissa BenoistChyler LeighKatie McGrathThe subsequent complications from the Crisis leave Supergirl to face a chaotic threat.8.5/10
Great. Crisis elements were handled well, and the focus on Brainy hit all the right notes for me. Amazing start for the rest of the season! - DirectorDavid HarewoodStarsMelissa BenoistChyler LeighKatie McGrathWinn Schott returns from the future just as Supergirl is pursuing a Toyman copycat.6/10
I'm torn. Everything in this episode should've been good, but somehow it's less than the sum of its parts. Also, coming into the episode thinking it'd be a two parter like "The Last Temptation of Barry Allen" gave me high hopes. - DirectorAlexis OstranderStarsMelissa BenoistChyler LeighKatie McGrathSupergirl helps Winn overcome his greatest fear; Brainy must choose whether to help Alex find evidence against Lex or continue secretly working for him.7/10
Better than part one. - DirectorJesse WarnStarsMelissa BenoistChyler LeighKatie McGrathMxyzptlk returns with a proposition for Kara; Kara must decide if she wants to change history to become friends with Lena again.8.75/10

I didn't really like it. No particular reason, but I was just bored. I'm not really sure how I feel about post-crisis Supergirl. I really enjoyed the episodes leading up to crisis because of how fast the story was developing, but I feel like after crisis they just hit the undo button on all the cool things that happened and now they are telling the same story again with slight differences. I really dislike the theme of this season, with the whole vr thing. It's just extremely boring to me. - DirectorArmen V. KevorkianStarsMelissa BenoistChyler LeighKatie McGrathNia's roommate is attacked by a man targeting Dreamer; Dreamer refuses to give into men's threats and puts herself in the line of fire to stop him; Alex, J'onn and Kelly attempt to rescue a man stuck inside a virtual reality game.8/10
Solid episode. Nia was a good character and although the social commentary could be more subtle, it was still crafted in a way that made for good television. I didn't really know which of the plots were meant to be the B plot and I still don't. - DirectorTawnia McKiernanStarsMelissa BenoistChyler LeighKatie McGrathAlex uses a pair of Obsidian contact lenses to visit a virtual National City where she takes on a whole new persona. Meanwhile, Kelly helps William investigate Lex. Kara deals with difficult news.7.75/10
Moves the boring main plot along and also has a B plot with the 2 worst characters in the show; Kelly and William. Aside from that, it was a good episode. This show has just really been underwhelming since crisis. I still believe that it's because it undid all of the cool elements from pre-crisis. I doubt that the show will get much better, considering the hectic schedule for season 6 and also the problem of the virus stopping production. - DirectorMelissa BenoistStarsMelissa BenoistChyler LeighKatie McGrathLex proceeds to lay an intricate plan to bring Lena closer to him, defeat Leviathan's latest attack, and pit Supergirl against Leviathan; how Lex came into power after Crisis is revealed.8.75/10
??????????????
Leviathan is the worst villain. The second half of the season has just been weak for Supergirl and Flash; more so for Supergirl. - DirectorAvi YouabianStarsMelissa BenoistChyler LeighKatie McGrathSupergirl and the team go head-to-head against Rama Khan and Leviathan; Lena and Lex must join forces when Project Non Nocere fails, leaving the two siblings in serious danger.8.25/10
Forgettable. I forgot to write this and now it's a week later and I can't remember what happened. - DirectorDavid HarewoodStarsMelissa BenoistChyler LeighKatie McGrathSupergirl realizes that she must work with Lena to stop Lex and Leviathan; Nia struggles with what her dreams are trying to tell her; Brainy realizes there is only one way to stop Lex.8.75/10
For what it was, I feel like this was a good finale.
