HERCULES: THE LEGENDARY JOURNEYS SEASON 5 RATINGS
If I judged this season solely for it's first half, it would certainly be the show's best. If you exclude some missteps, especially the terrible Norwegian event, from the outstanding "Faith" to the superb "Redemption" the Dahak saga (which officially started in early "Xena" s.3) was simply epic. It introduced so many new intriguing and fresh ideas to the series. It also was much more dark and sinister that anything the show had shown us before, like "Xena"s serious eps. Kevin Sorbo and Michael Hurst were never better than here as they were given some incredible bold and tough material to work with. I know we didn't get much Iolaus this season, but what we get was great. Dahak himself is the greatest villain of the show and Morrigan is the best female character the show has introduced after Xena.
The second half, while it surely wasn't bad, brought down a little the season since the eps where as consistently good as the ones of the first half.
Overall rating: 8.7/10
