- The short-haired Mitsushima Hikari was born in Okinawa, which is Japan's southernmost prefecture and mostly occupied by the American military since World War II. Mitsushima's grandmother was French-American. Her siblings are a model, a basketball player and an actor. Hikari began her entertainment career in the band Folder and all-girl Folder 5 between 1997 and 2003. before beginning acting intermittently. She did some gravure modelling. She began taking on consistent acting roles in 2009 with Pride and Sion Sono's exotic Love Exposure. Her performance in Love Exposure won her accolades. Hikari starred in the comedy Sawako Decides (2010), which was written and directed by Yuya Ishii, whom she subsequently married in late 2010. They divorced less than six years later. Tokyo native Komatsu Nana was born in 1996 and began her career starring in a short film, called Tadaima, before immediately graduating to movies like Close Range Love and The World Of Kanako. Prior to these, however, she was a popular account holder on Instagram and a model. As such, it is no surprise that photography is one of Nana's hobbies. Born Fujima Takako in Tokyo in 1977, she found herself in a family of actors and actresses including her kabuki artist father, uncle and brother, a sister who would act in movies and would eventually marry a man from the entertainment industry. Chiaki Kuriyama was born on October 10, 1984 in Tsuchiura, Japan. She was a popular model during Japan's child model boom in the mid-90s. Nana Katase was born on 7 November 1981 in Tokyo, Japan. She is an actress, known for Death Note: The Last Name (2006), 20th Century Boys 1: Beginning of the End (2008) and Arakawa Andâ Za Burijji (2010).- She was born in Iwata, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan on June 3, 1987. Sugiura Asami was only nineteen when she starred in Kiss Me Or Kill Me: Todokanakutemo Aaishiteru. It is safe to say that the former occurred given how she went on to star in various exploitation, adult, gravure and action features. She had opted against attending university after receiving permission from her parents and worked as a waitress, in telemarketing and at a pachinko parlour before being introduced to the movie industry by a friend. It was a role involving taking one's clothes off and she grabbed the opportunity. She was offered a modelling job at an adult magazine and for a studio in 2005. She changed agents twice in 2006. She opted to be simply known as Asami before using her full name in 2008. That did not last. She reverted back to 'Asami' only in 2009. Li Bingbing (born 27 February 1973) is a Chinese actress and singer. She rose to fame with her role in Seventeen Years (1999) and since then received critical acclaim for her roles in A World Without Thieves (2004), Waiting Alone (2005), The Knot (2006), The Forbidden Kingdom (2008), The Message (2009), Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame (2010), and Zhong Kui: Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal (2015). Li has also starred in Hollywood blockbusters Resident Evil: Retribution (2012) and Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014).
Li was born in Wuchang, Heilongjiang. She had no intention of becoming an actress initially and she enrolled specifically in a high school for prospective school teachers. However, upon graduation, she discovered her interest in acting and was eventually persuaded by a friend to join the Shanghai Theatre Academy in 1993.
Li rose to fame after starring in Zhang Yuan's Seventeen Years (1999), which won her the Best Actress Award in the 1999 Singapore Film Festival. In 2001, Li starred in the television series Young Justice Bao, which propelled her to become one of the most famous actresses in China.
Li was subsequently labelled as an "action actress" as she starred in a number of wuxia television series, such as Taiji Prodigy and Eight Heroes.

She played Shangguan Jing'er, a fictional character based off Shangguan Wan'er, a prestigious politician during the Tang Dynasty. She established her studio in the same year, co-starring and co-producing the film 1911 with Jackie Chan, which was released in September 2011 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution.
Li's first-time in an English-language film is Wayne Wang's Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, adapted from Lisa See's 2005 novel of the same title. The film premiered at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. Li started to gain recognition in Hollywood after starring in Resident Evil: Retribution, playing Ada Wong. The same year, she was cast in action fantasy film 400 Boys, directed by British director Alastair Paton.
In 2013, Li attended the 4th Annual US-China Film Summit and received the East-West Talent Award. Hollywood magazine Variety also named her Asian Star of the Year. Charlie Yeung was first cast to star in a jewelry commercial with pop idol Aaron Kwok in 1993, and thus began her versatile career. Versatile and Charismatic, Jun Ji-Hyun is one of the most loved and respected actresses in her homeland of South Korea. She has won numerous accolades, including two Grand Bell Awards for Best Actress and a Baeksang Art Awards Daesang (Grand Prize) for Television. Jun Ji-Hyun's success in film and television has established her as a top Hallyu star. South Korea's Seoul is where Jun was born. Her brother is five years her senior. In 2006, she became popular through her brilliant acting and got signed by the popular independent filmmaker known as Yoon-ki Lee, who cast her in his film Aju teukbyeolhan sonnim (2006). The movie became a success and was listed in festival favorite and brought several honors to the director and of course Han. After her debut, she won the Best New Actor honor at the Korean Association of Film Critics Awards. Her success let her star in two big TV series, Il Ji Mae (2008) and Dong Yi (2010). Both series became hit, and she even achieved good ratings from Korean viewers. Later, she appeared in another indie film known as Dal-lyeo-la ja-jeon-geo (2008) and earned a lot of respect from the series cinema-goers for her performance. In the year 2010, she established her as one of the best mainstream actresses of that year. She played a lead role in the series Shining Inheritance (2009). The series was so hit that it increased the endorsements deals for Han. She even received big drama awards at the South Korean award function. Han appeared as a blind telemarketer in the emotional drama film known as Always (2011) in 2011. Her acting skills went on to open the Busan International Film Festival that year. She played the role of a queen in her next film which was a period action drama Masquerade (2012). The drama series went on to become the highest grossing South Korean film of that time. She had also played an action thriller film Cold Eyes (2013), the film received good response from the critics and slowly became one of the top-grossing films of the year. Han was also awarded as Best Actress awards at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and the Buil Film Awards for her performance. Moreover, she had played many movies including, Miracle: Devil Claus' Love and Magic (2014), The Beauty Inside (2015), Golden Slumber (2018) and many more. She returned to the small screen with series W (2016), an MBC's fantasy suspense alongside actor Lee Jong-suk. She has also achieved and won the Top Excellence award at the 5th APAN Star awards and also MBC Drama Awards for her well performance. Recently, she also starred in the thriller, Golden Slumber (2018) in 2018, with Gang Dong-won. Moreover, she was cast as the female lead in sci-fi action thriller Illang: The Wolf Brigade (2018).
