Scottish actress Kelly Macdonald was born and raised in Glasgow. Her parents divorced when she was young, and she was raised by her mother, a sales executive in the garment industry. She has one brother, David. As a hobby, she acted in an amateur theatrical club, which she enjoyed a great deal. Macdonald was working as a barmaid, when she saw a leaflet for an open casting call for a film. She went along and was cast as Diane in Trainspotting (1996). For this breakout role, she was nominated for a BAFTA Scotland Award and began a highly successful acting career.
Other notable film projects include Stella Does Tricks (1996), Elizabeth (1998), Gosford Park (2001) and No Country for Old Men (2007). She won an Emmy for her role as Gina in The Girl in the Café (2005) and appeared as Helena Ravenclaw in the wildly popular Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). In 2010, she won the role of Margaret Schroeder in Boardwalk Empire (2010).

He recently starred in the Netflix Global drama The Letter for the King (2020) as Sir Fantumar and the HBO/BBC series His Dark Materials (2019). A Perrier Award nominee in 2002 and Edinburgh Comedy Award Panel Prize winner in 2016, Omid has starred in films such as the smash hits Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018), the Oscar nominated Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015), Oscar winning Gladiator (2000), Sex and The City 2, The Mummy and The Infidel. Other films include Mr Nice, Grown Your Own, Over the Hedge, Casanova, Modigliani, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, The Calcium Kid, Anita & Me, Mean Machine and Spy Game. Other notable TV credits include two series of his own BBC One show, The Omid Djalili Show (2007), and a co-starring role in Whoopi Goldberg's NBC sitcom Whoopi. Omid was also part of the 2018 line-up for ITV's We Are Most Amused and Amazed, a televised celebration for The Prince of Wales' 70th birthday. Born Jane Alison Sherman in the Welsh seaside town of Aberystwyth, Jane's performing career began in physical theatre and dance during the early 80's. Training at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, she worked for years with the North Dyfed Dance company in West Wales. Moving to Bath in 1990 she joined the comedy improvisation company More Fool Us with Rob Brydon, Ruth Jones and Julia Davis. It was at this time that she began her writing collaboration with Julia Davis as they devised a two woman comedy character stage show under the name the Sisters of Percy. Jane has continued her writing partnership with Julia, contributing to the series Nighty Night, (creating the long suffering character Cath Cole), Sally4Ever and other of Julia's works. Known for her character acting Jane has appeared in numerous sitcoms, playing Mary Needham in Nick Mohammed's Intelligence, Sally's boss Deborah in Sally4Ever, Dorothy's right hand woman Biddy Ritherfoot in Hunderby as well as appearing in Nighty Night and Human Remains. Jane also plays the monstrous matron in the movie Slaughterhouse Rulez and Sheena in A Fantastic Fear Of Everything. As a singer-songwriter Jane goes under the name Jane Allison and has recorded three albums with Producer Alonza Bevan (Kula Shaker) and still performs live with her band.- Actress
