Born to immigrants in New York City, Lucy Liu has always tried to balance an interest in her cultural heritage with a desire to move beyond a strictly Asian-American experience. Her mother, Cecilia, a biochemist, is from Beijing & her father, Tom Liu, a civil engineer, is from Shanghai. Once relegated to "ethnic" parts, the energetic actress is finally earning her stripes as an across-the-board leading lady.
She graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1986 & enrolled in NYU. However, she was discouraged by the dark and sarcastic atmosphere, so she transferred to the University of Michigan after her freshman year. She graduated w/ a degree in Asian Languages & Cultures, managing to squeeze in some additional training in dance, voice, fine arts & acting. During her senior year, she auditioned for a small part in a production of Alice in Wonderland and walked away with the lead. Encouraged by the experience, she decided to take the plunge into professional acting. She moved to L.A., splitting her time between auditions & food service day jobs. She eventually scored a guest appearance as a waitress on Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990). That performance led to more walk-on parts in shows like NYPD Blue (1993), ER (1994) & The X-Files (1993). In 1996, she was cast as an ambitious college student on Rhea Perlman's ephemeral sitcom Pearl (1996).
She first appeared on the big screen as an ex-girlfriend in Jerry Maguire (1996) (she had previously filmed a scene in the indie Bang (1995), but it was shelved for 2 years). She then waded through a series of supporting parts in small films before landing her big break on Ally McBeal (1997). She initially auditioned for the role of Nelle Porter, which went to Portia de Rossi. However, writer-producer David E. Kelley was so impressed w/ her that he promised to write a part for her in an upcoming episode. The part turned out to be that of growling, ill-tempered lawyer Ling Woo, which she filled w/ such aplomb that she was signed on as a regular cast member.
The "Ally" win gave her film career a much-needed boost-in 1999, she was cast as a dominatrix in the Mel Gibson action flick Payback (1999) & as a hitchhiker in the ill-received boxing saga Play It to the Bone (1999). The following year brought even larger roles: first as the kidnapped Princess Pei Pei in Jackie Chan's western Shanghai Noon (2000), then as one-third of the comely crime-fighting trio in Charlie's Angels (2000).
When she's not hissing at clients or throwing well-coiffed punches, she keeps busy w/ an eclectic mix of off-screen hobbies. She practices the martial art of Kali-Eskrima-Silat (knife-and-stick fighting), skis, rock climbs, rides horses &plays the accordion. In 1993, she exhibited a collection of multimedia art pieces at the Cast Iron Gallery in SoHo (New York), after which she won a grant to study & create art in China. Her hectic schedule doesn't leave much time for romantic intrigue, but she says she prefers to keep that side of her life uncluttered.- Actor

Her early years were spent in the vales of Wiltshire, England, followed by the red rock canyons of the Zambezi river in Africa, but she returned to Singapore after her father's death, when she was six. From the age of seven to seventeen, she watched Singapore transition from an unsophisticated British colony to a prosperous independent nation. After her Chinese mother remarried an American, she attended the Singapore American School.
Excelling in both studies as well as athletics, she competed in field hockey and track. Other pursuits included equestrian activities: dressage, show- jumping, cross country, and polo as well as gaining her license at 15 as an amateur jockey which entitled her to race at Pro Am Meets in both Singapore and Malaysia. Graduating early from school, Nickson left a modeling career in Singapore to attend the University of Hawaii. Although intending to study Hotel Management, while passing the Drama Department, she gate crashed an audition, and won a role in her first play, Shakespeare's, "Winter's Tale." All desire to be in the hotel industry made a prompt departure, and Nickson's stage debut was followed with voice, dance and acting classes and attendant small roles in community theater and on Magnum PI.
In 1984, a search was conducted in New York, Los Angeles and Hawaii for a key role in an upcoming Sylvester Stallone film. After numerous auditions, Ms. Nickson was flown to LA for an old fashioned Hollywood screen test, resulting in her first international film, Rambo: First Blood, Part II, which became the second largest grossing film of 1985. After that, Nickson traveled fast, and in 1990 starred in China Cry, the true story of evangelist, Nora Lam, the young girl who risked her life to defend her faith during the Communist Revolution. Theatre critic Joyce McMillan wrote that Henwick was "outstanding as Leo".

Mary Christina Brown is an American actress with an eclectic performing arts background. Her years have culminated her into a genuine, experienced, and versatile acting talent. Her father's mixture of Scottish, English, Danish, Welsh, Irish, and Dutch heritage, coupled with her mother's blend of South Korean and Japanese ethnicities, along with her stepmother's Filipino, Chinese, and Spanish influences, indeed creates Brown's dynamically alluring screen presence of worldly culture.
Gracefully educated with foundational values of the ethnic spectrum, Mary Christina has proven herself to be a professional cultural chameleon. With transient beginnings common to being born into a military family, her nationally traveling tribe eventually settled in San Francisco.
Raised in a talented warrior home, passion for the arts was inevitable from the age of seven, foreseeing a journey that would enact her vocation in acting, voice, dance, martial arts, and performing on stage throughout San Francisco, as well as booking commercials and modeling for print ad campaigns. Identity discovery in her early teen years revealed an inherent competitive drive, advancing her interest in a wide range of martial arts styles to date. She didn't stop there either, eventually adding theater, classical vocal and instrumental training, and professional dance in different styles such as tap, jazz, modern, ballet, hip-hop, and traditional Hawaiian and Tahitian.
Mary Christina's late and post-teen years saw further evolution performing on stages around San Francisco and attended a raft of performing art schools (Young People's Musical Theater Company, A.C.T. Conservatory, School of the Arts High School, and Bennett Theatre Lab, to name a few). Her creative path became clearer to a full commitment; visions of performing on Broadway were within a reachable distance. Ultimately, life had an alternative plan. The blessing of motherhood arrived sooner with the arrival of her beautiful daughter, Isabella, and with it, a surge forward in dynamic professional action beyond previous-set goals.
Mary Christina revisited her experience and education in Silicon Valley's growing Information Technology field. Albeit prosperous and professionally stable, her passion rested with performing, and through the strength and support of her family, she relocated to Los Angeles to explore entertainment opportunities. Knowing the struggle of family, auditions, sustainable employment, and maintaining marketable proficiency in her performance and martial arts training, she persisted.
Seasoned from balancing between motherhood and corporate, she reclaimed her performance stride, cutting her teeth on BOTH sides of the camera. Her career progression has since landed her next to the likes of The Walking Dead headliner Norman Reedus, martial arts action star Michael Jai White, Bokeem Woodbine, John David Washington, Luke Goss, Russell Crowe, Steven Bauer, music and movie multi-hyphenate R.Z.A., Corin Nemic, Udo Kier, Julian Sands, Peter Greene, Taryn Manning, Jake Weber, the late film and television legend David Carradine, and the Academy Award-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss.
Her film and T.V. roles invoke a wide range of depth and scope in her acting caliber with select credits such as that of undercover agent Monica in the American crime thriller "AWOL 72" (2015), Barrington's Henchwoman Swan in HBO's pulse-pounding action film "Vigilante Diaries" (2016), Fasma, a Special Forces soldier in the SyFy television feature thriller "MindBlown" (2016), Kana, a Yakuza hitwoman whose centuries-old Samurai lineage has since destined her with a longstanding duty to protect the world from the evil power of the sought after Japanese doomsday stone in SyFy / Lionsgate "Doomsday Device" (2017) (a.k.a. Pandora's Box).
Mary Christina plays Kioko, a free-spirited burner from Joshua Tree, in the American crime thriller "Paydirt" (2020), which stars Val Kilmer and Luke Goss. She plays the role of Jan in "Karen" (2021), an Asian American woman living in the fictional affluent suburban Atlanta community of Harvey Hill. She is part of the HOA - a nosy neighbor living next door to a closeted racist woman named Karen, played by Taryn Manning; it also stars Cory Hardrict and Jasmine Burke. Mary Christina also plays the role of Kim, a deputy sheriff who sets out to find the missing girls who vanished in her small town in the desert. While uncovering information and in pursuit, she crosses paths with an ex-Black Ops soldier, played by Paul Sloan, desperate to find his missing daughter and uncover what happened the night she disappeared. Kim discovers that his daughter vanished just like the other lost girls; she helps him uncover the truth in the American action thriller film "Every Last One of Them" (2021), which also stars Jake Weber, Taryn Manning, Mike Hatton, Michael Madsen, and Richard Dreyfuss.
Collectively, along with characters such as that of a henchwoman, raver, courtesan, martial arts master, troubled mother, and burlesque dancer, that very depth and scope she has earned, in part, hails from playing roles generally meant for men (i.e., special-ops soldier, enigmatic minimalist vengeful swordswoman, international undercover special agent, lieutenant).
Mary Christina worked internationally on Star World Asia's longest-running reality competition television show, The Apartment, on Netflix. On social media, she maintains a fan following via Instagram at @themarychristinabrown with posts that gravitate to audiences, aiming not only to interact but to motivate and inspire.
More than the average face, set of legs, and perfunctory memes popular in today's societal currents, Mary Christina is as real as real gets and the quintessential sum of her life story. She's far from intangible and materialistic in her day-to-day life, with a proven acumen for health and concerns for today's important issues, valuing insight in all things healthy for one's own growth on a spiritual and humanistic level.
She's a mother, an animal lover, a daughter, a friend and confidant to a deserving few, and a progressive, motivational figure to many. Her craft is further amplified by all aforementioned, having attained an array of values and qualities that deem her vital to any director or showrunner in search of a diverse, professional, mature, and organic performer - all of which she provenly and continually demonstrates time and again.
Mary Christina Brown lives in Los Angeles, practices yoga, voice, guitar, and piano, trains in different martial arts styles, and loves spending time with her dogs, Peanut and Chikara --especially at the beach. She also enjoys hiking, the great outdoors, and running- Jackie Dallas is a Korean-American television and film actress. No longer a confident kid in school, she had few close friends and studied hard in all her classes. She became a nerd throughout junior high and into high school. Like many, high school was the least favorite part of her life. She was a nerd with no sense of style, was painfully shy, and had strict parents that never let her out.
The biggest change in her life came the second she graduated high school and went to attend college at UCSD. She originally majored in biology because she had an interest in becoming a plastic surgeon. She ended up with an economics degree because it was the closest thing to a business degree that UCLA has just to have a generic degree to fall back on. She never intends to use that degree. Its more of a backup plan incase her career didn't go though. For the first time in her life, she felt free and far away from her strict parents! She finally overcame her shyness and partied like crazy. She always had a desire to pursue a career in the entertainment business. She realized that she needed to be in Los Angeles to pursue modeling and singing so she immediately transferred to UCLA. It was hard breaking into the industry. Kaila met lots of shady characters and con artists along the way. Kaila, being a self motivated individual had to learn to build her website on her own by reading HTML for Dummies!! She eventually got her website up and running. She got noticed by the Import industry and Playboy Magazine and finally got to follow her dream. She gained popularity through modeling in import car shows and became a full time model, working the Import Car show scene and won the title of "Most Searched Import Model.". Kaila has been featured in several magazines including Import Tuner, Playboy, and FHM. Kaila has achieved everything that she hoped for in modeling, now her heart is completely focused on music now. She knows the road is going to be a lot tougher than the modeling industry but that's not enough to stop her from pursuing her dreams.
She has a site up dedicated to her music and released her first self-titled album, "Kaila" in 2003.
With her supermodel looks, Kaila would also seem that she wouldn't leave the house unless she looked like she just stepped off the pages of Vogue. However, she chooses not to view herself as a model. As a "triple-threat" model, actress, and singer, her work includes gracing the pages of Playboy, as well as being in fashion spreads and calendars like the "Pacific USA 2001 Calendar," and even releasing her own calendar in 2003. She's made appearances in such TV shows as "MTV's House if Style," and "The Man Show," and on major networks like E!, USA, Playboy TV. Kaila Yu can also be seen in music videos, international television and films, such as "Three Sisters" and "Toilet Stories."- Actress

Born into a family of doctors and educated in China at the Shanghai Film Academy and the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Languages, Joan Chen was discovered by veteran Chinese director Jin Xie while observing a filming with a school group. Her performance in Xiao hua (1979) (A.K.A. "The Little Flower") won China's Best Actress award, and resulted in the Chinese press dubbing her "The Elizabeth Taylor of China" for having achieved top stardom while still in her teen years. She came to the U.S. to attend college in 1981, first at the State University of New York at New Paltz, later at California State University at Northridge. She a succession of small parts in movies and T.V., with her first break coming in 1986 when, in true Hollywood legend, producer Dino De Laurentiis noticed her in the parking lot of Lorimar Studios and cast her in Tai-Pan (1986). The film bombed, but it led to her being cast as the ill-fated Empress in Bernardo Bertolucci's The Last Emperor (1987), which won critical acclaim. This, and her role as enigmatic mill owner Josie Packard in the cult TV series Twin Peaks (1990), are her best-known roles in Europe and North America. However, Hollywood's practice of type-casting East Asians has led to a dearth of major roles for Chen since then, and in recent roles, she has often been cast as a villainess.
After taking a few years off to start a family, Joan returned to the screen in important supporting roles playing women in early middle age, such as the mother of a principle adult character. As a result, her career is flourishing again on both sides of the Pacific. Her two directing efforts were well-received critically, and in a 2008 interview she revealed she planned to direct again but was putting that off until her daughters were grown, since directing took her away from them too much, whereas acting could be done on a part-time basis.- Actress

Moon Bloodgood was born on 20 September 1975 in Alliance, Nebraska, USA. She is an actress, known for Terminator Salvation (2009), Faster (2010) and The Sessions (2012). She was previously married to Grady Hall.- Pom Klementieff (born 3 May 1986) is a French actress. She was trained at the Cours Florent drama school in Paris and has appeared in such films as Loup (2009), Sleepless Night (2011) and Hacker's Game (2015). She plays the role of Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Pom Klementieff was born in Quebec City, Canada, to a Korean mother and French-Russian father, who was working there as a consul with the French government. Her grandfather was painter Eugène Klementieff. Her parents chose the name "Pom" because it is similar in pronunciation to the Korean words for both "spring" and "tiger". Klementieff lived in Canada for one year before her family traveled extensively due to her father's job. They lived in Japan and the Ivory Coast, before settling in France.
Klementieff's father died of cancer when she was 5, and her mother had schizophrenia and was unable to care for children, so Klementieff was raised by her paternal uncle and aunt. Her uncle, whom she described as "like [her] second father", died on her 18th birthday, and her older brother committed suicide just seven years later, this time on her 25th birthday. Klementieff briefly attended law school after her uncle's death to appease her aunt but did not find the career path appealing. She also worked as a waitress and saleswoman in France. She started acting at age 19 at the Cours Florent drama school in Paris. A few months into her education, she won a theater competition that awarded her free classes for two years with the school's top teachers.
Klementieff's first professional acting job was the French independent film Après lui (2007), portraying the stepdaughter of the protagonist played by Catherine Deneuve. Filming for her scenes took three days. During one scene, Klementieff was supposed to push someone down a set of stairs but accidentally fell down the stairs herself, and director Gaël Morel kept that shot in the final film. Her first leading role was in Loup (2009), a French film about a tribe of reindeer herders in the Siberian mountains. During filming, Klementieff stayed in a camp, hours from the nearest village, where temperatures dropped well below zero. During filming she befriended nomads who lived there, worked with real wolves, rode reindeer, and swam with a horse in a lake.
Klementieff made her Hollywood debut in Spike Lee's Oldboy (2013), a remake of the South Korean film of the same name. She portrayed Haeng-Bok, the bodyguard of the antagonist played by Sharlto Copley. A fan of the original film, Klementieff heard about the part through Roy Lee, a producer with the remake, and took boxing lessons after learning the role involved martial arts. After showcasing her boxing skills during her audition, Lee asked her to go home and come back wearing a more feminine outfit and make-up, like her character in the film. She contributed some of her own clothes to the character's wardrobe, and trained three hours a day for two months for an on-screen fight with star Josh Brolin. Klementieff came up with the name Haeng-Bok, Korean for "happiness", herself after Lee asked her to research possible names for the character.
Klementieff moved to Los Angeles after Oldboy was filmed and began pursuing more Hollywood auditions. She continued taekwondo after the film, and has a purple belt as of the summer of 2014. Her next acting role was the film Hacker's Game (2015), in which she plays a hacker she compared to Lisbeth Salander from the novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Klementieff used her boxing skills again in the film, and due to the movie's low budget, she had to do her own make-up and choose her own wardrobe. It was her idea to dye her hair purple for the role, to which the directors first objected but later acquiesced. She joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the role of Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) and appeared in the same role in the film Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). - Melissa Paulo was born on 25 November 1985 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
