Although she was presented in 1969 the first Film Star of Tomorrow by The Motion Picture Exhibitors of Canada, the status of Sharon Acker as a star never materialized. Not that she was inactive, quite the opposite, but she worked almost only for TV and appeared only in a few undistinguished movies. She will, nevertheless, remain remembered for her role as Lee Marvin's ex-wife in John Boorman's classic Point Blank (1967). The victim of Marvin's rough manners, Acker as Lynne left a deep impact on male brains. Born in 1935, the Canadian-born actress started her film career in England when the play she was in, "Lucky Jim", Kingsley Amis' classic, was made into a movie. But she was not seen in many movies, except during the sixties, either in Canada or in the U.S. Meanwhile, she was very active on TV, first in Canada from the age of 19, then in the U.S. in made-for-TV movies or series like Star Trek (1966), Mission: Impossible (1966), Gunsmoke (1955), Marcus Welby, M.D. (1969), Barnaby Jones (1973), etc. She was a regular in the series The Bold Ones: The Senator (1970) for one year and played "Della Street" in the short-lived The New Perry Mason (1973). A talented actress seen too little in movie theaters.Flamingo Road

Along with his sister, Robbie Amell started acting when he was just six years old. At sixteen, he started to land theater roles at Lawrence Park Stage in plays such as Louis and Dave, Picasso at the Lapin Agile and The Importance of Being Earnest. The experience brought Robbie to realize that he wanted to pursue a career in acting. Shortly after choosing to follow acting, he booked the part of Daniel Murtaugh in the major motion picture Cheaper by the Dozen 2, headed by names such as Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, Hilary Duff, Tom Welling and - of whom he played the son - Eugene Levy and Carmen Electra.
Robbie was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Jo (Burden) and Rob Amell, who work in custom jewelry. His first cousin is actor Stephen Amell. As it seems is the habit of Canadians, Robbie has played hockey since he was a child. He also takes Muay Thai and break dancing lessons.Pretty Little Liars

Stephen Amell is a Canadian actor, known for portraying Oliver Queen / Green Arrow in the Arrowverse television franchise (based on the comic character of the same name) and Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016).
Stephen Adam Amell was born on May 8, 1981 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Sandra (Bolté) and Thomas Amell. His cousin is actor Robbie Amell. He is of English, Scottish, German, and one sixteenth French-Canadian, descent. Stephen decided to pursue a career in acting when he was in his teens. He appeared in two episodes of the fourth season of Queer as Folk as the Liberty Ride spinning instructor in 2004. Amell played Adam in the first season of the television series Dante's Cove; he was replaced in the second season by Jon Fleming. In 2007, Amell won a Gemini Award for his guest-starring role on ReGenesis. The same year he was also nominated for a Gemini Award in the Best Ensemble Cast Category for Rent-a-Goalie. He had recurring roles in the TV series Da Kink in My Hair and Heartland. On December 3, 2010, Amell joined the cast of The Vampire Diaries as werewolf 'Brady' for season 2. Amell starred as Joran Van Der Sloot in the Lifetime film Justice for Natalee Holloway which originally aired in May 2011.
On October 2, 2011, season 3 of HBO's series Hung premiered with Amell starring as busboy-turned-prostitute Jason, a younger rival "ho" to Thomas Jane's Ray Drecker. He also appeared as Jim in the fourth season of 90210. Amell announced on October 28, 2011 that he had just finished filming the Christmas episode of New Girl with Zooey Deschanel and Max Greenfield. He touches on the experience of filming his first "network half hour comedy" in an interview with Daemon's TV. On November 9, 2011, Amell was announced for the recurring role of Scottie, a paramedic on ABC's Private Practice. He also plays the role of Travis in Blue Mountain State In January 2012, Amell was cast as the title character in The CW series Arrow, a re-imagining of the comic-book character Green Arrow. On March 31, 2015, Amell joined the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows as vigilante Casey Jones, which will be released on June 3, 2016. As an avid professional wrestling fan, Amell had long campaigned for a guest appearance on WWE's weekly Raw program, when in late May 2015 it was reported that he was tentatively set to wrestle Stardust at WWE's SummerSlam pay-per-view on August 23, 2015. Amell made his first WWE appearance on the May 25 Raw, where he had a confrontation with Stardust. However, after the real-life death of Stardust's father Dusty Rhodes in June 2015, reports speculated that the match had been scrapped. Despite this, Amell stated at the 2015 Comic Con International in July 2015, "I'm probably gonna do some stuff with the WWE. I don't know if that means a wrestling match. We'll see."
Amell returned to Raw on August 10, continuing his story-line with Stardust when he stepped into the ring after being assaulted in the audience by Stardust, attacking the wrestler until being contained by security. Following a backstage segment with Triple H, it was announced that Neville would team with Amell to face Stardust and King Barrett at SummerSlam. At the event on August 23, Amell and Neville defeated Barrett and Stardust in a tag team match. Neville and Barrett started and after Neville used his speed to control the action, Barrett tagged in Stardust. Stardust insisted that Amell enter the ring, a challenge accepted in a way that both imitated and bettered Stardust's own athletic ring entrance. Stardust first pushed Amell to the canvas, Amell then responded with a kip-up and a stiff front thrust kick to Stardust's chest. For the next few minutes Amell was controlled by Stardust and Barrett, and absorbed punches, kicks, knees, slams, falls from ring to floor, and an attack on the floor by the non-legal man, Stardust. Upon returning to the ring, and hitting Stardust with an Enzuigiri, Amell made a hot tag to Neville, who dominated both opponents. The conclusion of the match came after Amell dove off the top corner ropes onto Stardust and Barrett who were standing on the floor below. The match ended after Neville hit his finisher, the Red Arrow, on Barrett and pinned him. Behind the scenes, wrestlers were said to have been impressed with Amell's performance. There were also talks of a potential singles match with Stardust. On December 21, Amell was awarded a Slammy for the "Celebrity Moment of the Year" for his dive onto Stardust.
Amell has hosted a number of successful fund-raising campaigns via the crowd funded merchandise platform Represent.com. In 2014, Amell partnered with the charity Fuck Cancer to raise almost a million dollars with the release of a T-shirt featuring his face on the front (with a Post-it note on his forehead, and featuring the organization's name). He ended up selling over 60,000 shirts from this campaign. In January 2015, Amell launched his second Represent.com campaign featuring a word he made up, Sinceriously, to benefit two mental health charities: Paws and Stripes, and Stand For The Silent. In August 2015, Amell used his guest appearance on WWE Raw with Stardust to raise funds via his third campaign for children's hospice Emily's House in Toronto. The campaign raised $300,000, and Amell and Stardust presented a check together at Emily's House.
Amell married actress and model 'Cassandra Jean' on December 25, 2012 in a private ceremony in the Caribbean, and for a second time in New Orleans on May 26, 2013. The couple have a daughter, Mavi, born in 2013. Growing up, Amell was a fan of various local sporting teams, such as the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Blue Jays. Amell is still very involved with the sports; he often jokes with fans telling them to skip Maple Leafs games and watch Arrow when the team faces a tough opponent, and recently, Amell campaigned to have Jays' third baseman Josh Donaldson elected to the 2015 all-star game.Queer As Folk (2000)

Matthew Nile Ashford was born on January 29, 1960, in the town of Davenport, Iowa. He is the third youngest [youngest boy] of eight kids. He has four brothers and 3 sisters, and in descending order their names are: Dave [6/4], Jeff [6/4], Phil [10/1], Teresa [4/16], Randy [8/9], Matt [1/29], Susie [3/13], and Sally [9/16]. When he was 12 years old, his sisters took him to auditions for a local play, and it was there that he was bitten by the acting bug. A year later, the family moved to Fairfax, VA, where Matthew attended Hayfield High and continued to involve himself in local theatre as well as school productions. After graduation, Matthew attended the highly accredited North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. During the summer months, he and a friend worked as street performers in Myrtle Beach, SC doing mime, magic, juggling, improv. Eventually, he joined the Ragamuffin Magic & Mime Company where he earned his first professional paycheck. Soon after graduating from NC School of the Arts, in 1982, with a B.F.A. in Theatre, he followed his star to New York City; it was full of opportunities, and it was still only a train ride from mom. Matthew was not in town long before he was put under contract by ABC and cast as Drew Ralston on One Life to Live (1968) (1982-83). Sadly, Drew was killed in a flower shop on the eve of his wedding. After his year on OLTL, Matt toured with a troupe performing "Member of the Wedding," which soon led to his second soap, Search for Tomorrow (1951). Matt played Cagney McCleary, with brothers David Forsyth and 'Jeff Meek', from 1983 until the show was canceled in December of 1986. Matt quickly made the role of "Jack" his own and won several awards for his portrayal of the popular Days' character including Soap Opera Digest's Best Villain in 1989, a Super Couple (1991) and Best Wedding (1992) award with Melissa Reeves, as well as the Best Comedic Performance award in 1992. Strangely, the birth of Matthew and Christina's daughter Grace seemed to coincide with the birth of Jack's television daughter, Abigail. Little Grace was born on June 15, 1992. Matt left Days of Our Lives (1965) within the following year, in September of 1993, after six years as Jack Deveraux. He remains the only true "Jack" in the hearts of many. In 1997, he and his wife Grace had a second child -- a daughter Emma. During his time off from the soaps, Matt took the opportunity to get involved with live theatre again. He joined the prestigious Interact Theatre Company, headed by former co-star Marilyn McIntyre (ex-Jo Days). He remains active in the troupe, despite his daytime schedule. One Life To Live

Julian Bailey is a Canadian film, television, and voice actor. During his youth in Montreal, Canada, Bailey was cast in a CBC television movie before going on to lend his voice to beloved animated characters, Pepito, in the original 'Madeline' specials for HBO (with Christopher Plummer), and Mowgli, from popular anime 'The Jungle Book' series, among many others.
After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (West), in Pasadena, California, Bailey moved to Chicago, Illinois, becoming involved in the local theatre scene and performing in a series of critically acclaimed productions. Bailey is an original member of The Piven Theatre Workshop Subscription Company, in Evanston, Illinois, where he was trained and mentored by Byrne and Joyce Piven (parents of actor, Jeremy Piven). After getting his SAG card in Chicago, Bailey returned to the Los Angeles area, where he auditioned without a booking for two years, while living out of his car; to make ends meet, Julian sold salads and sandwiches door to door at hair salons in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills and dressed up as characters for kids' parties across Southern California. Bailey eventually joined a stand up comedy workshop run by legendary comedy coach, Greg Dean, and was subsequently discovered by a talent agent at The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip during a showcase performance.
Bailey went on to book a regular recurring role in the Lifetime Television series, 'For The People', in which he acted alongside Lea Thompson ('Back To The Future'). The show was canceled following its first season, and Bailey went back to doing various odd jobs, including the mobile lunch business and kids parties, as well as window cleaning, chauffeuring, and craft services on film sets, while still landing roles on shows like 'Judging Amy', 'Just Shoot Me', 'JAG', and 'The Young and The Restless', to name a few. A guest spot on the hit show, 'NCIS', earned Bailey fans around the world for his portrayal of a sociopathic young naval officer, and the actor would go on to appear in major motion pictures, such as 'Dark Phoenix' (with Jennifer Lawrence), and 'French Exit' (with Michelle Pheiffer). Bailey starred in the comedy feature film 'Meeting Spencer' (with Jesse Plemons and directed by the late BAFTA award winning director, Malcolm Mowbray), turned heads in the slasher flick 'He's Out There There' (with Yvonne Strahovski), and faced off with Jesse Eisenberg in the drama, 'The Hummingbird Project'. A career breakthrough came in 2021 when Bailey was cast in Amazon Prime Video's 'Three Pines', in which he starred alongside Alfred Molina, as part of a dynamic ensemble cast. The actor broke into video games with titles like 'Far Cry 5', 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided', and 'The Division: Warlords of New York'. Notably, Bailey provides the lead voice (HQ) of the massive international hit, 'Rainbow Six: Siege', one of Ubisoft's most successful video game franchises in history, boasting more than 70 million registered players worldwide. Bailey has voiced several foreign films and television series for Netflix, including the title character for the English version of the globally popular Korean series, 'Vincenzo'.The Young And The Restless- Actor

Usually sized up as an erudite gent, advice-spouting father or uptight, pompous neighbor, the acting talents of Conrad Bain were best utilized on stage and on TV. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, on February 4, 1923, Conrad Stafford Bain was a twin son (the other was named Bonar) born to Stafford Harrison Bain, a wholesaler, and Jean Agnes (née Young). He enjoyed Canadian sports growing up (ice hockey, speed skating), but picked up an interest in acting while in high school.
Electing to train at Alberta's Banff School of Fine Arts after graduating, he met Monica Marjorie Sloan, an artist, while there. His acting pursuit was interrupted by WWII when he subsequently joined the Canadian army. Picking up here he left off following his discharge, he studied at New York's American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He also married Ms. Sloan in 1945 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen the following year. The couple went on to have three children -- Jennifer, Mark and Kent.
Making his stage debut in a Connecticut production of "Dear Ruth" in 1947, Bain also appeared in "Jack and the Beanstalk" and a tour of "The Barretts of Wimpole Street" before making his off-Broadway debut in a 1956 Circle-in-the-Square revival of Eugene O'Neill's "The Iceman Cometh," a production that made a star out of Jason Robards. Following an inauspicious Broadway bow in "Sixth Finger in a Five Finger Glove", which closed after only one day, he joined the Stratford (Ontario) Shakespeare Festival for their 1958 season, appearing in "A Winter's Tale," "Much Ado About Nothing" and "Henry IV, Part I."
Fair in complexion and exceedingly genial in demeanor, the wry and witty blond actor graduated into other Broadway work, particularly drama, with strong roles in "Candide," "Advise and Consent," "An Enemy of the People," "Twigs" and "Uncle Vanya." He also built up his regional and repertory credits during the early 1960s with parts in "King Lear," "The Firebugs," "Death of a Salesman" and "The Shadow of Heroes" at Seattle Rep. Later in the decade he began to focus more intently on TV, usually playing cerebral, white-collar types (district attorneys, stock brokers, doctors, politicos).
Bain eventually found an "in" with daytime drama, which included a recurring role on Dark Shadows (1966) (as an innkeeper), and a part on The Edge of Night (1956) in 1970. He broke completely away, however, from his trademark dramatics when the 49-year-old actor was "discovered" for prime-time TV by Norman Lear and offered a supporting role opposite Bea Arthur and Bill Macy in Norman Lear's landmark, liberally-sliced comedy series Maude (1972), a spin-off of Lear's equally landmark All in the Family (1971) sitcom. Conrad was cast as Rue McClanahan's stuffy, conservative doctor/husband, Arthur Harmon, who usually was at political odds with free-wheeling feminist Maude Finlay.
The role moved Bain into the prime TV comedy character ranks. Following the show's lengthy run (1972-1978), he was given the green light by Lear to move into his own comedy series with Diff'rent Strokes (1978) as the wealthy father of a girl and adoptive father of two African-American children. While young Gary Coleman, the compact, precocious, mouthy dynamo, may have stolen the show, the good-humored Bain remained a strong center and voice of reason until the show's demise in 1986. Three was not a charm when Bain went into a third new comedy series, Mr. President (1987), with Conrad as a loyal aide-de-camp to "President" George C. Scott. The show, created not by Lear but by Johnny Carson, lasted only 24 episodes.
During and after his lengthy 70s and 80s TV success, Conrad would continue to return to his first love, the stage, in such productions as "Uncle Vanya," "The Owl and the Pussycat," "On Golden Pond," "The Dining Room" and "On Borrowed Time", the last being a 1992 return to Broadway after nearly two decades. Films, on the other hand, were a non-issue at this point. Earlier minor turns included Clint Eastwood's Coogan's Bluff (1968), Gene Hackman's I Never Sang for My Father (1970), Woody Allen's Bananas (1971), Sean Connery's The Anderson Tapes (1971) and Barbra Streisand's Up the Sandbox (1972). His last stop in films was an engaging part as a befuddled grandpa opposite the perennially crusty Mary Wickes in Postcards from the Edge (1990) starring Meryl Streep and Shirley MacLaine. One of Bain's last on-camera appearances was recreating his Phillip Drummond role from Diff'rent Strokes (1978) on a 1996 episode of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".
Other than a stage role in "Ancestral Voices" in 2000, Conrad turned for a time to screen-writing but later comfortably retired to the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. Moving to a Livermore California retirement home in 2008, wife Monica died a year later. Bain passed away there quietly of natural causes on January 14, 2013, less than a month short of his 90th birthday. His twin brother Bonar died in 2005.Dark Shadows (1966)

She frequently portrayed eccentric elderly women and good-hearted grandmothers in all kinds of pictures and television programs. Frances acted several times for David Lynch: she's Kyle MacLachlan's sweet doddery aunt in Blue Velvet (1986), a gruff, profane whorehouse madam in Wild at Heart (1990), and the spooky Mrs. Tremond in the cult TV series Twin Peaks (1990) and its spin-off feature Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992). Frances popped up in two movies for director Stuart Gordon: she's a kind witch in The Pit and the Pendulum (1991) and a fortune teller in Edmond (2005).
Other notable film roles include a snippy librarian in The Attic (1980), a mysterious blind nun in the offbeat Nomads (1986), another librarian in In the Mouth of Madness (1994), and Adam Sandler's loving grandmother in the hit comedy Happy Gilmore (1996). Frances had the unique distinction of guesting on the final episodes of the TV shows Happy Days (1974), Who's the Boss? (1984), and Seinfeld (1989).
Among the many TV series Bay had guest spots on are Charmed (1998), ER (1994), Matlock (1986), The X-Files (1993), Murder, She Wrote (1984), The Commish (1991), L.A. Law (1986), Hill Street Blues (1981), Touched by an Angel (1994), The Golden Girls (1985), and Amazing Stories (1985).
She won a Gemini Award for her performance in the Disney TV program Avonlea (1990). Frances was also in the music video for Jimmy Fallon's "Idiot Boyfriend." In addition to her substantial movie and TV credits, Bay also acted in both Off-Broadway stage productions and regional theater; these plays include "Finnegan's Wake," "Grease," "Genuis," "The Caucasion Chalk Circle," "Number Our Days," "Uncommon Women," "Sarcophagus," and "The Pleasure of His Company." Frances won two DramaLogue Awards and was nominated for a Los Angeles Dramatic Critics' Award.
In 2002 Bay was the unfortunate victim of an automobile accident which resulted in having part of her right leg amputated. Her husband Charles sadly died in 2002 as well.

Neal Bledsoe is an actor and writer who grew up in Seattle, but for some reason the internet thinks he's from Canada. That's nonsense, he was only born there. He was named after the Beat Generation hero, Neal Cassady, and a car thief his father knew. He's been a Seahawks fan longer than it's been fashionable, but has almost given up on the Mariners. On screen, he's played everything from an Old Spice Man to flying Nazis to hot food truck chefs, and recently can be seen on the show Shameless, shamelessly flouting his white privilege. Speaking of which, one time he was paid to be a model in a Tiffany's ad with the Dutch supermodel, Doutzen. Those were the days... You might have also read his series for Sports Illustrated, The Delicate Moron, about his attempt to play professional football with the LA KISS, the Arena League team once owned by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. His career highlight so far was when Gene said he was, "a very attractive man of great sexual power." Beyond that he's published work in Men's Health and several fine literary journals that no one ever reads. He also has a dog named Pirate who probably has more Instagram followers than you do.As The World Turns

- Lloyd Bochner had that wonderfully sonorous type of voice that was always tailor-made for radio or for the stage. Unsurprisingly then, by the time he was eleven, Lloyd was already employed as part-time voiceover artist and reader of drama serials by radio stations in Vancouver.
Lloyd Wolfe Bochner was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Frieda (Kenen) and Charles Abraham Bochner. He was of Russian Jewish and Ukrainian Jewish descent. He made his acting debut as a youth with the Joseph Barrington Juveniles. Lloyd's education at the University of Toronto was interrupted in 1943 by wartime service in the Royal Canadian Navy. However, in 1947, he graduated with a B.A. and a few years later moved to New York to further hone his acting skills. In 1953, he returned to Canada to participate in the inaugural season of the Stratford Festival getting to enact choice Shakespearean roles from Horatio in "Hamlet" to Orsino in "Twelfth Night".
Having made his screen bow in a small Canadian production, The Mapleville Story (1946), Lloyd's first significant exposure in television was as British army officer Nicholas Lacey in the half-hour NBC serial One Man's Family (1949), which had first been performed on radio and starred Bert Lytell and Marjorie Gateson. His real breakthrough came quite a few years later, once having moved to Hollywood, as co-star of the studio-bound crime series Hong Kong (1960). He played local British police-chief Neil Campbell, solving crime in tandem with an American newspaper correspondent (played by Australian actor Rod Taylor). This, in turn, led to other key roles including his almost legendary appearance in the classic The Twilight Zone (1959) episode "To Serve Man" in 1962 (at one time voted 11th in a TV guide poll of 100 best TV episodes of all time). Based on a short story by Damon Knight written in 1950, "To Serve Man" unfolds in flashback as narrated for the viewer by Lloyd's decoding expert Michael Chambers. It has all the elements of great television, with an excellent cast (including Richard Kiel, later known as 'Jaws' from the 'James Bond' movies; and Theodore Marcuse as Citizen Grigori giving an indelible impression of Nikita Khrushchev); and an unexpected and disturbing denouement when it turns out that the supposedly altruistic alien Kanamits have come to earth to harvest humans for food. Lloyd repeated his famous punch-line, "it's a cook book!", years later as a spoof in Leslie Nielsen's The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear (1991).
For most of the 1960s and 1970s, Lloyd was cast in supporting roles, often as mellifluous, meticulously-attired, upper-class snobs, practically guaranteed to harbour treacherous intent. He appeared in several motion pictures, notably as the malicious, smooth villain Frederick Carter who unsuccessfully tangles with Lee Marvin in Point Blank (1967), and in the same year, as homosexual drug dealer Vic Rood on the receiving end of the beating from Frank Sinatra in Tony Rome (1967). However, on the whole, Lloyd's preferred medium was television. He had a recurring role in the long-running soap-opera Dynasty (1981) as Blake Carrington's manipulative rival, Cecil Colby, in league with archvillain Alexis Carrington (Joan Collins). A versatile character actor, Lloyd's clean-cut, aquiline features and quiet air of authority lent themselves to portraying a vast gallery of medical men, soldiers, politicians and executives. Some of these were men of integrity, but like many a good actor, Lloyd rather enjoyed the challenge of playing the scoundrel.
During his half century-long acting career, Lloyd Bochner garnered two Liberty Awards as best television actor, Canada's equivalent of the Emmy Awards. He was also an active member in the Association of Canadian Radio and Television Artists. He died at age 81 of cancer on October 29, 2005 in Santa Monica, California. His children are actors Hart Bochner, Paul Bochner, and Johanna Courtleigh. One Man's Family

Linwood was the second youngest of four sons. He grew up with a strict mother, Eileen, and was enrolled in a gifted program at school. Linwood's first behind-the-scenes work was as writer and producer on the NBC series Silver Spoons (1982) (1985-86) and Night Court (1984) (1986-88). After developing an adaptation of the popular British sci-fi comedy "Red Dwarf" for American television that disappointingly didn't get past the pilot stage, Boomer moved on to the relatively short-lived sitcoms Flying Blind (1992) (Fox, 1992-93) and The Boys Are Back (1994) (CBS, 1994-95), writing episodes for both and serving as executive consultant of the former and co-executive producer of the latter. In 1996, he was one of the executive producers of the hit NBC sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996) and the failed ABC entry Townies (1996). While he also served in the same capacity for the edgy but controversial animated series God, the Devil and Bob (2000) (NBC, 2000), he found immediate success with the envelope-pushing Fox family comedy Malcolm in the Middle (2000) (2000- ). A mid-season replacement, "Malcolm" quickly won an audience with its boldly realistic yet off-kilter comedy focused on a struggling middle-class family of six: high-strung disciplinarian mother Lois (Jane Kaczmarek); dim but well-meaning father Hal (Bryan Cranston); smart aleck eldest son Francis (Christopher Masterson) consigned to military school; bullying second-eldest son Reese (Justin Berfield), reluctant boy genius Malcolm (Frankie Muniz); and just plain weird youngest child Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan. The series steered clear of the traditional sitcom trappings as it was shot in a single-camera style, with no laugh track and with frequent fourth wall-breaking commentary by the title hero. Malcolm in the Middle (2000) set itself apart from its competitors with a fresh and consistently funny perspective and the remarkable performances by the entire cast. Perhaps this was in part because the show was loosely autobiographical for Boomer. Linwood continues to work behind the scenes on several TV show projects. As The World Turns - Elisabeth Brooks Luyties was born on July 2, 1951 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Elisabeth Brooks began acting at age five with her career encompassing both stage and screen. She started appearing in television roles in the mid-1970s and managed to pursue her acting career as a single mother while working a variety of jobs to support herself and her son. She regularly appeared on the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives (1965), and in such popular television series as The Rockford Files (1974), Hart to Hart (1979), Starsky and Hutch (1975), The Six Million Dollar Man (1974) and Emergency! (1972). She is probably best remembered for her role as the villainess Marsha Quist in the horror film The Howling (1981), a role that brought her considerable notoriety within the genre.
Brooks was not only a beautiful actress, but also an accomplished writer, poet and musician. She had a wonderful deep, sultry voice and can be heard singing briefly in the film The Forgotten One (1989) - a horror film she appeared with longtime friend Kristy McNichol. She and McNichol had separated, but McNichol came back to care for Brooks on her final days. Brooks was also known for her spirituality and her encouragement to others. She created her own production company and became an established acting coach. She wrote and produced plays that taught children about the environment, and how they could work with parents to improve their community. An example of this was "Orphan Dreams", which she directed first at Calabasas High School and again at Chamber Theatre in Studio City.
Elisabeth Brooks, after a three-year struggle with cancer, died in a hospice near her Palm Springs, California home at age 46. As Gigi Bannister wrote in a Tribute to Elisabeth Brooks, "let it be said, Elisabeth Brooks was no quitter. She was a fighter... a true warrior to the end".Days Of Our Lives - Pasadena

Award winning actress Catherine Bruhier got her first break when she was cast in the normally Caucasian lead role in the David French play "Salt-Water Moon" opposite Eric McCormack at Theatre New Brunswick's main stage, garnering excellent reviews for her performance as Mary Snow. The play was considered untraditional casting as this was the first time the female character was portrayed by a non-Caucasian actor. As a result Catherine was asked to write an article in Toronto's Theatrum Magazine on her experience as a visible minority in an untraditionally cast role. The article entitled "Darkness Visible" was then republished by Prentice Hall in a school text book called Play Making Magazine as an inspirational piece for grades 7 to 9.
TV work soon followed and some of Bruhier's career highlights include Elaine Besbriss on the Paul Haggis created, award winning CBS/Alliance series Due South for 4 seasons. Airing in 62 countries weekly, it rated 'top pick' on the UK's BBC network. Working alongside Viola Davis on How to Get Away with Murder (ABC) as Dr. Sheila Greenlee and with Taye Diggs & Sana Lathan in the Universal Studio's box office hit sequel The Best Man Holiday as Dr. Perkins.
Recent screen credits include: All Rise (CBS), Kim's Convenience (CBC/Netflix), Bosch (Amazon) and Baskets (FX/Hulu)
Between TV and film work Catherine has performed leading roles in theaters across Canada, most notably: The Shaw Festival; Grand Theatre London; Factory Theatre; Theatre Passe Muraille; Theatre Aquarius; Theatre New Brunswick (TNB); Theatre Plus Toronto and in the Dora awarded production of the teen play, Carrying the Calf. Some favorites were: Mrs Lunn in George Bernard Shaw's "Overruled" at The Shaw Festival, Effie in the award winning play "Riot" at the Factory Theatre Toronto (a role created for her by playwright/actor Andrew Moodie) and Mrs Muller in John Patrick Shanley's "Doubt" back at TNB.
Not only an actress Bruhier wrote, co-produced, directed and starred in the short film The Sacrifice filmed in Los Angeles through SAG-AFTRA. The Sacrifice screened at 12 festivals and won 4 awards. She was honored to be 1 of 8 selected across Canada to attend the 2010 Women in the Directors Chair at the Banff Arts Centre. In the past Catherine was an invited jury member of the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television choosing the performers to be nominated for Gemini Awards. She is a member of C.A.E.A. Campbell first came to our TV screens in the hit Drama series Party of Five (1994). Described as TV's most believable teenager, her first major film role came in the form of innocent victim "Sidney Prescott" in Scream (1996), the film which re-defined the slasher genre.
She joined the cast of the acclaimed series House of Cards In 2016, playing Leann Harvey, shortly after in 2018 she starred opposite Dwayne Johnson in the action movie Skyscraper.
Many film offers came Neve's way but, as she was filming Party of Five (1994) for nine months of the year, the filming schedules often clashed. Jade Carter grew up on a small farm near the town of Ponoka, Alberta, Canada. He spent most of his time riding his horse, playing sports or reading by the fireplace and losing himself in books. However, at the age of twelve he was severely injured in a tractor accident that left doctors doubting he would live, much less walk. After two months he overcame the odds and walked out the hospital doors to return home.
During his long recovery he learned many life lessons, the most important of which was Carpe Diem - life truly can be over in an instant, so live life to the fullest and seize the day. Finding a passion for acting and travel, Jade followed that tenet and was highly active in drama and sports throughout high school and later majored in acting at the Red Deer College Theatre Studies Performance program, graduating top of his class. After living in the mountain town of Banff for two years, and owning his own business for two more, he then made the move to Los Angeles to pursue acting and explore the world.
Only months after arriving in LA, Jade landed his first guest starring role on NBC's Hang Time (1995), followed immediately with roles in Malcolm in the Middle (2000), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997), Ladies Man (1999), Miracles (2003), Cold Case (2003), NCIS (2003), 24 (2001) and more. His biggest break came when he beat out several Russian actors to play the role of Sergei Zhukov, the Russian brother to the star of the CBS dramatic series JAG (1995) - a two episode arc that stretched into a four-year fan favorite role.
His acting career firmly established, Jade's wanderlust now demanded equal attention, so he and his wife jumped the pond to backpack Western Europe for three months (narrowly escaping death while jumping off a moving train in Italy!), immersing themselves in the history and culture of the ancient cities of London, Paris or Rome. A few short months after returning home, the far side of the world soon beckoned and Jade and his wife were off again, this time to live in a campervan and drive Australia for nine months, with no agenda but to explore the land.
Once back in Los Angeles, Jade refocused on his acting career, landing roles on House (2004), The Young and the Restless (1973), General Hospital (1963), Days of Our Lives (1965), and several feature films. However, whether on set or exploring the world, Jade continues to remember the hard lessons of his youth, living life to the fullest...and just being grateful to be here at all.Passions

Born in Hamilton, Ontario, George Frederick Cooper attended Prince of Wales School and Central Collegiate. He became a police cadet but eventually headed to Toronto for acting jobs on the CBC. He went to Hollywood and landed contracts with Warner Bros and Universal Studios in the early 1960s. Warner initially gave him the stage name of Kyle Thomson in 1961, but he soon changed it to Jeff Cooper in order to use his own last name at least, there already being an actor named George Cooper. He played a cavalry soldier in 1966's "Duel at Diablo" with Garner and Poitier and a hippy in 1968's "The Impossible Years" with Niven, and was a biker in the first Billy Jack film, 1967's "The Born Losers." His biggest role was in 1972 when he starred as Kaliman the Incredible, one of South America's most popular comic book heroes. The film was made by a Mexican film studio and was an enormous hit in Mexico. Cooper also made films in Europe and Egypt, and in 1978, he starred in a martial arts feature called "Circle of Iron" with David Carradine and Christopher Lee. It was originally written by Bruce Lee, who had intended to star in it but abandoned the project shortly before his untimely death. To hedge his bets, Cooper got a real estate license but that same day, he landed the role of Dr. Simon Ellby on the TV show "Dallas." He never did sell a home. In 1995, he returned to Hamilton to care for his ailing mother. Wife Colette said he had become "a private person" since he returned to Hamilton and had mostly spent his final years in Hamilton learning how to play guitar, taking nature walks, working out at the downtown YMCA, and reading profusely. William was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After living for three years in West Africa from the ages of three to six, William continued growing up in Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec. Speaking both fluent French and English, William is a dual citizen of both Canada and the US and holds current passports for each country.
Like every Canadian kid, William built a skating rink in his backyard every winter and played until it was too dark to see his skates. However, growing up, baseball was Wil's first love and he dreamt of playing for the Montreal Expos. He would often run into Donald Sutherland at the Expos games, never imagining one day becoming an actor himself. William still has a signed ball from the 1981 Cincinnati Reds Team that Mr. Sutherland gave him.
During the winter months William stayed in shape for summer sports by playing High School Volleyball. As part of the Junior Team he was asked to accompany the Varsity Team to the Provincial Championships. Being the only Junior Player at the Varsity Tournament, William was asked to play quite a bit. The team went on to win the Provincial Championships that year. During his years at Richelieu Valley High School William's Teams won two Provincial Championships. After High School William continued to play at Champlain College making the starting lineup in his first year. To this day coach Bonenberg has left an indelible mark on William's life. HIs regimented coaching style has applied many lessons William still holds dear to this day.
After completing his first year at Champlain College, William moved to Florida to continue his education.
Within a few years, the burgeoning TV and film industry in Orlando piqued his interest. His first audition was for the Season 2, two-hour season premiere of Steven Spielberg's SeaQuest DSV starring Roy Scheider. William had three callbacks with Director Bryan Spicer, booked the role, and his ongoing thirty-one year career as an actor began
While working on SeaQuest DSV he became friends with Actor/Producer/Director Peter deLuise who suggested Wil take his talents to Vancouver, Canada. And he did. Within six months William was working non-stop. William managed to turn the Guest Star role of Brent Kallus, on Showtime's critically acclaimed comedy "Beggars and Choosers" written by Peter Lefcourt, into a recurring role. To this day, it's one of William's favorite characters he has ever played.
William considers his work with acting coach Larry Moss to be a pivotal and important time in his life and career. William was introduced to Larry by his friend Laurie Holden in Santa Monica CA. in 1999 and maintains his friendship with Larry to this day. Like many actors who worked with Larry, Wil is grateful to Larry for changing the trajectory of his career.
After honing his craft in Vancouver for ten years, William moved to NYC to work on the famed Daytime Drama, All My Children. There, he received an Emmy Nomination during his first year on the show.
William returned to Vancouver to work on Bravo Canada's critically acclaimed drama "Godiva's" starring Eric Karpluk.
Then legendary Bill Bell's international mega-hit "Bold & The Beautiful" came calling. A monster hit enjoyed in over 132 countries around the globe, William worked two years on the show portraying the character Storm Logan.
William was thrilled to book the series regular lead role of Peter McNeil in the comedy series "InSecurity." The show received tremendous ratings in season one and barreled forward into season two. After years of playing "bad guys," the smart and character-driven comedy was a joy to work on.
William worked non-stop for years in Primetime roles such as HBO's The Transporter, Castle, NCIS, and recurring roles on Nikita, Beauty and the Beast, and Netflix's Hemlock Grove. ABC's "General Hospital" then came calling and William was a top fan favorite for his eight-year run in Los Angeles as Julian Jerome.
William has been back at work in primetime on NCIS: Los Angeles, Quantum Leap, and leading roles in several MOWs. He is now developing his own action adventure series, "Colt & McQueen" and an MOW "Christmas in Bordeaux" with plans to produce.
William been repped by Manager Paulo Andres of "Rothman Andres" for over 14 years in Los Angeles, and Candace Fulton at Integral Artists in Vancouver, Canada for over 20 years. All My Children

Most familiar to TV audiences as the diminutive but feisty court bailiff on Night Court (1984), Selma Diamond's entrance into acting was not through the usual venue of vaudeville, stage work or modeling - she was a writer for TV shows, once having been nominated for an Emmy for Caesar's Hour (1954). Although she had that tough New York accent and street demeanor, she was actually born in London, Ontario, Canada, then raised in Brooklyn. A graduate of New York University, she at first made a living by selling cartoons and fiction to the "New Yorker" magazine. NBC hired her as a writer for one of its radio shows, "The Big Show," and she later made the transition into writing for television. Her film debut was as the voice on the telephone of Spencer Tracy's wife in It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963), where the world got a sample of the distinctive Diamond voice: nasal, high-pitched and one that could never be mistaken for anyone else's. She did a lot of TV work and was a regular on another series, Too Close for Comfort (1980) before Night Court (1984). She died due to lung cancer in 1985.The Edge Of Night- Actor

January 2020, Paramount Network ordered straight to series 'Mayor of Kingstown.' The series comes from co-creator and executive producer, Academy Award nominated director Taylor Sheridan, along with co-creator and executive producer Hugh Dillon. Executive produced by Antoine Fuqua, and co-starring Jeremy Renner, Dianne Wiest and Kyle Chandler, the series will start streaming November 2021.
Combining acting with a distinguished career as a singer songwriter, Dillon earned notoriety in his multi-platinum punk rock band. It was early in the band's success when Hugh caught the attention of filmmaker Bruce McDonald, who cast him in the 1996 film Hard Core Logo. Quentin Tarantino saw it at South by Southwest, deciding on the spot to distribute the movie through Rolling Thunder.
This caught the attention of Debra Granik (Winter's Bone), who cast Dillon to star opposite Vera Farmiga in the Sundance Film Festival award winning film, Down To The Bone.
Dillon's ability to capture honest and realistic portrayals of complicated characters has been his calling card. The award-winning actor starred in the dark and twisted serial Durham County, leading him to his breakout role in CBS/CTV co-production Flashpoint, which aired for five seasons.
Early 2013 saw Dillon join AMC's The Killing, simultaneously appearing on Showcase's drama Continuum. Dillon has been busy since then with various productions, more recently adding roles in 2017 in Twin Peaks and feature film Wind River, alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner, with director Taylor Sheridan. Dillon also appears alongside Kevin Costner, in Sheridan's critically acclaimed Paramount Network show Yellowstone, set to air its fourth season in summer 2021.
Dillon has continued to push the boundaries of his creativity, taking a hands-on approach to developing and producing unique stories, such as short film The Offer, and Issues, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Following a celebrated return to the stage with the Headstones, Dillon has since been back in the studio to record the band's latest two full-length albums, and their first vinyl release. 2017 has seen the release of their latest album Little Army, where the band gave their fans an exclusive behind the scenes look into the making of the album, in real time, and includes the #1 hit single 'Devil's On Fire'. Late 2019 saw the release of the eagerly anticipated new album 'PEOPLESKILLS', and with Lead single, 'Leave It All Behind' hitting number 3 on the Billboard Rock Charts.Twin Peaks (2017)- Music Artist
