Oscars 2022 — Fan-Voted Cheer Moment

On March 27, 2022, two new open-ended, fan-driven awards, Cheer Moment and Fan Favorite, will be awarded for the first time at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony. The new awards will hopefully increase engagement from the general public, as well as, ceremony viewership by giving film fans some skin in the game. Oscars fans were asked to upload images of their favorite cheer moment movie scenes during the nomination period. A shortlist of five scenes was culled from that pool to compete for the top spot in a final round of fan voting.
