The Alice In Wonderland Heroine Motif

by aimless-46 | created - 2 weeks ago | updated - 1 week ago | Public

What we are talking about here are films in which the original Alice is a distinctive feature or dominant idea. This can be a physical resemblance to literary illustrations of Alice and/or a heroine whose progress in a story has distinct similarities to those experienced by the literary Alice.

The use of Alice in the language of a film is hardly surprising since she is full of virtue and probably the most courageous heroine in literary history.

This is actually a retelling of Alice In Wonderland but with much of Lewis Carrol's dialogue altered or omitted. So I include it on the list even though traditional Alice in Wonderland films are not included.
