The main plot is a bit weaker than I remember (and I remember it being bad) but overall the movie is still really fun - DirectorChristopher NolanStarsGuy PearceCarrie-Anne MossJoe PantolianoLeonard Shelby, an insurance investigator, suffers from anterograde amnesia and uses notes and tattoos to hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife, which is the last thing he remembers.Rating: 92%

Although the first act is a bit meddling at times, this film is one of the most reflective I've seen from Wes Anderson's catalogue, and it's a poignant message to contemplate - DirectorShane BlackStarsRussell CroweRyan GoslingAngourie RiceIn 1970s Los Angeles, a mismatched pair of private eyes investigate a missing girl and the mysterious death of a porn star.Rating: 80.5%
The plot felt much weaker this time around, as did some of the moments with the daughter, but it was still a really fun time. I just definitely like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang much more in retrospect - DirectorChristopher McQuarrieStarsTom CruiseHayley AtwellVing RhamesEthan Hunt and his IMF team must track down a dangerous weapon before it falls into the wrong hands.Rating: 72.5%
Every Mission Impossible movie since Ghost Protocol has gotten a bit more complex in plot than the last one, trying to up the stakes. It worked, just barely, in #6, and here is the first time I think them 'upping the stakes' tips the scale over and makes the film really slow and bogged down. The action set pieces are what we've all really come to see and they're amazing but I just hope to see more of them in part 2 - DirectorMartin BrestStarsRobert De NiroCharles GrodinYaphet KottoA bounty hunter pursues a former Mafia accountant who is also being chased by a rival bounty hunter, the F.B.I., and his old mob boss after jumping bail.Rating: 71%
The beginning really slogs down but it gets but-gusting funny from around the halfway point onwards - DirectorChristopher NolanStarsCillian MurphyEmily BluntMatt DamonThe story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb.Rating 91%
Barbie and Oppenheimer, ironically enough, get very similar reviews. Oppenheimer is stunning and really nails the pure existential dread of creating the atomic bomb. I think if the beginning was more focused and the political intrigue in the third act was easier to follow, it'd be like a perfect film - DirectorGreta GerwigStarsMargot RobbieRyan GoslingIssa RaeBarbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.Rating 89%
Barbie and Oppenheimer, ironically enough, get very similar reviews. Barbie completely knocks it out of the park with the self-aware, yet endearing tone. I think the film's arc in the 'real world' was quite a let down and needed many more revisions. If they found a way to improve that 20-30 minute chunk, it'd also be like a perfect film - DirectorDamien ChazelleStarsRyan GoslingEmma StoneRosemarie DeWittWhile navigating their careers in Los Angeles, a pianist and an actress fall in love while attempting to reconcile their aspirations for the future.Rating: 99%
Save for some questionable dance numbers in the first 10 minutes, this is basically a perfect film - DirectorJunta YamaguchiStarsRiko FujitaniManami HonjôGôta IshidaOn a calm winter's day, a mountain inn becomes trapped in a time loop.Rating: 91%
A lovely comedy that takes the typical time loop concept in a fresh new direction
