Science has always been both a fascinating area to study and profoundly unnerving place of thought. The genre of science fiction has been a stunning avenue for exploration into the many ideas of what science may hold for us, whether it's truly plausible or not. When the 1950's rolled around, an explosion of new and terrifying sci-fi films came to the theaters. Many would come to note this expansion as the "Atomic Age of Sci-Fi", where many of these films were greatly influenced by the current social debates of science with nuclear powers and ever-growing political turmoil of the Cold War.
