Ian Somerhalder was born and raised in the small southern town of Covington, Louisiana. His mother, Edna (née Israel), is a massage therapist, and his father, Robert Somerhalder, is a building contractor. He has Cajun (French), English, and Scots-Irish ancestry. Boating, swimming, fishing and training horses filled much of his recreational time growing up, as did the school drama club and performing with the local theater group. With his mother's encouragement, at age 10, he began a modeling career that took him to New York each summer. By junior high, he opted to put modeling on the back burner and focus more on sports and school. A few years later, when the opportunity to model in Europe arose, Somerhalder grabbed it, embarking on an enriching path of work, travel and study that took him to cities, including Paris, Milan and London. At 17, he began studying acting in New York and, by 19, had committed himself to the craft, working with preeminent acting coach William Esper. His fate was sealed while working as an extra in a club scene in the feature film, Black & White (1999). A talent manager visiting a client on the set spotted Somerhalder in a crowd scene of 400 and immediately signed him for representation. He was cast later for the drama Changing Hearts (2002) directed by Martin Guigui. Happy to be anchored in New York, Somerhalder spends much of his time studying acting, writing and practicing yoga. His recreational interests include water and snow skiing and horseback riding.- Actor

Chris Wood was born in Dublin, Ohio. During childhood, Wood spent all of his free time writing plays and putting them on with his sister and their friends. Once he got his first super-8 camera at eleven years old, he began writing and directing short films which he entered into local film festivals. This included PROBLEM: SOLUTION, the story of a boy who drops his contact lens, only to discover that he is out of contact solution. Critics said it was "...pretty good."
Wood attended public school at Dublin Jerome High School, where he was encouraged by his drama teacher to pursue acting and writing professionally. In his senior year, his school theater program mounted a play that he wrote about a talking dead body that is discovered on a business' rooftop. His mom didn't love it.
Wood attended Elon University in North Carolina, where he received a B.F.A. in Music Theatre. Weeks before graduation, he was cast as the lead role in the national tour of Spring Awakening, which brought him to Los Angeles for the first time. The show earned Wood his first representation, and soon after the completion of tour he was cast in a comedy pilot from Amazon Studios. After the pilot was not picked up to series, Wood began to work on television in shows such as Girls (2012), The Carrie Diaries (2013), Major Crimes (2012), The Vampire Diaries (2009), and the Civil War mini-series Mercy Street (2016).
His first leading role in a series came in the limited event series, Containment (2016), where he played an Atlanta-based cop trapped in the quarantine zone of a dangerous viral outbreak. Wood then joined the comic-book series Supergirl (2015) for a two season arc, portraying the superhero 'Mon-el'. Then in 2002, at the ripe age of 11, Malese competed on Ed McMahon's "Next Big Star" (PAX) where she won 4 rounds in the kids vocalist category. She continued to build her teen fan base by guest-starring on Disney's "Hannah Montana" and "Wizards of Waverly Place", Nickelodeon's "iCarly", CBS's "The Young and the Restless", and Lionsgate's feature film adaptation of "Bratz-the Movie".
Since then, Malese has made a seamless transition from successful teen star to a maturing actress with more serious roles such as the major recurring character of "Anna" on season 1 of CW's "Vampire Diaries". Alice Jane Evans was born in 1968 to David Evans, a professor of Applied Mathematics at Bristol University and Janet Evans, a teacher of English literature. Alice gained a degree in French and Italian from University College, London, and then moved to Paris where she studied acting at the Cours Florent. She quickly began to work, mainly in French television but also in the very successful Italian miniseries Le ragazze di Piazza di Spagna (1998) as "Nathalie", a French student who is forced to come to grips with the realities of life when she finds out she is pregnant by a man she is not supposed to be with. This was particularly challenging as Alice played the role in Italian, but had to loop the entire film later on because her own accent in Italian sounded too British and not French enough! Her first big break came when her first feature, Monsieur Naphtali (1999) was brought to the attention of Oscar-winning director Claude Lelouch, who invited her to audition for a film he was writing, Une pour toutes (1999) and, after three callbacks, cast her in one of the three lead roles. Alice played "Macha", one of three actresses who, after a failed production of Anton Chekhov's "Three Sisters", invent a scheme to swindle wealthy men out of money and eventually end up making the film of the story of their lives. The film was a critical, if not commercial success. Anne Parillaud and Marianne Denicourt co-starred.
Aside from an episode of TV show "Highlander", Alice did not act in her mother tongue, English, until 1999 when Disney cast her as the lead in 102 Dalmatians (2000) alongside Glenn Close, Gérard Depardieu and Ioan Gruffudd. This was a huge break for Alice but it was marred by tragedy. Her beloved mother, Janet, suffered a fatal heart attack whilst out walking her dog, less than 24 hours before Alice's final screen test for the role. The story goes that she never told her mother about the test and was hoping to surprise her if she won the role. Janet was only 59. In a strange twist, the actor she first met only hours after losing her mother was to become her closest friend. Alice became very close to Ioan Gruffudd during the shoot and they became a couple in late 2000. They got engaged in 2005.
In 2000, Alice shot Best of Both Worlds (2001) for the BBC, in which she played "Diane", an air stewardess who is a wife and mother, who begins a relationship with a man in Italy, where she flies three times a week and eventually marries him and embarks on a double life. The series was written by acclaimed writer Paul Abbott and Alice received glowing reviews for her performance. In 2002, she was cast by Mel Smith as the lead in Blackball (2003) alongside James Cromwell and Vince Vaughn. The film was a commercial and critical flop and other commercially unsuccessful British and European films followed. Perhaps because of this, Alice moved to Los Angeles, California in 2003. In the United States, she has worked in both film (Four Corners of Suburbia (2005)) and television (CSI: Miami (2002), The Chris Isaak Show (2001)), although she still continues to work in the United Kingdom, most recently alongside Alistair McGowan in a new series for BBC One and with Billy Boyd and Eva Birthistle in the Independent feature Save Angel Hope (2007).
She lives in West Hollywood with her husband, actor Ioan Gruffudd. She gave birth to their first child, Ella Betsi Janet Gruffudd, on September 6, 2009.- Actress
