I do hate putting movies like this at my number one because when it comes to pure definition of bad filmmaking it is honestly no contest. But what sucks is at least these other movies have at least a star attach, a decent director, and some redeeming qualities when it comes to the script. But very low budget almost straight to streaming movie shouldn’t be considered my number one. But damn when a movie is this bad it deserves to be at my number one. This year has sucked and it didn’t help that this came out at the beginning of the year. This is beyond bad. But again bad cinematography, editing, and acting is a pure sign that this wasn’t the highest budget movie to come out this year so I wish I can give it a pass. But what the hell man scene after scene just solidified my hatred for this movie minute after minute. This doesn’t even have a 1000 user rating on this film so yeah don’t waste your time like countless others that haven’t wasted their time with this bullshit.

An all-time rager of a teen house party turns to terror when aliens attack, forcing two warring siblings to band together to survive the night.
    DirectorJason EisenerStarsDominic MarichePhoebe RexCalem MacDonald
Yep. The boyfriend who made that one kid watch his friend die was pretty much the highlight of the movie. When I saw that shit I was like okay this movie got me with that one. Other than that tho this movie is a piece of shit. I usually don’t put movies this cheaply made this high up because I understand that budget restrictions along with other restraints that the filmmakers can’t be put to blame on. It is those huge overly produced Hollywood pictures with no soul or creativity should be place in the top spot. But it’s looking like this might stay at number one. Because I don’t care about integrity or anything like that when a movie is this bad who cares about that kinda shit. This is just flat out a terrible freaking movie with no desire in being anything other than that.

DirectorAline Brosh McKennaStarsReese WitherspoonAshton KutcherZoë Chao
Possibly the most boring film I have seen in quite some time. I mean there is dialogue and an actual plot unlike some other artisty movies that have less than a plot and less characters are more fun and enjoyable that this film. I couldn’t stand this for one more second and can see every turn coming from a mile away. Seriously Legally Blonde and Punk’d don’t have any chemistry with most of the time them not being on screen together. So they are separated for most of the film and still couldn’t provide nothing to make me understand in any world these two would end up together. The movie is just plain bad. I hardly give 1 stars anymore but this one deserves it way too much.

    DirectorRobert RodriguezStarsBen AffleckAlice BragaJD Pardo
Damn we have Ben, Jen, and Ana all amongst my worst films list. But this is the worst of them all. Robert Rodriguez could be a great director but holy crap is this a full blown terrible attempt of a live action anime film that never fully reaches that potential. I know RR is an anime fan because he did make Alita but cmon how did you drop this ball so far down and bad. A great concept about a powerful being going up against another powerful human being. That is 90% of anime now days but the action is filmed terribly and all the creative choices make no sense. But not in the I’m fascinated in seeing how this is all unfold but instead it is just a slog and bore to get through.

  • Chris Evans and Ana de Armas in Ghosted (2023)

DirectorDexter FletcherStarsChris EvansAna de ArmasAdrien Brody
This wouldn’t be up this high but you know what who cares this is just terrible. The biggest fault is when Chris Evans who played a parody version of this on Not Another Teen Movie is playing that exact same character but not in an ironic way. But it’s effortless in trying to entertain the audience is something to actively be admired by. But sadly that novelty wears off in the next scene but just how badly they fuck up an action scene or a scene where we are trying to get to know either two leads. Not just with them together but them separated to try to give us some character development.

    DirectorEmma TammiStarsJosh HutchersonPiper RubioElizabeth Lail
Yeah this might be the worst horror film of the year. Even worst than Kids vs Aliens. This went nowhere and it went in completely different directions in ways I didn’t expect. I wish I like some of the performances but damn really none of them did it for me. Not even PETA.
  • Ashley Benson in Alone at Night (2022)

AB still can’t act to save her life but even this movie is beneath her. Also pull back the fucking camera and stop making the dialogue so damn obvious. Like holy crap I can predict every line after the next. Well I guess her and Lucy Hale are going for who can star in the worst movie. But Ashley Benson or AB can still held her head up high because she was in the cinematic masterpiece that is Spring Breakers.

I couldn’t place this ahead of Your Place or Mine. I just couldn’t but this was pretty close. At least it wasn’t as boring as that film I fully could pass out from boredom from both movies but this has one or two jokes that actually got a chuckle. But even the party didn’t help the movie to get better. It just sucks.

Yeah an easy spot and an easy movie to clown on. However this still manages to grind my gears and feel absolutely fine by putting this utter piece of garbage in my bottom ten films of 2023.
  • Pierce Brosnan, Ellen Barkin, Nina Dobrev, and Adam Devine in The Out-Laws (2023)

    DirectorTyler SpindelStarsAdam DevinePierce BrosnanEllen Barkin
The fact that this utter piece of shit is not even in my bottom 5 speaks volumes of just how many terrible movies came out this year. I mean you have seen this time and time again however this cast is insane and maybe deliver a line or two that did get me to chuckle but it is no surprise that this is a Netflix original and this movie doesn’t even need a writers strike because from the bottom of my heart that an AI could write it is worst. All of these actors just seem to be improvising these lines and they go on and on to no end.

    2/10
  • Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Paul Rudd, Kathryn Newton, Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, and Jamie Andrew Cutler in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)

I don’t overly hate on the MCU or even superhero movies but damn has the past few movies been testing my limits. This and Shazam really sold themselves as nothing burgers. Big bloated messes that have nothing to be desired. Seriously I wish there was something for me to enjoy. But even when the visuals can’t save a movie where 90% of the movie takes place in a whole different universe then damn you failed.

Somehow it is worst than the other no dialogue movie out this year. Man this year was a complete disaster of full on terrible movies. John Woo is an awesome director who can do no wrong. And Rick Flagg is a great actor and is able to convey so much with no dialogue. But you need to go full on bonkersville with movies like this. It does end in a way that did make me go damn okay you went there. But nothing spark any interest and it couldn’t for the life of me keep me entertained. O yeah all Mexicans are criminals. Like all of them.
  • Helen Mirren, Djimon Hounsou, Lucy Liu, Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Rachel Zegler, Zachary Levi, D.J. Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, and Ross Butler in Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023)

The film continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word "SHAZAM!", is transformed into his adult superhero alter ego, Shazam.
DirectorDavid F. SandbergStarsZachary LeviAsher AngelJack Dylan Grazer
Movies now are just a bunch of people in a room explaining their big plan and then executing said plan. Only for it the fail and then the last third act is them being triumphant. With dialogue that is so obvious you can see this shit from sitting on your couch at home. It just becomes boring. Seriously the whole movie is just flat out snore fest no matter how many “dark” moments are in the film. Seriously I know the board room scene back in the first one was seen a little too risky for a PG-13 superhero film. And their is one scene here where a character dies off himself and it is pretty dark. But man Guardians vol. 3 just pretty much proved that you can push that PG-13 envelope. This is just child’s play. So I got bored, found one scene pretty funny but yeah to me an overall failure that I couldn’t wait to be over.

    3/10
  • Camille Rowe in Night of the Hunted (2023)

    14. Night of the Hunted

A woman stops at a remote gas station in the middle of the night and becomes the target of a sociopathic sniper with a secret vendetta.
DirectorFranck KhalfounStarsCamille RoweJeremy ScippioJ. John Bieler
Again another one of these movies with nothing new to offer. It is the same guy who just patiently waits to kill someone when clearly had all the time in the world to kill her. Like cmon it was obvious from the get what would happen. Which did not make me waste a second to drift my mind to other plot points to make this film better. Or at least take this genre into a whole new direction.
  • Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel in Shotgun Wedding (2022)

    DirectorJason MooreStarsJennifer LopezJosh DuhamelLenny Kravitz
Jlo ruined the beginning of the year with this romantic comedy based around misunderstandings over misunderstandings. Beyond stupid and not funny. The action is even bland which isn’t helped by lazy direction and terrible cinematography that I couldn’t keep my eyes on screen based on just how bad it looks. However, you know the real kicker it still isn’t as bad as Ghosted. How in the hell is this bottom rent version of that film with basically the same set up and set of actors that are way past their prime is still better than a movie with two more charming actors and with way more star power is still worst that this one.

    3/10

DirectorStig SvendsenStarsElli Rhiannon Müller OsborneLiv MjönesSjur Vatne Brean
I wish I like this more. The tone worked for this story and I love werewolves especially ones where rip apart their victims. But this barely scratch my itch. I was left wanting more. And I’m sorry but the lead here might be the weakest link in this movie. The script for one has moments of actual creativity. Whereas the lead here doesn’t have anything truly to shine or give a reason to care for what she is going through. And the ending leaving it kinda ambiguous just grind my nerves more than it already was. Just watch Ginger Snaps.

And then Jlo ruined the start of the Summer let’s hope she has another movie at the end of the year to fully ruin this whole year. But she’ll all right. She’s JLO. And she still has some moves but this attempt of an action movie is just ain’t it chief. Seriously this is background noise right down the every letter in that word. It’s not even pleasant to watch JLO kick ass because it clearly fake and holy crap I understand yeah it’s a movie but I was never invested in any scene presented in front of me. It is exactly the film you think it is. No flavor on that steak.

Rating this a 3 should be what the average Netflix action film is. Aside from Extraction these movies just don’t have the charm or any type of energy that makes watching these movie fun. It really is a slog to get through. Even The Grey Man from last year, Red Notice, 6 Underground, The Mother, and a handful of others that all fit in that 3/10 range. But this is the crown jewel of that 3/10.

It is all the same dull shit that not only that Watiti has made but comedies that have been coming out lately. I didn’t feel like punching up the air or any inspiration that I had felt when I watched the original doc way back in the day. Forget this movie it really offers nothing and Fassbender is kinda miscast here even tho I found him funny in moments but holy crap is this just a flat and boring comedy that I couldn’t get into. Forget it being a sports movie because it is not even close for it being one.

I really didn’t like the last one and this felt really even less like a Scream movie. I’m just not a fan of these two newest Scream movies. The cast is not that likable (to me), the story is underwhelming and retread of previous Scream movies along with it being so damn obvious. It just became a chore to get through. It is also not fun to watch a movie where you can easily tell who the killer is. Seriously it is accessible as only background noise. And Scream was never like that.
