- DirectorSiddalingaiahStarsRajkumarBharathiLoknathRajeeva comes to the village to visit his sister only to find that she's in financial trouble and has lost her husband. He decides to stay and help her out.According to me, Bangaarada Manushya is the Greatest Movie of All-Time. Script is based on the novel of the same name written by T. K. Rama Rao, and it is beautiful and heart-touching. Dr. Rajkumar delivers an outstanding performance, and plays the role with such finesse that no actor in the world except Dr. Rajkumar himself can replicate it. Telugu's Superstar Krishna remade this as Devudulanti Manishi, but his performance was not even 5% of Dr. Raj's outstanding performance. T. N. Balakrishna also delivers an outstanding performance as Rachutappa. Vajramuni plays the role of an antagonist with great finesse. All other actors shine too.
Screenplay of Bangaarada Manushya is very fast, and Excellent direction from Siddalingaiah. Storytelling, narration, and songs of this film is outstanding. Great Background Music from G. K. Venkatesh.
The way in which characters are developed in Bangaarada Manushya is also great. Even the editing is excellent, and cinematography from D. V. Rajaram is outstanding.
Couple of Fights along with 5 songs are spaced appropriately which makes Bangaarada Manushya a perfect family-entertainer along with being a Social Drama Film.
The first song, Nagunagutha Nali, talks about human life from birth-death, and it is the greatest song ever, and my All-Time Favourite. The scene where Dr. Rajkumar explains to Bharati about the importance of duty over desire is the best scene ever, and there is lot of meaning in it as lot of humans tend to neglect duty when they desire something. Gautam Buddha once said, "Desire leads to disappointment". For common people, climax scene looks to be very emotional, but there is a deeper philosophical meaning attached to it. The climax scene indirectly conveys that nothing except God is permanent. Even relationships have an expiry date. We are connected to infinity. The movie also shows advanced concepts like village development leads to country development, as there is a scene where Dr. Rajkumar helps M. P. Shankar and other villagers to also get lands from co-operative farming scheme.
In the third song, Aagadu Yendu, we can see engineering techniques like borewell drilling etc, and this was perhaps the first movie to show that technique.
Bangaarada Manushya also teaches us that we cannot assume other's identity, we have to be what we are, as Dr. Rajkumar stays in the village after returning from city, once his education is complete. This is truly once in a lifetime movie.
My Rating: 10/10
