Show business is often a family affair.
We previously explored Hollywood’s acting dynasties and now shine the spotlight on famous fathers and their lookalike sons. These sons not only take after their famous fathers in appearance, but also in profession.
Some, like “Schitt’s Creeks'” Eugene Levy and Dan Levy and “After Earth’s” Will and Jaden Smith, have played actual fathers and sons on screen. The resemblance between O’Shea Jackson Jr. and his father O’Shea Jackson aka Ice Cube, is so close that the younger Jackson portrayed his father in “Straight Outta Compton.”
From the Eastwoods to the Estevezes, check out these father-son lookalike duos.

1987's "Wall Street" was released in theaters two months after Black Monday: the day the real stock market took a dive. In the timely film, Charlie Sheen plays Bud Fox, a young stockbroker who admires underhanded corporate raider Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas). Bud pursues Gekko as a client with non-stop calls and contraband Cuban cigars, and when he finally makes contact, his entire life changes. Under the influence of Gekko, who famously utters the line "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good," Bud does some terrible things, including offering up insider information that could destroy his blue-collar father, played by Charlie Sheen's real-life dad, Martin Sheen.
The film, which won Douglas an Academy Award for Best Actor, was directed by Oliver Stone, who allowed the young actor to pick the person who would play his father in the film. He was given the choice between Jack Lemmon or...

When Martin Sheen began pursuing an acting career in the early 1960s, he made a crucial choice that would follow him for the rest of his life. The then-young actor, who was raised by a Spanish father and an Irish mother, opted to abandon his given name of Ramon Estévez and use the stage name Martin Sheen as a way to get more work.
The move paid off, as Sheen was able to build a highly successful acting career that included roles in movies like “Apocalypse Now” and iconic TV characters including President Jed Bartlet on “The West Wing” and Robert Hanson on “Grace and Frankie.” And the actor is still going strong at the age of 81, as he is currently gearing up to star alongside his son Charlie in “Entourage” creator Doug Ellin’s new show “Ramble On.”
Still, as he looks back on his storied career, Sheen has some regrets.

Martin Sheen says he regrets changing his name from Ramón Estévez. So can you spot the superstars from their real names in our quiz?
Martin Sheen has said that he regrets changing his name for the sake of his career. The 81-year-old, who was named Ramón Antonio Gerardo Estévez at birth, told Closer Weekly that he had never changed it officially, and “sometimes you get persuaded when you don’t have enough insight or even enough courage to stand up for what you believe in.”
But Sheen is far from alone. Many film stars take stage names either to attempt to disguise their ethnicity, to sound tougher, to protect their privacy, or try to simplify it for posters. See how many of these questions about film star name changes you can answer.

Martin Sheen has had fame and artistic respect for decades, but the “West Wing” and “Grace and Frankie” star does have one big regret about his career: his stage name.
Sheen’s real name is Ramon Estévez; his father was Spanish and his mother was Irish, but he adopted the much more Anglo-sounding name of “Martin Sheen” when he launched his acting career.
But speaking to Closer Weekly, Sheen explained that he never actually changed his name legally and aside from his acting credits has only ever been known by his birth name — and if he had it to do over again, he’d have kept that for his professional life, too.

The star of The Breakfast Club now has his father Martin Sheen’s looks, a bromance with Alec Baldwin – and sad news for fans of St Elmo’s Fire
Unlike his father and his brother, Emilio Estevez never changed his name. Ramon Estevez became Martin Sheen and Carlos Estevez is better known as Charlie Sheen, but Emilio never cashed in his Latino heritage for mass market (read: white) appeal, even when he was a young ambitious teenager and being known as his father’s son would have only helped his career.

Charlie Sheen has reportedly decided to get back to his roots by using his given name for his role in the upcoming Robert Rodriguez movie "Machete Kills."
TMZ has obtained a picture from the credits, which shows Sheen being billed as "Carlos Estevez," which is the name he was born with. Sheen has never gone by that name in his professional career.
Actor Martin Sheen, Charlie's father, was born Ramon Estevez, as his father, Francisco Estevez Martinez, was from Spain. The elder Sheen said in an interview 10 years ago that he adopted the stage name "Martin Sheen" because he had trouble getting acting jobs with the Spanish name, but he never changed it legally, which means all four of Sheen's children have Estevez as a last name. It's something Sheen said he regrets.

In a role that shouldn’t be too much of a stretch, Martin Sheen has been cast as the father of the character played by his real-life son, Charlie Sheen, in the FX TV comedy series Anger Management.
The show is already very much a family affair as another sibling, Ramon Estevez, is an executive producer. However, it’s not yet a full house for the Sheen/Estevez clan as there’s no sign of sister Renée or brother Emilio, who’s probably too busy with his directing career or coaching under-achieving PeeWee hockey teams.
This won’t be the first time that Sheen has worked with his son either, having starred with him in Two and a Half Men, Cadence, Hot Shots Part Deux and Wall Street (in which he also played the father of Sheen junior).
Martin Sheen recently gave an excellent performance as Uncle Ben in the The Amazing Spider-Man (another fatherly,...

The trinity of Hemsworth hotness will soon be complete: Luke, the oldest of the three brothers, will join Chris and Liam in Hollywood, reports Deadline. Although the first to catch the acting bug, Luke Hemsworth, 32, has worked exclusively in the family’s native Australia. He reportedly signed with his siblings’ management team last year and will soon have big blockbuster shoes to fill: his younger brothers Chris, 28, and Liam, 22, starred in two of this year’s highest grossing U.S. films, The Avengers and The Hunger Games, respectively. Hemsworth most recently shot Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms, a miniseries about two warring motorcycle clubs in Sydney.

Their movie is "The Way," a crowd-pleasing indie production starring actor Martin Sheen and written and directed by his son Emilio Estevez. In the film, a father tries to connect with a deceased son by taking up his spiritual pilgrimage to northern Spain.
Their book is "Along the Way: The Journey of a Father and Son," an equally engaging dual memoir by Sheen and Estevez that explores their lives and their intense relationship. Punctuated with humor and unusual frankness, the emotional highs and lows they share will resonate with fathers and sons.
One of 10 children raised in a blue-collar neighborhood in Dayton, Ohio, young Ramon Estevez found lots of love at home but little support for his ambition to perform for a living.

American actor Martin Sheen (legally Ramon Estevez) ushers in a compelling third season of NBC.s documentary series, "Who Do You Think You Are?" on Friday when he investigates his Irish and Spanish roots. The journey for Sheen takes him to his mother's Irish side, where his uncle had a role in the Irish War of Independence as a member of the Irish Republican Army (Ira). Martin Sheen, star of TV's "The West Wing" and "Apocalypse Now," has been retracing his family roots whilst making two films, a Spanish one and an Irish one, back to back. The irony isn't lost on the actor who's parents, one Spanish and one Irish, were hard working immigrants who met at a 'citizenship school' in Dayton, Ohio, where he was born in 1940, as one of 10 children. "I've always felt the balance between the two cultures, I've never felt more Spanish than I did Irish and I've never felt more Irish than I did Spanish," he told the press this week. I love both countries, and both cultures had a profound effect on me." Sheen was born Ramon Estevez but he took on the Anglicized stage name to get work as an actor, he told the press. "My father was my hero, he was the most influential person in my life growing up.

And many happy returns! Actor, activist, father, grandfather and perhaps our greatest pretend President, the Emmy, Tony and Golden Globe Award winner Martin Sheen turns 70 today. He's that old? Wait, he's that young?!
The actor, of Spanish and Irish ancestry, was born Ramon Estevez in Dayton, Ohio on Aug. 3, 1940. He's been a professional actor since the Kennedy administration (more on the Kennedys later). Responsible for an IMDb.com entry as long as your arm, no one has ever accused him of being over-exposed -- he's always a welcome presence.
Let's face it, he's aged better than most in Hollywood; he portrayed tormented young men well into his 30s, and his rosy cheeks and luxurious hair would still make him a lousy choice to play Father Time.
