- In the early 1990s, Siebert moved from L.A. and settled on a small farm in Northern California's Sonoma County wine country.
- November 2015: Siebert appears on stage in Sonoma County, CA as Ebeneezer Scrooge in Santa Rosa's 6th Street Playhouse production of "A Christmas Carol".
- Siebert returned to the stage playing the role of Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman" at the 6th Street Playhouse in Santa Rosa, CA from March 30 through April 22, 2018.
- Siebert's most recent acting work was at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival in the title roles of Macbeth and Antony in "Antony & Cleopatra" and at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis in Ibsen's "The Wild Duck".
- Siebert and his first wife Catherine Kilzer met at Marquette University, part of the acting department. They married in 1962 and "Newhart" actor Peter Bonerz stood up as best man. The couple had three children: Christopher, Charlie Jr. (also known as Andy), and Gillian. Siebert has three step-children with present wife Kristine Leroux: Kristine Jr., Max, and Jeremy.
- Siebert's career is now largely dedicated to directing, a phase that began with episodes of "Trapper John" he was co-starring in at the time. He went on to helm a number of popular shows such as "Knot's Landing", "Silk Stalkings", "Renegade", "The Pretender", "Hercules", and "Xena, Warrior Princess".
