Merle Colby Allin, Jr. is an American electric bass player and the
older brother of the late punk rock singer/songwriter/performance
artist GG Allin. Merle Allin (or "Pinkie" - being GG Allin's nickname
for his elder brother) performed in three groups that featured GG
Allin: Malpractice, The AIDS Brigade and The Murder Junkies, playing
the electric bass guitar. He continues the Murder Junkies, his
brother's last backing band, with varying new singers, new guitarist
"Scotty" Wood, and original drummer Donald "Dino" Saches. They remain
an active GG Allin tribute band as of 2010,Touring Australia for the
first time in early October.

Is reported to be the source for his brother, GG Allin's, nickname and eventual professional name. As GG was born Jesus Christ Allin, Merle, as a young child, couldn't pronounce the word Jesus so he often called him the phonetic "Je Je".
