It was eight years ago this week that Arrow kicked off what would be known as its “Mystery Grave” season, seeing as the opener ended with a “Six Months Later” flash-forward that saw Barry Allen arrive late for the funeral of someone clearly close to Oliver Queen.
The only clues we had to go on from that startling, minute-long stinger was that Oliver felt responsibility for whomever‘s death, and as such now was resolved “to kill him,” the person responsible for it.

ABC likes to have a sudsy primetime soap on its midseason roster, and Promised Land looks like a winner.
In the past, we've had one-and-done but highly watchable shows like Grand Hotel and The Baker and the Beauty, so we're hoping Promised Land stands the test of time.
The series is an epic, generation-spanning drama about two Latinx families vying for wealth and power in California’s Sonoma Valley.
The first trailer dropped at the network's panel during the Winter TCA tour, and there was another big announcement regarding the series:
The first two episodes will be available on Hulu the day after the series premiere on ABC, marking the first time ABC programming will be released on Hulu before debuting on the network.
The series premieres Monday, Jan. 24 (10:01-11:00 p.m. Est), on ABC, out of The Bachelor.
Will Promised Land and The Bachelor be a match made in TV heaven?...

"We're all the same in here... We gotta look out for one another." Momentum Pictures has just released a new red band trailer for the film A Million Little Pieces, an intense addiction drama from husband-wife team: actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and director Sam Taylor-Johnson. The two of them co-wrote the screenplay, based on James Frey's memoir about his own experiences with drug addiction. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays a young drug-addled writer approaching the bottom of his descent who submits to an intense detox at a treatment center in Minnesota. Also starring Charlie Hunnam, Billy Bob Thornton, Juliette Lewis, Giovanni Ribisi, David Dastmalchian, Andy Buckley, Eugene Byrd, Dash Mihok, Odessa Young, and Tom Amandes. The best-selling 2003 memoir A Million Little Pieces has been adapted into a film depicting the drug recovery of author James Frey. While the book was later faced with controversy for not being 100% factual, it is still a (mostly) true story of a young man in crisis in the fight for his life.
Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as James Frey, in the film directed by his wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson. The two adapted the screenplay together for the film. The cast also includes Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy), Billy Bob Thornton (Sling Blade), Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers), Giovanni Ribisi (Sneaky Pete), David Dastmalchian (Ant-Man), Odessa Young (Assassination Nation), Dash Mihok (Silver Linings Playbook), Eugene Byrd (Sleepers), Andy Buckley (The Office) and Tom Amandes (Everwood).

With Damien Darhk's plan for Star City and the world finally revealed, the clock is ticking for Team Arrow to bring his dastardly plan to an end. Unfortunately, Oliver needs to rescue his sister first, but based on the promo below, it seems as if she's once again under her father's spell. What this is going to mean for the finale and season five remains to be seen, but it certainly shakes up the status quo... Following the shocking events in the previous episode, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Diggle (David Ramsey) race to rescue Thea (Willa Holland), while Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Curtis (Echo Kellum) and Noah (guest star Tom Amandes) join together to stop Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough). Glen Winter directed the episode written by Brian Ford Sullivan & Oscar Balderrama.

Tom Amandes knows a thing or two about playing a dad on screens both big and small. Over the years, the veteran actor has counted Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Kate Beckinsale, Emily VanCamp, and Chris Pratt among his fictional offspring, which is one hell of a gene pool if you ask us. Tonight, Amandes returns Arrow, his latest dad gig, reprising the role of Noah Kuttler, estranged (and villainous) father of Emily Bett Rickards' Felicity Smoak. Only this time around, he's called upon by Team Arrow to help them ward off Damien Darhk's latest deadly move. "I think there are, of course, issues there," Amandes told E! News about Noah's return to his daughter's life. "But in these...

Arrow has certainly been on a downward trend this season, but will it be able to recover as it heads into the final three episodes of the much criticized season four? Next week, it's up to Felicity and her father, who for some reason are both experts with nuclear weapons, to save the day. On another front, Oliver, Diggle, and Lyla go after Damien Darhk and Thea & Malcolm face-off with Anarky. I'm going to level with you: I've fallen pretty far behind on Arrow, and am now finding it pretty tough to get back into the show, especially when the Green Arrow has become a supporting character to one of the most irritating original creations in a comic book TV series since Smallville's Chloe Sullivan. Alas, it seems next week's instalment is also going to be all about Felicity (a great female character who is written horribly), so check out the promo and let us know your thoughts on tonight's episode below. When Team Arrow learns what Damien Darhk’s (guest star Neal McDonough) next move is Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) realizes she needs to ask her father, Noah Kuttler (guest star Tom Amandes), for help. The month of May is nearly upon us, and that means it’s time to gear up for the final episodes of our favorite TV shows. Thanks to The CW, we have two official descriptions that allow us to peer into the future of some of the hottest superhero series around: The Flash and Arrow.
On May 17, the penultimate episode of The Flash’s second season, titled “Invincible,” will hit airwaves and it sounds like it will have no shortage of excitement. Expect to see Katie Cassidy play the much talked about Earth-2 doppelganger of Black Canary, who has adopted the moniker of “Black Siren.” It sounds like she will be more villainous than expected, so those of us who have theorized that she will one day crossover to Arrow to join their team may have to toss that bit of speculation out the window.

Brie Larvan Aka The Bug-eyed Bandit Sets Her Sights On Felicity – Brie Larvan (guest star Emily Kinney) breaks out of jail and turns up at Palmer Tech threatening to kill everyone unless she gets the bio-chip that is implanted in Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) spine. This week’s Arrow featured the return of a lot of fan-favorites with Roy Harper, Nyssa al Ghul, Katana and even Shado, as well as the introduction of Tom Amandes as DC Comics’ the Calculator who, as easily guessed, was revealed as Felicity’s father. In addition to that, Thea’s blood lust situation starts to get even worse. Despite that many of my favorites, including Roy, returned for this episode, “Unchained” felt it was a little all over the place, despite how smoothly a lot of things came together in the end. But despite of that, it was fun to see so many old

Whoa. That's pretty much where we're at right now. Whoa, holy crap, Omg, whaaaat? Tonight's episode of Arrow threw quite the curveball into its typical disposable villain of the week formula when it introduced the self-named Calculator (Tom Amandes). Felicity spent the episode battling the expert hacker online without ever actually meeting him. When she actually did meet his real-life, non-computer persona, we were shocked to discover that she already knew him…as Dad! The Calculator had been blackmailing Roy (Colton Haynes) to steal a few things from Palmer Tech, and Roy ran to Team Arrow for help. That help mostly consisted of Felicity taking the guy down via the internet, with...

The CW has released the first official images from next Wednesday’s episode of Arrow, and by far the biggest reveal is the fact that Colton Haynes is back not just as Roy Harper, but as Arsenal, too. When we last saw him, the young hero had faked his death to protect the Green Arrow’s secret identity, passing on his bow to Thea Queen. There’s no sign of her here though, which does lead to a lot of interesting questions.
