- Before his foray into cinema, Jun Aristorenas used to do sing-and-dance routines onstage. In 1960 he toured the Asia-Pacific and Las Vegas as part of a vaudeville troupe. Aristorenas had a walk-on part in Sampaguita Pictures' Lupang Kayumanggi (1955); after which, he became a bit player in Kulang Sa Pito, Sobra Sa Walo (1956). Having been formally introduced in Kardong Kidlat (1965), he snagged a lead role in Dugong Tigre (1965). He soon founded his own production outfit, Junar Productions: its first venture was Dugong Kayumanggi (1967), its title sort of an homage to his lucky acting debut. Aristorenas also appeared in Simarron Brothers (1968), Magnum Barracuda (1968), Cuadro de Jack (1968), Soliman (1970), Guadalupe (1971), Ang Mababangis (1971), Pulang Lupa (1971), San Cristobal (1971), Kampilan (1972), Apat na Bagwis (1972), Buhay Maynila (1972), Dimas Guerrero (1973), Santa Fe (1973), Isang Kumot, Tatlong Unan (1985) and Baril at Balisong (1986). He also joined the Fil-Am cast of the campy prison-movie She Devils in Chains (1976) by Cirio H. Santiago. He recently appeared in Pag Oras Mo, Oras Mo Na (2000), starring Phillip Salvador and Sunshine Cruz. Four years before that he was seen in Cara y Cruz (1996), with Raymart Santiago and Dennis Padilla. Aristorenas was nominated by the Film Academy of Movie Arts & Sciences (FAMAS) as best actor for his performance in Elias, Basilio at Sisa (1972). He received the Rajah Soliman award from the 1970 Manila Film Festival as Best Director for Dimasalang (1970).- IMDb Mini Biography By: Full Monty
