Elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of The Kinks) in
1990.
Although he quit The Kinks in 1984, to be replaced on the drums by Bob
Henrit, he stayed on working at Ray Davies's studio, Konk, and contributed
to work on Kinks tracks after he quit.
Having been in The Kinks for 20 years (from 1964 to 1984), he was in the
group longer than anyone other than the Davies brother, Ray Davies and
Dave Davies.
