- On 4 June 2021, she was critically injured in New York City, USA when she was struck in a hit and run by a motorized scooter which drove through a red light while she was crossing Amsterdam Avenue near West 64th Street in Manhattan while on her way to her alma mater, The Juilliard School. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and was unable to recover, dying on 14 June 2021.
- An accomplished actress, she has also appeared often on stage and co-starred with Malcolm McDowell in a production of "Look Back in Anger" that earned her a Theatre World Award and was subsequently produced in a film version. On Broadway, she has appeared in such distinguished productions such as "Rumors" and "Arcadia", and also was among the cast (playing the mother) in the short-lived musical "High Society", based on the play "The Philadelphia Story". She appeared on Broadway in the revival of "Accent on Youth" in 2009. In 2010 she appeared in Noel Coward's "Present Laughter.".
