- Margaret Bannerman was born on December 15, 1896 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was an actress, known for The Gay Lord Quex (1917), Lady Audley's Secret (1920) and Hindle Wakes (1918). She was married to Pat Somerset (I) and Anthony Prinsep (London producer). She died on April 25, 1976 in Englewood, New Jersey, USA.

- Canadian actress who began her career on the English stage in 1915 and became a celebrated theatrical star during the early 20's. She specialised in revues and light comedy and was acclaimed for her performance as Lady George Graystone in Somerset Maugham's "Our Betters", which ran for 548 performances at the Globe Theatre, London. Photos of Bannerman were regularly featured in the Canadian Daily Record, circulated among Canadian troops serving in Europe during World War I. Conducted a successful year-long tour of Australia in 1928. Her attempt to break into American films in the 1930's was unsuccessful and she returned to the stage in her native country, retiring in 1963.
