Exclusive: Lifetime Movie Network has greenlighted Nancy Grace’s Eleventh Victim, an original movie based on Grace’s debut novel The Eleventh Victim with 90210 alumna Jennie Garth set to play the lead. Thriller The Eleventh Hour centers on Hailey Dean (Garth), a highly successful Atlanta assistant Da whose fiance is murdered. After a big courtroom triumph, securing the conviction of Clint Burrell Cruise for the murder of 11 prostitutes, Dean leaves the Da office and moves to Manhattan for a new career as a therapist. But soon Cruise is released from prison on appeal and starts stalking her and killing off her patients. John Fasano (Darkness Falls) wrote the TV adaptation. Talk show host Grace, a former prosecutor herself, is executive producing the movie with Ted Bauman and Josh Sabarra. PR executive Sabarra, a longtime friend of Grace’s, was Lifetime’s head of communications until the company’s merger with A&E Networks.

It’s Bond of Silence, an original movie starring Grey’s Anatomy’s Kim Raver. Like most Lifetime original movies, Bond of Silence was inspired by a true story. Raver stars as a widow investigating the death of her husband who was mysteriously murdered while trying to quell a wild teenage house party on New Year's Eve. Shannen Doherty has signed for a holiday-themed Hallmark Channel original movie.
The former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star has been cast in "Growing the Big One," which centers on a woman who inherits her debt-ridden family farm and enters a pumpkin-growing contest in hope of avoiding foreclosure. Along the way, she falls in love with her partner in the contest.
The movie has begun production in Vancouver and will premiere in October 2010.
"Growing" is produced by Gbo Films, with Howard Meltzer ("The Brooke Ellison Story"), Jane Goldenring ("Pizza My Heart") and Ted Bauman ("Pictures of Hollis Woods") executive producing. Mark Griffiths ("Our House") is directing from a script by Diane Mettler and Anna Sandor.

Hallmark Channel is planning "Christmas in Canaan," starring Billy Ray Cyrus.
The telefilm, slated to air in December, is based on a novel co-written by another country star/actor, Kenny Rogers, and Donald Davenport.
"Christmas" chronicles the unlikely friendship that develops between two boys -- DJ (Zak Ludwig), who is white, and Rodney (Jaishon Fisher), who is black -- in 1960s Texas as they bond over concern for a wounded puppy.
Cyrus plays DJ's dad, who, with Rodney's grandmother, concocts the puppy plan after the boys get into a schoolyard tussle.
Neill Fearnley is directing from a script by Davenport and a story by Rogers. Production has begun in Vancouver.
Margaret Loesch, Dan Angel, Ted Bauman, Howard Braunstein and Michael Jaffe executive produce.

The cable network is moving with production on "Seven Deadly Sins," a four-hour miniseries based on Robin Wasserman's "Seven Deadly Sins" series of novels: "Lust," "Greed," "Envy," "Wrath," "Gluttony," "Sloth" and "Pride."
"Without a Trace" alum Eric Close is set to star in the mini, written by Gary Tieche and to be directed by Jeff Renfroe.
Dreama Walker ("Gossip Girl"), Rachel Melvin ("Days of Our Lives"), Jared Keeso ("The Guard"), Emma Lahana ("The Guard"), Greyston Holt ("Durham County") and Steven Grayhm ("Taken") co-star in the project. It is slated to begin production late this month for a 2010 premiere.

A new television movie is filming in Victoria, British Columbia starting this weekend and "Sorority Wars," will star Rob Mayes in this latest Lifetime production. From science fiction series creator "Impact," Ted Bauman will act as producer in this comedy, thriller.
