- Winner of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR in 1971, 1975, 1979 as part of the Moscow team.
- In the film Three Seconds (2017), which is dedicated to the victory of the USSR team at the Munich 1972: Games of the XX Olympiad (1972), the role of Sergey Belov was played by Kirill Zaytsev.
- In 2007, Sergey Belov became one of the founders of the Student Basketball Association. In it, he took the post of sports director and held it until his death.
